Anna Thai Restaurant - Pad Kee Mao - Thai Near Me - Decatur, Illinois

The Pad Thai (shrimp) was perfectly prepared, and the potsticker appetizer was equally delicious. Will visit here again!

I would have rated this place a 4. because we didn't get our menu and water 10 minutes after we were seated and our food took over 30 minutes. 1 appetize, pad thai and fried rice. I asked the waitress to add cucumber salad and she said "I got you" it never made it to our table. I waited and we decided to check out. Now I remember why this is the only 2nd time we've eaten there in 5 years. But we ordered to go seems faster. I do love the Anna thai fried rice it's very tasty. pad thai a little dry and need more flavor. thank you! read more

I've walked or driven by this restaurant for 3 years and finally tried it. It was late and I was by myself so I got a carry out order. My go to dish for my first visit to a Thai restaurant is Green Curry with Chicken, medium hot. I place my order and was told it would be ready in about 15 minutes. After a short walk around downtown I returned and my food came out of the kitchen. I was warned it was hot and it was. When I got back And unloaded my car I opened the bag both the entree and rice were still warm. Flavorful curry with large tender pieces of of chicken, eggplant, green peppers, carrots, bamboo shoots and basil leaves. A decent level of heat. The portion was generous enough to have leftovers for lunch. Anna Thai is worth trying. I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

Anna Thai Restaurant - Going in for carry out - Thai Near Me - Decatur, Illinois

I continued to from them during Covid because I wanted them to stay in business! Their service for carry-out as well as dine-in is top tier. My favorite is pad Thai, but appetizers, etc. are all worth ordering. Thanks for bringing such good food to Decatur! read more

As always the staff is wonderful. Their attention to you is refreshing. The music entertains us as you can hear classical versions of 80s music. The food is always wonderful. We were so full, we skipped dessert this trip. read more

At my Alma Mater for the weekend, and I have to give a shout out to Anna Thai! Their Pad Thai never disappoints! As a broke college student, this was a cost-effective option because the portions are so big, they last you a few meals! Their takeout service is very efficient and I have enjoyed the times I have dined at their actual restaurant! Service is always fast and friendly. They do a nice job decorating too! I missed you, Anna Thai! That you for being a source of comfort in good old Decatur! read more

Wonderful service and nice atmosphere. We were just not to crazy about the food. It was ok.

Generous portions, delicious sauces, and cooked to perfection. Best meal I've had in a long while. read more

Great service and great food as always!! Will continue to come back for the best Thai in Decatur

Great food, excellent staff, especially Aggie! She was fun, helpful, patient & super friendly. She even came to our show at the Lincoln Square Theater the following night! read more

Definitely not Authentic Thai food but the best you can find unless you drive to Champaign. The portions leave something to be desired and they add really strange ingredients to things like raw vegetables to pad thai. read more

Love their food, nothing too spicy for me.! Service was great, and I loved the ambience..

Food is great. Love it here. Try the duck as it is tasty and the portion big enough to share. Ask for extra portion of duck as it is better with more meat. I will be back repeatedly. read more

Wonderful dishes, kind staff and great atmosphere. We will be regulars for sure! Don't miss their Crab Rangoon as it is amazing. read more

Anna Thai Restaurant - Prig King with Chicken - Thai Near Me - Decatur, Illinois

Quality Asian food! Great service! Good parking across the street, lovely atmosphere.

This is one of my top 5 restaurants in Decatur or surrounding areas. Their food is outstanding as well as their service. They go above and beyond to take care of their customers. read more

It's mediocre, and overpriced. It doesn't taste Authentic. Very clean establishment however. read more

One of the few restaurant in the downtown that stays open during the weekend. When I reached there , it was almost empty. Easy parking on the street during the weekend due to less traffic. Very simply decorated. The menu is adequate. I was seated with no time. The papaya salad dressing need to be changed. It did not have the traditional taste and the zing. The chicken with string bean was great. It was spicy ( I picked 3 in a scale of 4). Overall, it is a nice Thai place to eat. read more

My wife and I were upset with ourselves that we had never been here before. We had the appetizer sampler which was incredible. The flavors and textures were perfect. Both our meals were freshly prepared and the flavors were perfect. We will up the spice next time and will be back. read more

Loved the food, atmosphere, and service. Food was good and happy to see steamed dumplings on menu. Will return again when in area.

