In the beginning I thought she was a great Dr, too. Then I developed a rash of unknown origin which…read moreshe attempted to treat. On a repeat visit, she slapped her knee with pride and said she thought she had found the diagnosis. It was awful. Disfiguring, treatable but not curable. I was stunned. At home I found a website with a presentation on the disease complete with photos. I tried to tell her I didn't look like those photos. She had prescribed a medication, after that totally ghosted me. I messaged her through the portal to change the medication from cream to ointment but got no response. Eventually I showed up at her office and was told she wasn't in and they didn't know when she would be back. I asked if another doctor there would make the minor change to the prescription and was declined. I was completely on my own. Since the diagnosis she handed me was gynecological, I procured my own referral to a gynecologist who thankfully tested and ruled out Dr Duncan's diagnosis. I'm still in disbelief that she saddled me with such an awful diagnosis then turned her back on me. I took it as cowardice. She came up with something she couldn't handle and instead of suggesting a specialist, she dropped me without explanation. I felt betrayed.

She is so personable, knowledgeable and all but saved my life/mobility by diagnosing me with Osteomyelitis in my lumbar spine and sending me to the hospital right in the nick of time! I always love getting to visit with her during our appointments. You will not go wrong choosing her as your doctor!

Absolutely abysmal. So much for "love thy neighbor" or whatever. Everything has been an upward…read morebattle with Mercy. I have been treated worse than dirt for no real or apparent reason. From physical health and mental health follow-up to follow-up, I just keep getting things dropped on me that I wasn't previously aware of. One doctor canceled our physical health exams that we had scheduled SIX MONTHS in advance and now pawns all of his work onto his "close assistant nurse." I don't even know if he works there anymore. Have we been informed of anything or given a new primary doctor? No. It's just the nurse running the whole show. Not that nurses aren't valid practitioners, but the schooling is different. And now different antidepressants are just being thrown at me without the guidance of a doctor or psychiatrist until we find something that works. Referrals and other care- I was referred to a nutritionist who treated me extremely passive aggressively and then said she would send me up to her manage for more adequate treatment. This was a lie. I never heard from any such manager. I was also apparently referred to psychiatry. I didn't know about this referral until the next follow up when the nurse-doctor suddenly asked me about if I had heard anything. I haven't. I was told to talk to Behavioral Health about it. I did. They said they don't do that. Point blank period. They can't do anything until they get the referral which has been floating in the void since AUGUST apparently. The schedulers in the behavioral health department are just downright rude and dismissive. It's like talking to a brick wall. My therapist said she wanted to meet every friday over zoom. Scheduler said "No. She doesn't do zoom appointments on Friday." I say that I had one last week. And my intake was over zoom on a FRIDAY. "She makes exceptions sometimes." Are we lying now? Were my friday zoom appointments not real? Did i become an "exception" TWICE?? Then the scheduler proceeded to very rudely try to schedule me for a Tuesday when i requested Thursday because I work Tuesdays. I had to specifically ask for the next Thursday even though me preferring Thursday since Friday is apparently unavailable was already established. Oh yeah, and apparently I gotta go get blood work done. Like I was supposed to several weeks ago but I WAS NEVER INFORMED. And that was treated like it was my fault for not getting it done. When i was trying to get a sleep study referred, the nurse-doctor was fairly combative when asking me if I snored or had sleep apnea. She then said that unless I do, she can't get me a sleep study. Didn't say anything about trying to refer me. But then I got a letter in the mail that a study was approved. We really are just lying for the love of the game here huh.

