NOT ANNAS PLACE ! Please disregard previous reviews as this is no longer the same restaurant. The kitchen has been taken over and is now called NOLA Louisiana Kitchen. There is no Yelp page for this business so these reviews will be misleading. The signage for this place is still Anna's but it is really a whole new restaurant with a new menu. We dined in for lunch today. It is pleasant enough inside with a few tables and about half of the space devoted to a bar and slots. The food is excellent and you wont find anything like it in the immediate area. It is New Orleans style food, things like Po'boy, etouffee, jambalaya, fried seafood and seafood boils.They even have beignets! My husband had the etouffee which he said was delicious. The shrimp Po-boy was excellent. Very crispy and the right amount of heat. The server was very helpful and attentive. The Nutella beignets were wonderful! I hope this restaurant establishes its own Yelp page and gets their own reviews. Unfortunately it is kind of confusing as there is no signage identifying it as a new place with a new menu. It really looks like just a slots place and the parking is confusing because there are two lots adjacent to the building that are not for this place for some reason. They were both empty. There is another lot just to the east where you can park. I hope this place can solve the identity issue because the food is so good and I would like to see it stick around. read more

The food is not good -Friday fish fry is Gordan's Fisherman you can purchase at grocery store!! Supported this establishment for 11years -when the food was good and when it is was terrible! Played and loss a ton of money on their machine-no regrets about that -it was what they call gambling -well after all these years -the owners banned 9 ladies from the bar-all in are 60 and 70 years! Didn't like are negative attitudes -I I hope it made him feel like a big man -banned us! We have enjoyed telling people -all are shocked by the stupidity of the owner!! read more

Saw they opened a new pub/restaurant on Roosevelt Rd. Great food, good drink prices and an awesome jukebox! They are getting the new games in soon and this place has a huge parting lot. This place is in the perfect location and close to major highways. Good people here.... Come give it a try!!! read more

Flew in from phoenix and walked over here from a nearby hotel. 1/4 mile. It was way worth it. When u see it you will be underwhelmed. But holy moly the food is ridiculous and the folks in here a just amazingly nice. I had a meatball sandwhich, baked potato soup and a mound of steak fries. $9 bucks out the door. I am stuffed. Disappointing!! 1st after initially telling the waitress that we needed more time to review the menu, she didnt come back for another ten minutes. It took 20 for the food to come out. Mind you that we were the only table in there on a Wednesday afternoon. We ordered the loaded fries, 12 wings and patty melt. The loaded fried shouldve been renamed the Michael Phelps' fries, as they were swimming in cheese and cold! 6 of the wings were garlic parmesan and 6 were bbq. The garlic parmesan wings were good. The bbq wings werent very good. They were swimming in a weak bbq sauce. The patty melt was decent it was just too greasy. At this point I was prepared to give the place a 2 (including the fact that they only had one restroom that was single occupancy). But heres where it really goes downhill. I informed the waitress that I had a Yelp deal for the place that was worth $20. She was saying that I couldnt use it because she had taken a %age off the appetizers because it was Wednesday's special. I informed her that I wanted to be charged full prize for the apps that way I could use the Yelp deal. I let her read the deal for herself. She brings back a new receipt that only took off $10. Again I explained that the deal was worth $20. For some reason she wasnt understanding what I was saying. The manager comes out to tell me that I have to spend $20 to get $10 off. I showed him the deal, he proceeded to pull a "Whatcha talking bout Willis?". I gave him that "C'mon man" look. He finally fixed the issue and took the $20 off. This isnt fully the waitresses fault as its the responsibility of whoever decides to create the deal to inform the staff of the terms of the agreement! Congrats on making the waitress look like an idiot buddy!! What I do fault her for is not actually reading the deal when I showed it to her. Needless to say, I wont waste my time going here again for mediocre food, service and basically a waste of several thousand calories. Another thing any establishment That I judge places on is their clientele. Its annoying that 2 regulars were sitting at the bar loudly swearing and gossiping about someone and their mansion. We checked the website and was impressed with the menu. Upon arrival, practically two-thirds the menu had been cut down to only simple items "the bartender can handle" as the Westchester location lost their cook. Call ahead before considering the other (Westmont) location to verify menu items are available. OK place if you just want to drink and game. read more