I gave two stars because whoever owns this place is a horrible boss and businessperson. Beginner heat is more like advanced. The poor hostess was also the carry out taker and cashier. Service was slooooooooooowwwwwww and for dine in they give you either paper plates or styrofoam. And they weren't even fancy Chinet the plates; they were more like the kind you get at the dollar store. That just ruins the whole eating out experience. As I headed out I heard on of the servers say to another "after you left I didn't have to cook anything". Cheap ass owners. read more

Anna Thai Restaurant - A10. 4 Piece Dragon Shrimp - Thai Near Me - Decatur, Illinois

Best meal I found in Decatur Illinois other than the Mexican place out in Forsyth. Had the Pad Thai with shrimp. My daughter had her usual, fried rice pineapple. Generous portions. Comfortable setting, some what bland which makes it a top spot in Decatur. Nice people running the place. Give them your business, they take good care of you.. read more

A couple years ago I was unsure that it was good quality pad Thai. All it takes is a little time and maturing of my taste buds to realize that this is the best pad Thai I have yet tried. I would recommend this over Magic Kitchen in Springfield, truly amazing. Also, don't miss the pot stickers with the dark, sweet soy sauce they use. Likewise, the ginger dressing and salad are consistently delicious. read more

Consistent 24/7. Love this place. Great food and service and ambiance. Get crab Rangoon and drown yourself in peanut sauce.

My lunch was $16.12/I gave the hostess $20.12-The change I was given back was $3.88 instead of $4.00. Either she did not have anyone dollar bills OR thought I would not expect change. read more

Been there a couple of times to eat in the dining room. The food was very good. The wife had orange chicken and I had cashew chicken both where very good we also had an appetizer that was a vegetable spring roll type of thing have had the crab Rangoon s and they are very good as well the service is ok but not great read more

4 stars for food, 2.5 stars for service. The waterfall feature when you walk in looks beautiful. Long bar on the first floor then go up a short flight of stairs to the main dining area. When we arrived for dinner, no one was working the bar area. There was one couple sitting there, so we went to the bottom of the stairs to see if anyone would notice us. Again, no one. Finally, someone appeared from the back a few minutes later and sat us. I ordered Pad Thai with pork. When it was brought to the table, it looked like chicken. The waitress noticed something wasn't right as I was poking around the dish and came over. I told her I ordered pork and I didn't eat anything on the plate. She mumbled something about it being the wrong order and she took it in the back. I received the correct order a few minutes later. A few minutes after that, a chicken pad thai was delivered to the table behind us. I'm guessing it was the plate they removed from my table..... good thing I wasn't sick. I think there were two servers working the main dining area when we got there, and as it got busier, more people were emerging from the back. I would give it a second chance and pray their service improves. read more

Garbage thai. The food is poor quality and worse flavor. Nothing is authentic. They don't follow directions and pack filler in when you request things be removed. It's a shame. After several tries, we won't order from there. Objectively terrible food. read more

Anna Thai is one of those rare places on Yelp with great food, nice ambiance and authentic fusion ethnic cuisine. We had a late lunch at Anna Thai after a rough start to our day. The place is very nice and clean. They gave us spring rolls instead of crab Rangoon for check-in offer!! Waiter was very nice an courteous. Food was really nice and portion sizes are very good too. I had a green curry which was nice and hot and papaya salad is excellent. We also end up getting some mango with sticky rice and I would strongly recommend that to every one who is looking for a less sweet than american dessert. Highly recommend for Thai food in Decatur, IL and if you are about 1 hour away then it's worth the drive. read more

6 stars for service if it was available. Granted, I was the only guest but the friendliness they displayed wasn't fake. They treated me like I was an old friend coming in for dinner. Food was good but I can't say it was great. I definitely would come back. read more

I have always loved this place but today made me love it even more. I had door dashed for lunch but somehow my driver got confused & couldn't find the house so she returned the food to Anna Thai. the worker at Anna Thai drove out to my house and brought my food. He even called & told me he had dropped it off and where. You do not get that service anymore & it was very much appreciated. read more