Since Dignity Health bought Mercy Medical Group patient care requirements have decreased due to…read moretheir inability to develop a process for patient replacement when their Primary Care Physician leaves the group. I was shocked to experience such poor planning when we are talking about "my future healthcare" requirements. Further, I was told to get my own new PCP and sent me an insensitive letter "telling me" to find one with the short list that wouldn't accept My excellent health insurance. Since then, it's gotten worse. Several of my family and friends also had the same PCP, we are all in our 70's, we pay for our healthcare and Dignity has no dignity. I have been with MMG over 25 years but the new "robots" they call doctors now do Not represent human kindness. Specifically, I gave Dignity the word "human kindness" during a volunteer focus group at the 3000 Q Street facility when they first usurped the local medical community. My exact words were, when asked the question what do you really want.....My response was, I don't want sympathy, I don't even want empathy, I JUST WANT HUMAN KINDNESS. Within 60 days of that meeting, my words, were plastered all over Sacramento on buses, elevators, on TV, employee garments, etc. Did they ask me if it was okay to quote MY words? I said yes as I was walking out of the room and was never acknowledged for my contribution. How very rude when they are not practicing what I preach! How unspeakable it is for our doctors who must "diagnose and treat" each patient in 15 minutes, they get 30 minutes for an annual. 25 plus years as a Patient,98.9% of my Mercy Doctors were wonderful, loving, caring human beings who showed their human kindness in ways that seem to have disappeared in the midst of video appointments and lack of time. No more personal touches. I can't even call their administration office because they are cold and so above the money they make off the elderly patients like me. It seems their poor business practices have taken them by surprise, cowards. Oh they do have a a "Patient Advocate", but she who is supposed to represent thousands, should get back to you in 48 hours! However, if you think you are in dire straits go to the ER, where they do nothing while you wait for hours to be told so? What is wrong with this picture? Next, This is the travesty! 6 days ago when Dr. Cold was notified that a 15 plus years of taking this medication had been overlooked. In 2 days I entered my own prescribed medication withdrawals with every side effect I found on Wikipedia. No one called me to explain that I could die but they are, were, what??? Another interesting fact, Sutter is having the same problem. We will change providers in October. UCDavis is looking good

Due to a positive visit with him, along with recommendations from friends, I tried for some time to get assigned to him. I was not accommodated because he was not taking new patients due to excessive workload. When I learned that my previous doctor, who I liked even though I had him for just a short time, was transferring to a different office, I once again sought him out. I got lucky when I went in for a visit and I spoke with him about the length of time that I have been working on this. He relented and worked out the change for me. I have now seen Dr. Baquero three or four times and I have been impressed with the amount of time he spends with me during each visit. The doctor never seems to be in a hurry to push me out the door. He carefully explains things in a way that I can understand and he offers sage advice. He is also very caring and courteous (he even apologized prior to the least enjoyable part of a male physical exam!).

Since Dr. Baquero has become my family doctor, he earned my trust over the years. He is very calm and very knowledgable, which is the most important qualification for a doctor. He also has nice bed manner but that's just a plus for me. I go to see a doctor because I want to have an accurate and fast diagnosis, and Dr. Baquero can deliver this. I gave 4 stars because their office staff is not that efficient. If I need a referral, it takes a long time. But still I go there because of Dr. Baquero and I can bear with other imperfections.

Called three times prior to my appt to ensure they had the proper equipment. Nobody called me back as promised. 2. Arrived to an empty front desk, filled out my paperwork and waited. Once the front desk staff arrived she did not call on me but checked in the first person to walk in after me never acknowledging my existence. I had to stand up and make my presence known. 3. Once taken back in I sat there for 40 mins, a nurse came in looking for supplies and asked if my 11 yr old daughter wanted some water, she said yes and the nurse disappeared and never returned. 4. 15 mins later a Physicians assistant arrived and the equipment I called about 3 times before was present but not ready. We spent the next 20 mins watching them prepare the equipment so it could be used. 5. The PA performed the procedure but said my daughter needed to receive a dressing for the procedure and we needed to sign a waiver. After 15 mins of waiting alone in the room again I decided that they had ZERO respect for our time, left the room and went up front to pay my copay and have them find the waiver. My daughter never received the dressing for her procedure so we did it ourselves at home. Sutter is the absolute worst and they cost the most! Blech! No wonder they are always getting sued.

Best doctor ever ever. Ever. Dr. Grove was the first doctor to actually listen to what I was…read moreexperiencing, and to also take into account the way that I prefer to look after my health. For example, I've struggled with generalized anxiety disorder and depression for years. My last doc wanted to give me whatever drug they were pushing, ignored the debilitating side effects that I reported, insisting that I continue taking this drug for several more weeks before they would consider changing it. In fact, when I persisted in requesting something else, or something I could take just as needed, my former doc *yelled* at me in the exam room. The side effects of that medication were intolerable, so I stopped taking it and just struggled along for several more years. Finally our insurance changed, and the hubs found Dr. Grove... At my first visit I literally cried in her office, just because she heard me, heard what I was saying (Dr's often hear what they think, not what is actually being said), understood my aversion to medications, and didn't judge me for not wanting to take a daily pill. She actually worked with me as an individual to create a plan that took my quirks into account. I never feel rushed in our appointments either, which is another common Dr. gripe that I have- they want to get you in the exam room, take the vitals, write a Rx and/or schedule tests and get you out asap. Not so with Dr. Grove, she listens, asks questions, and learns about her patients to give the best care. I'll only go to Dr. Grove for the rest of my life, if at all possible. Highly recommend!!
