Excellent, fresh sushi! The spicy tuna roll is very tasty & not too hot. Lunch special comes with miso soup & small salad w ginger dressing. I have also had their beef with broccoli which is quite good. The crab rangoon is okay. Spartan atmosphere & seating can get chilly on the winter. Drinks are refrigerator soda, or hot tea which is free! read more

We came around lunch time to pick up a menu and ordered a few egg rolls to try. It smelled so good in there. If the egg rolls are good, we'll order dinner. The egg rolls were great! So we called in an order a few hours later for a dinner carry-out. Beef with vegetables, pork egg foo young, pot stickers(dumplings), egg rolls, general two's chicken, fried rice. Came with enough white rice. All delicious. Lady who took and packed our order was very polite. We will definitely be back. Thank you! read more

Food portions are amazing. Family that works there is really really nice. The service was very quick and came out hot. The restaurant its self is clean and tidy. read more

I am shocked to see the rating so low for Asia House! This is the quintessential Asian Restaurant, the decor and ambiance might not be the best, but that is because they care about the quality and flavor of the food. I have never been disappointed by anything I've eaten here, and think its the best in Decatur! read more

First time ordering here and was very pleased with our dinner. Chicken and Chinese vegetables were very good and a hearty portion; steamed dumplings were excellent. I was also pleased with the vegetable egg rolls. read more

Good food, it is best to get take out, ambiance a bit run down, though very clean, the service is quite fast

Good food, good quantity, staff courteous and fast. The place is slightly older, but nice. I generally get take out and it is very well packaged. read more

Normally the food is quite good and timely. Tried to order online Christmas night. The app let me get everyone's order and when I tried to pay, it says they are not accepting online orders for 2 days. Went in person and it was clear they were not staffed for a busy night. Left disappointed. read more

Some of the best service and asian cuisine in Decatur. I don't understand all of the negative reviews I have seen but if your in Decatur I would recommend Asia house read more

Their food is amazing, my favorite reastraunt, greast prices one hundred percent recommended

This is my go to spot in Decatur for Chinese food and Sushi. I have never had a bad meal here. They are always fast and courteous.

I ordered crab ragoon and it was cold in the middle and the egg roll was very bland tasting.when I sat down the 2 people across only took a few bites and walked out. No thanks read more

So sad to see that this place had a low rating. The service is always top notch, the food is always delicious, and the prices are excellent when compared to the quality and quantity of food you are served. The staff always remember my wife and I when we come into town to visit family-Asia House is a must stop-and we have never been disappointed. There were some comments about the food being processed...but you can see them using fresh ingredients in their open kitchen! Good people, excellent food, always fast, and a staple for Decatur. Check out their awesome lunch special as well! read more

If you happen to be in Decatur, IL and are craving some non-buffet style Chinese food...this is the best place to go :) Most people come here for take out (I do not believe they deliver), but they do have a few tables if you decide to stay and eat. All the dishes that I have tried are great, my favorites include: Garlic Chicken Hunan Chicken (although BEWARE of the red peppers..duh duh duhhhh) Vegetable Stir-fry Chicken and Broccoli Also, if raw food is your thang, they have the BEST sushi in the area, and it all tastes surprisingly fresh for being in central Illinois. My boyfriend and I typically split two sushi rolls (tuna and salmon) and a dinner (either garlic or hunan chicken) and have always left stuffed and satisfied :) I highly recommend you try it!!!! read more

Asia House, how disappointing you turned out to be, time after time. I gave this place so many chances, and I don't even know why. The sushi was not satisfying, and their version of chicken teriyaki was thinly-sliced/shaved pieces of dry chicken drenched in soy sauce that wasn't even sweet at all. The sweet and sour chicken entree was also pretty pathetic, and very "Americanized". All of the things I tried were always greasy and I won't miss this place one bit. If you're looking for authentic and good-tasting Chinese food in the Soy City, do yourself a favor and head over to the Dragon Buffet restaurant. They've got a sushi bar and a noodle bar, and it's included all in the buffet price. read more

My first time ordering from here was like about 5 years ago. They have not disappointed me yet. My favorite dish is the shrimp and chinese vegetables along with the california roll. Great staff as well. read more

Asia House - a plate of noodles and chopsticks - Chinese Near Me - Decatur, Illinois

This is our go-to place for Asian food. Clean looking kitchen, good friendly service, wonderful food. Our family has eaten there on Christmas Day for several years. Now It's a tradition on other holidays, too. Take out is very hot and packaged well. I don't think they use msg because I have no problems with any of their foods. Hope they stay here many more years. read more

Always great food and great service. I love their lunch specials. Cashew Chicken is wonderful!!