Me and my husband were in Chicago for a week and staying at a hotel close to Anna's Place. We wanted to go somewhere for dinner and checked on Yelp. After deciding that this is the place, once we got there, we were nothing but pleasantly surprised by the place and people. Small, cozy restaurant with great people. Food was delicious (I always get the swiss and mushroom burger, and so far, from a restaurant, this was the best I had). And the Tiramisu cake .... sooo yummmyyyy!! When I first walked in, I thought that I wouldn't be there long. Small bar, video poker, etc. Don't let the initial look fool you. Great bar to hangout. The food is really good. The cook takes pride in the food preparation. She asked me twice about my thoughts on the food and seemed genuinely interested in my thoughts. The bartender and the patrons were all fun and engaging. We live around the corner and regularly order for take out while my husband has a couple beers upon pick-up. We LOVE their food! I crave their Cali Burger and my husband usually gets their Cajun Chicken Wrap. Their food rivals all of the big names in the area. Awesome little neighborhood bar. Stopped in with a friend for a quick bite to eat and ended up lingering over an hour thanks to the warm service and delicious food. I had the bruschetta burger with fries - cooked perfectly and very juicy. The only disappointment that fries were an additional charge... but worth it. Living a few blocks away, I was so excited to see Anna's open. We have long needed a good restaurant / sports bar in the area and this has since become a local haunt for most of us on our block. Food is always good and Jeff, their chef, has really amped up the flavors and the quality of the food since the first few times I was in. The owners are incredibly nice people and the friendliness of the staff and patrons makes it a welcoming environment to have a quick bite or plan an evening watching your favorite sports. Anna's has become a go-to for our family (we live in Westchester) when we want to go out but don't want to go far. The whole family, especially my 13 yr. old son, loves the beer nuggets. One of the best patty melts ever. Not a huge menu, but everything is well made. If you're looking for one of those pubs with a huge menu and a 2 page beer list, Anna's isn't for you. But if you're looking for a clean, comfortable place for a great burger and a cocktail Anna's fits the bill perfectly. read more

This is one of the best places to go. People and patrons are great. Food is delicious and quick. The owners couldn't be any nicer.

If there were minus stars I would chose them instead. This place has the tightest machines in the western suburbs. You may as well just toss your money out the car window on the way there rather than sit in that ugly atmosphere and put your money into machines that very rarely pay out. The odds of winning at Penny's about a block away is much more realistic. The atmosphere is ugly! The lighting is depressing and the entire decor is very unprofessional for both a gaming atmosphere much less a "restaurant atmosphere". McDonalds looks like a work of art next to this place with it's hideous mustard yellow walls and cheap uncomfortable wood tables and chairs. Ugh. They don't offer anything appealing like cookies or chocolates like other gaming places. Laura's offers free Starbucks, has containers of chocolates next to each slot machine, has a nice selections of free doritos and chips to choose from. Anna's Place has a cheap bowl of suckers. Is that a subliminal joke from the owner?....Get it....SUCKERS !! You have to be a sucker to play here. The owners are the only ones making the money and the rest are SUCKERS. And the owners seem to be laughing at you for being a sucker. What kind of a nut would have a bowl of suckers next to a bunch of losing machines. This place is a joke. Sorry, I will be at Penny's, Betty's , Laura's, or Papa Perserio's. Anywhere besides this mustard yellow hellhole without even as much as a picture on the wall to try to even make it somewhat attractive to their customers. All they want is your money, and they put none back into making it a pleasant place for the "suckers" who play there. UGH !!! read more

The manager reached out to me which I really appreciate. I'm happy the business was responsive. I can't say one way or the other if we will be back in but it shows that they care and we will probably give it another shot. It is a good neighborhood type of place to go in for snacks and drinks. For an appetizer, we had the Beer Nuggets which were amazing and extremely reasonable price wise. Went on a weeknight the place was busy as there was a hawks game on. The wait staff was really attentive and made sure to check in on us a group of 4 from time . The food was great we had a few appetizers which were HUGE and I had the burger which again was enormous and juicy, I took it home for my next days lunch.The juke box is so much fun and just the overall atmosphere is very friendly read more

My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday night, along with two other couples. Other than a couple of people playing video poker, we were the only ones in the place. It was rather bright in there since ALL the lights were on, kind of how you expect to see when a bar announces last call. I only mention it because the pictures I saw posted suggested a bit of a different environment. The beer could have been colder. I ordered the New Belgium Ranger IPA, but it ended up being Voodoo Ranger. Same brewer, but it is a different beer and not what was listed on the menu. One person ordered a Maker's and Ginger Ale, but they didn't have Ginger Ale, which seemed a bit odd. We ordered some apps which were just your basic breaded mushrooms, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers. Nothing special about them at all. Next thing you know the kitchen was closed and it was only 8pm, so we didn't get a chance to try the burgers, which many reviews had indicated they were pretty good. We promptly got our check and left. Given everything we've heard about the place, we were a bit disappointed. read more
