You'll be greeted by Sue, the charming and capable office administrator. She will quickly take all necessary paperwork, and the appointment you scheduled will be honored on time. The staff here is efficient. Dr. Cranska has got to be one of the most down-to-earth men you're ever going to meet. He offers clear explanations for the work you're about to have. The precision with which he works is evident, and this can only come with many years of experience in the field of dentistry. Allison is the wizard, however, with her genius hands and her years of dental hygiene, she should win an award for excellence in dental hygiene. I'm not a fussy person by nature, but I'm quite fussy about my dentist. I travel 100 miles round trip for Dr. Cranska and his team. This team is a hidden gem in Severna Park, MD.

I really regret choosing this practice for my son's orthodontic care, and I would not recommend it…read more The biggest problem is that the orthodontist is only available at this location on Fridays, and only for a half day. That makes scheduling incredibly difficult. If anything goes wrong, like a poking wire, broken wire, or loose bracket, you may have to wait one to two weeks to be seen. If you are unavailable during those few Friday hours, you are simply out of luck. It gets worse when the office closes on a Friday or when families are out of town during school breaks. Those missed Fridays create a backlog, and appointments fill up fast. In our case, we are out of town for spring break on 3/27 and 4/3, the office is closed on 4/10, and 4/17 is already full, so my son can't be seen until 4/24. This delays his care by nearly a month. I was also frustrated by how limited their orthodontic supplies were. They gave us only one palate expander key, and when my son lost it, they did not have another one available. I had to order one online and wait nearly a week for it to arrive, which delayed treatment again. These keys are inexpensive, so not keeping extras on hand feels cheap and inconvenient. The front desk staff also seem to know very little about the orthodontic side of the practice. If I call with questions about my son's care, I am usually told to wait until Friday and speak directly with the orthodontist. This even happened with a basic scheduling question. When we forgot to make his next appointment before leaving, I called later that week to ask when he was due back and was told I needed to call again on Friday. I had to remind the receptionist she could just check his chart herself. That was frustrating and unhelpful. Unfortunately, I have also seen the general dental side of the practice decline over the years. I used to really like this office, but now the care feels inconsistent. You never know which dentist you will see because providers are switched without notice. They also no longer hand out toothbrushes or keep the toy area stocked, which may seem minor, but those small things help make visits easier for kids. I have also had frustrating inconsistencies with my twins, who are on the exact same dental schedule and insurance plan. At one visit, one twin got x-rays and the other did not, simply because they saw different providers. When I asked why, I was told it was a "judgment call," even though it was time for the x-rays and insurance would have covered them. That kind of inconsistency makes it hard to trust the care. Overall, this practice feels disorganized, inconsistent, and especially inconvenient for orthodontic patients. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

My initial impression of this practice was very high. I really like Dr Di Umoh's caring manner. I…read morehad gum surgery twice. The first was osseous surgery, which went well. My only issue was the heavy meds they prescribe as a matter of course. Another friend mentioned that too. I did not need the oxy pills and I never intended to take them, which I did not. The second time, I had gum grafting done. Again, during the surgery, Dr Di was very caring and professional. My follow up appointment was about six weeks later, and I still was having lots of discomfort and had another adjacent tooth that was numb. That was a very difficult appointment, not because of the doctor, but because of rough handling by the two assistants. I also have never regained normal feeling in the roof of my mouth (the donor tissue site), and it has now been over two years. I was told after the surgery it might take up to a year a year for the nerves to heal. I wish there had been more review of possible complications and negative potential outcomes before surgery. I don't recall seeing an informed consent form or discussing that with anyone on the team.

It is such a pleasure to write an awesome review, and this may be one of the best reviews I have…read moreever written. I had a tooth where the crown came off probably ten+ years ago and after many attempts to glue it back in place, finally it came out and was out for probably seven or so years, during which it became infected periodically, but I did not have it extracted, as I was advised many times over the years. Fast forward, my wife and I moved to the Annapolis area a few years ago and we had to find all new doctors. Dr. Miele was recommended to my wife to do a complex procedure that should have been quite painful, but my wife told me that Dr. Miele performed magic, as her procedure was painless and perfect. Dr. Miele sets the bar to the top as an incredibly warm, compassionate and extremely professional doctor. I think the warm and compassionate traits are somewhat rare in the medical field, my wife and I are truly lucky to have found Dr. Miele. Now, to my procedure, magic! Yep, that's about all I can say. It was the second to the back, top tooth, close to my sinus and tricky to extract without any complications. Dr. Miele, again, demonstrated warmth and compassion, while being a top doctor in her field. These are a lot of words to say that my wife and I recommend Dr. Miele, if we could give 15 out of 10 starts we would. Now, all this being said, the office staff mimics Dr. Miele, they are easily one of the best teams we have ever met. We would also give the entire office 15 out of 10 stars.
