Anita's Kitchen Platter was only $22!

Holeeee crow! What a find! Turns out our motel, Cascade Lodge, had dinner for us too! As we got out of the car to check in, the smell of this tiny food truck blew us away. What an outstanding dinner we had. Seriously delicious Indian food here, folks! We each had Anita's Kitchen Platter ( only $22) which included choice of appetizer, we picked tandoori chicken leg, two entrees, we picked curry chicken and butter chicken. Also came with rice, Naan bread, and a choice of dessert! Probably the best Indian food I've had in a while. Many people were stopping by for orders to pick up, but what a treat for us to not have to drive anywhere after a long trip to get here. Must try people!

Butter chicken, garlic naan, and rice

Me and my mom stopped here randomly and omg... IT WAS SO GOOD!!! The guy we had make are food was so nice and sweet.

    Tikka Masala... soup??

A Hidden Gem in Bend! If you haven't been to The Crown Curry…read morelately, you might not even recognize the place. The newly renovated interior is stunning--the Southeast Asian-inspired lighting fixtures create a fantastic vibe that feels both upscale and welcoming. The Food: Everything we ordered was spot on. The Goat Curry and Biryani were packed with authentic Indian flavors and cooked to perfection. Definitely don't miss the Samosa Chaat; it's loaded with savory chutneys and yogurt, and the portion is huge--easily enough for a group of 2-4 to share. Drinks & Vibes: We paired our meal with an icy-cold 20 oz Taj Mahal beer and a Lemon Drop that was mixed perfectly. Service & Location: The service here is exceptional. They treated us like family from the moment we walked in, checking on us just the right amount. Plus, it's super convenient with easy parking right out front on SW Century Drive (across from Cascade West). Having lived and traveled throughout Southeast Asia, finding this kind of "Indian jewel" right here in Bend was such a great surprise. Highly recommend!

First visit to The Crown Curry. We arrived late afternoon on a weekday to an empty restaurant,…read morewhich was nice because we could choose our seats and avoid the hated banquets. Menu is by electronic tablet. Navigating the extensive menu is relatively easy. I do wish our server had asked if we were familiar (we weren't) so we could have taken advantage of the selection saving feature. As it was, ordering four entrees involved repeat look-ups because we kept forgetting the numbers of the dishes we wanted. Next time, we'll know to do that. It also would be great if they cleaned the tablet screens a bit more thoroughly. Drinks: they have them and the selection includes a number of interesting specialty cocktails, plus beer and wine. I ordered a rum/pineapple cocktail as well as a dirty martini. The rum one was a bit weak but the martini hit the spot. Food: Four entrees including three vegetarian and one chicken, all ordered medium, which was probably a mistake as medium apparently means mild. Flavors were decent if a bit lacking in body. Service: no issues. Ambiance: also fine but I wasn't as struck by the decor as some other reviewers. Music is too loud. I'd prefer they just turn it off. And as I mentioned, they have banquet seating, something I never want. Who wants to sit facing a wall? All in all, a solid addition to the dining scene.

We arrived at 1:00 and the buffet was in rough shape. About half of the food was out, most looked old, and the quality was far below what I expected. The chicken tikka masala was in a white sauce and didn't look right. The rice was cold and dry. There was no naan available. The whole setup looked like it had been sitting out too long, even though lunch is listed until 2:30. The server brought us a plate of naan when I asked, which was kind, but the buffet never improved. I ate one bite of the tikka masala. My son ate a few bites of chicken and some watermelon. We were there for fifteen minutes. When I asked if anything could be done on the bill since we barely ate, I was told no. I still paid the full $35 and tipped. This was supposed to be a special birthday lunch. Instead, it was a disappointing and expensive mistake. I hope the restaurant takes a serious look at their lunch service, because the quality today was unacceptable. We will not be returning.

Since moving out of Oregon, we haven't been able to make it back as often as we'd like, but I've never forgotten that first visit -- meeting the owner, falling in love with their hot seasoning spice (which they gifted me to take home!), and becoming obsessed with the homemade chili oil. Last night (11/20/25), we finally returned, and I'm happy to say the food is still just as wonderful. The flavors were exactly as we remembered. Our favorites this time were the Shapta and the Chau Chau -- both absolutely delicious. We ordered and shared everything family-style: * Momos - handmade dumplings * Shapta - beef dish * Chau Chau - noodle dish * Masu Bhat - chicken curry Most dishes came with a small side salad and jasmine rice. The ordering process is casual and easy: place your order at the counter, grab a table, and they'll buzz you when the food is ready. The staff then brings everything right to your table. The ambience is warm, inviting, and cozy. Even though it was 32° outside, they still had a wood fire going, which made for such a pretty and welcoming touch. High Camp continues to be a gem in Sisters -- absolutely worth the visit every time.