Such a great place! Sushi is very good. I enjoy a lot of different sushi rolls, in larger cities, and this is a great place to get reasonable priced sushi, nicely prepared. I do like the place north towards Forsyth, but cost wise you get a lot for your $ here. It's also a great place for some of your more basic rolls that are good for beginners. Their Lo mein is amazing!! I eat their main dishes occasionally- portions are good sized and always cooked well. I always leave happy. Owners are always there & they know their customers. Enjoy! read more

I asked do you have brown rice and for the ingredients in the veggie dishes. The rudest reply from the cashier I have ever heard. Hope one day she finds love in heart. FYI I didn't order. , read more

Hands down, the best Chinese food in Decatur!!!And Best Orange Chicken I have ever had!! My husband and I have been coming there for many years now, never had a bad experience. The prices are reasonable, the portions are huge and the people who work there are always pleasant. read more

This restaurant has the best sushi in Decatur. Their vegetarian sushi is a good choice for vegetarians. They do use fake crab in some of their sushi, so it pays to ask if you aren't sure. The atmosphere is spartan - it is more of a carryout place, but it is clean, comfortable and friendly. The downside is the air is usually heavy with the smell of grease, since they have a semi-open kitchen. The quality of their tuna and shrimp is terrific. The tuna is pristine and the shrimp are huge and fresh tasting. read more

Not sure why this had negative reviews. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The crab Rangoon was unique and very tasty. I would come here again. read more

I love Asia House and I seriously could not believe it only had 2.5/3 stars on here! It's true it is a typical Chinese restaurant, but it's just so good! They have the best crab rangoon ever! Never found comprable rangoons anywhere... We usually get general tso's chicken (about what you'd expect), garlic shrimp (also amazing), crab rangoon, and kung pao chicken. The portions are massive and the food is always nice and hot. I suppose the interior leaves a bit to be desired, and it does smell like grease and MSG, but I love it! We usually dine in when we come. They are very nice and food is always out fast. We had a group of almost 20 in here last summer when we had family visiting and they were able to accomodate us all. I love Asia House!! read more

So far all of the food I've tried at this place has not been at all authentic. Everything is super processed and the egg drop soup seemed like canned soup read more

Sushi is very good. Love the moo shu Pork, generals chicken, Mongolian beef and house special chow mei fun( lightly spicy)!!!! All our favorites!!! read more

The sushi is good, most of the food also good. I have always found them friendly. Definitely a take out situation

Most expensive Chinese take out in town. Definitely not worth the price. The sushi is average however if you want delicious sushi at nearly the same price Fuji's is just a mile north a doesn't smell like a vat of fryer oil. Won't be eating here again. read more

If you want great sushi at a very reasonable price--Asia House is the best in Decatur. If you are a return patron they remember who you are and give you that individual attention. It is a once-a-week eatery for our family. read more

I love Asia House! My family has been coming here for years and have never been disappointed! Best sushi in town by far and wonderful staff!

first time in the place, sorry it will be my last, Where is the flavor? fried rice actually had veggies in it but was just ok, egg drop soup was thick, hot and bland... egg foo young patties are ok, the brown sauce that goes with it was not what it should be...another bland item......the pork egg rolls looked good., one bite.. it went to the dog. I like flavor in my food. nothing authentic here, over processed foods.... read more

One of my favorite spots in Decatur. Love the food and love the price even more. I would definitley reccomend this place because it is great. The sushi is good too and the people are nice. read more

My go to always for Chinese food and great sushi! Dumplings, mongolian beef and ginger salad so good.

1st review: 3 star very typical chinese takeout. food quality is okay. I mean I wasn't expecting much. Dishes are very salty and MSG-ish...which is typical of chinese food. However, I gave it an A-OK because I much prefer this place than the other Chinese buffets. Price was reasonable and they gave a lot of food so that's always a plus. One dish here could last me at least 2 meals... This place is pretty small so i don't think anyone would dine-in but it's strange that they don't have delivery... that would be awesome.... I probably will come again since I'm at Krogers every other day and this is right next door 2nd review: 1 star: SO I got the sushi combie (which is 15 pieces of sashimi for 16+ dollars) and out of those 15 pieces, 6 were fake imitation crab meat stick... you know the ones where the red color comes off kind of... I feel very cheated... Also I asked to replace the Yellow tail (on the menu for 4.50) with unagi (on the menu for 4.25) and she told me that unagi is very expensive and you will have to pay 2 dollars extra. I pointed out that the yellow tail I didn't want was more expensive but she refused and I'm pretty sure she replaced my yellow tail anyways with those fake crab meat... not a good first time sushi experience at this place as appose to what everyone has been suggesting here. 3rd review: 3 star Honestly... i think i have the biggest love-hate relationship with Asia House... LOL to start off, the price is pretty unbeatable in Decatur. The quality of food is okay. Service could be better. the restaurant REEKS so i would not want to stay in there for anything longer than 3 minutes. must pay cash if under $10. BUTTTT! I think I have found a way out. LUNCH TAKE OUT (11-3pm) this has changed my experience with them greatly. CALL AHEAD so you don't have to wait in the stinky restaurant (and you should never dine in) lunch entress are about $6 for all entress and $10 for 3 rolls of sushie. There many different combinations. read more

I love Asia House. The sushi is great and all the entrees we have ordered have been delish. We've ordered crab Rangoon, general Tso's chicken, beef and broccoli, garlic chicken, and beef lo mien. 2 adults and 4 kids in our house, and we all love it! read more

Great sushi in Decatur, nough said. The rest of the food is standard chinese and not bad, but the sushi is great.
