She's cheap and gets the job done but the quality of her grooming is lacking. When I picked up Charlie today from Poochies, he looked so adorable. He was evenly shaved and the detail around is face was just amazing. The owner, she obviously loves dogs and takes great care and has impeccable attention to detail, ensuring the grooming matches the breed of the dog. It cost $15-20 dollars more, but I don't care because he looks so good and I know when his fur grows out it won't be uneven. I totally recommend this place. Before we went on vacation she came to meet me and my cat and they seemed to get along very well. I could tell that Yvette loves and cares for all animals very much based on the way she responded to my cat. I also knew that she had a cat of her own so there wasn't much instruction required. I knew that she would take good care of her. During our vacation Yvette sent us with an e-mail update on how Ellie was doing. It was very nice and thoughtful of her to do so as it brought us peace of mind while we were away. Ellie was a happy kitty when we came home and I would definitely use Tail Blazer's services again for future vacations. Great service. Great business. Very reliable. Today we took my mum's dog bebe (a 4 pound chiuahua) to get her nails trimmed Timmie Doggie Outfitters. When my mum went to pass bebe to the STORE OWNER (who said he would take her) he quickly removed his hands and allowed a 4 pound little dog fall, at least 4 feet. She landed on her side and rolled onto her back. Thank God she doesn't seem injured - however this man, a shop owner in downtown Toronto then had the nerve to say she was showing him her teeth. Bebe is a sweet dog with no agression whatsover. We didn't get so much as an im sorry. He showed no remorse, and behaved as if nothing had happened after being confronted by my mum and myself. Is this the way we expect our beloved pets to be treated by a "professional" who owns a business where he cares for our beloved fur babies. This needs to be posted and people need to know what kind of man they are trusting their furry family members.

I started to bring my dog in for grooming when I had a bad experience elsewhere due to rude service. I was unimpressed with the first couple of grooms as the groomer couldn't execute the cut as shown in the pictures I sent her. I was going to just find somewhere else, but I let the management know I was unhappy - and I'm glad I did. They agreed that the cut my dog got did not look like the image I provided, so I was offered a discount on my next groom and a different groomer was recommended. Her name is Melissa, and she has been doing an amazing job on my Shihtzu since! My girl gets lots of compliments when she leaves.

My puppy had just removed her cone after being spayed, so her fur was very matted and knotted, and she was super stinky (she couldn't bathe for 3 weeks). We requested a teddy bear cut and even brought in a photo and they did their best to accommodate that. Although they had to shave my puppy more then anticipated due to the matting, they gave me a courtesy call before doing so. As infection followed injury, they questioned our decision to take the dog to the vet for treatment and questioned the treatment and then they even questioned the legality of service by our vet who prescribed antibiotics and cortisone cream. Finally, groomer hid behind her contract. She then terrorized us with a threat of a lawyer. Regretfully, it is obvious that Eden (owner?) is not taking responsibility for injury. A week after hurting our dog which is still preventing him from even normal walks due to groin infection, this groomer did not even call to ask about dog's health. Do they care about injured animal, or don't they? Should we avoid this grooming service? Oh yes, we are going to AVOID them from now on.

Both times, they claimed my dog pooped and peed while being bathed which is a surprise. My dog is used to baths so the only reason for her behaviour would be, she was badly treated which made her scared. My other suspicion is that this place lies about it so they can charge extra $20 for the clean up. When you do not give them a tip, rightly so, for the poor treatment of my pet, they complain. Tire Biter was definitely the most accommodating in terms of my schedule and being able to accommodate me so last minute. Nancy, I'm assuming is the owner (I may be wrong), answered the phone and was extremely helpful and pleasant. The morning of my pup's grooming appointment, I had the opportunity to meet Nancy and she's wonderful. When I came in, there were other dogs and their owners coming in for grooming and/or daycare. All the dogs came in extremely excited and happy - which is a good sign! On top of that, Nancy knew ALL the dogs and owners names - which shows that she genuinely cares. I came to pick my pup up about 2 hours later and I was extremely happy! He no longer smelled dirty (he plays outside a lot :( lol ), his coat was much softer than it usually is, his nails were cut - although one or two looked as though they weren't or were cut very unevenly, but I may be wrong. Regardless, I am extremely happy with the quality and service. My heart melted when my pup came out to see me, super clean with a cute bandana around his neck! I deducted one star because when my s/o came to pick him up, the person at the front desk (no longer Nancy) was on a personal call the entire time ... which isn't the best customer service. I DO NOT recommend this store!…read more I knew what winter coat I wanted and chose to find a local business to support that carried it. #1: It took 4 COLD WEEKS TO ARRIVE, because they waited for more orders before they would send in their order! When they called to say it arrived, I said that I would pick it up the next day at 8am. #2: Waited and waited on the sidewalk while they tried to find the order. They came out with a "similar coat" (their words), and I remarked it was too big (dog would pee on it) and wrong colour. They then went back into the store to bag what I was told would be the one I did order. #3: When I took it out of the bag the next day to put it on, I realized they put the WRONG COAT in the bag. It was the wrong colour and wrong size. Tried it on anyway, to give it a chance. I believe it was the "similar coat" they tried the day before. #4: Phoned 24 hrs after pick-up, to say I was bringing back the coat because it was the wrong colour and size - and that my actual order must be in their store by their mistake. #5: TOLD I CAN'T EXCHANGE OR RETURN COAT, EVEN THOUGH THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG ONE!!
