I have had a variety of doctors in this practice over the past 20 years. Some have been good, some…read moreaverage and some poor. Due to a positive visit with him, along with recommendations from friends, I tried for some time to get assigned to him. I was not accommodated because he was not taking new patients due to excessive workload. When I learned that my previous doctor, who I liked even though I had him for just a short time, was transferring to a different office, I once again sought him out. I got lucky when I went in for a visit and I spoke with him about the length of time that I have been working on this. He relented and worked out the change for me. I have now seen Dr. Baquero three or four times and I have been impressed with the amount of time he spends with me during each visit. The doctor never seems to be in a hurry to push me out the door. He carefully explains things in a way that I can understand and he offers sage advice. He is also very caring and courteous (he even apologized prior to the least enjoyable part of a male physical exam!).

I love Dr. Baquero! I come from a doctor's family so I usually don't trust doctor's opinions fully,…read moreand I always do my homework too. Since Dr. Baquero has become my family doctor, he earned my trust over the years. He is very calm and very knowledgable, which is the most important qualification for a doctor. He also has nice bed manner but that's just a plus for me. I go to see a doctor because I want to have an accurate and fast diagnosis, and Dr. Baquero can deliver this. I gave 4 stars because their office staff is not that efficient. If I need a referral, it takes a long time. But still I go there because of Dr. Baquero and I can bear with other imperfections.

I was forced to fire Dr. Firoz at Folsom Lake Primary Care. Why?…read more Here are the issues with his office: 1) Poorly run front office with assistants who are barely capable and not service-oriented. 2) There is a constant push for botox injections as a revenue stream. You get hit with ads of women injecting botox in their faces in the waiting room as well as in each treatment room. Makes you feel like when you enter Costco with carnival-barking vendors asking you if you want to buy but I digress. Extremely unethical in treatment rooms as well as in waiting room. Sends wrong message regarding beauty to young women. 3) Super high charges for the most basic of services. Dr. Firoz capatilzes on this by demanding you come in for visit to answer any questions. 4) Dr. Firoz pretends to be engaged with patients but he is dimissive of my concerns. In one case he refused to examine my knee pain dimissing it immediatley and woukd not even feel the lump on my leg. 5) This practice is NOT officially under Sutter Heathcare. This office operates as an independent practice. I found this out when i requested my medical records when they were going to charge me for my own medical records. Summary: If you prefer high charges on you family doctor practice who cheaps out on qualified office staff and Dr. Firoz's grifting of patients on a daily basis plus obviously hustling his patients into the unethical application of botox for beauty, then Firoz is your Pakinstani physician plus his female Pakistani NP who is clearly the mastermind behind the entire botox push. I wonder if they are dating? Does this give you an accure vibe about the office?

Avoid UC Davis Health if You're a Patient - Unreliable and Frustrating…read more Steer clear of UC Davis if you value your health and time. The service is terrible, and there's no real intention of helping patients get the care they need. I've been on blood pressure medication for over 10 years, and ever since joining UC Davis, it's been a nightmare. Appointments are nearly impossible to get. You wait six months just to be told it's an "intake appointment," not a full check-up or physical. Then you need to schedule another appointment for your annual physical--good luck with that. To make matters worse, doctors keep quitting. When that happens, they don't automatically reassign you. Instead, you're on your own to find a new doctor and start the process all over again. Meanwhile, you're left begging for refills on essential, everyday medications just to get by. This is not healthcare--it's chaos. I would strongly advise anyone considering UC Davis Health to look elsewhere. Your well-being is too important to deal with this level of dysfunction.

No call back after 4 days. I go to the office to pick up my X-ray disc because I found an ortho on my own after no call back. No one could find them. After 15 minutes, someone finally found them tucked away in a drawer at reception (!) with a sticky note that said, "Priority." I leave a formal complaint with ombudsman with all of the details. Zero response back. 2. I recently called to get a routine mammogram appt. I was on hold for 40 minutes before someone answered. "Oh, you should have pressed 2, you pressed 1," on hold again for another 15 minutes. What is going on? Awful. And I'm serious about Kaiser.
