My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Biyo for more than six years until our insurance changed. All those years, I was able to schedule same-day urgent appointments with the doctor if my daughter was sick. I highly value and appreciate this. I also trust the doctor 100%. She has always been very helpful, explaining everything to me, and her diagnoses have always been correct. I even drove kind of far to this doctor, about 45 minutes, because I trusted her. She is a professional and genuinely caring person and doctor, which is uncommon among doctors, to be honest. read more

I left the office in tears after how Dr.Biyo treated me and my child. I could not stop crying. Dr.Biyo has a very cold, narcissistic and untrusting nature. Maybe it is because of our race or our medi-cal status that she treated us so terribly. It is like Dr. Biyo purposely wants misunderstand you and find a reason to get nasty with you. During the appointment, I was trying to explain a serious concern to her about my childs needs, when she said it's not important and to move past it. I told her there are times when my child is not breathing properly so I think it is very important when she suddenly yells "THEN GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR". I have been nothing but polite to her so it was very sudden. My child gets scared so we just immediately leave. I am thinking of suing her because refusing help is negligence but then to tell your patient to go to another office just because THEY WANTED HELP is wrong. read more

Omg this place was a nightmare, first of all I never leave reviews but this place deserves one. I was a little worried about taking my son for a circumcision but once I walked into her office I was instantly overwhelmed and super nervous more than I was already. Her office is super old and needs a renovation!!! Pictures are all cricket and has every warning sign you can think of which is concerning. Her hair is all over the place and she had on these little shoes and when she was explaining the procedure she had her feet all of the shoes!!! Once she checked our son she touched him with the hand that didn't have a glove on. Her bed is all old and ripped up. Not reassuring at all. Point is I walked out with my son and didn't proceed with the circumcision. read more

How is this office is still operating ?? This is the worst place I have been to. The bottomline is this: Dr Biyo and her staff do not care whatsoever about their patients or parents concern. They have hate for their patients. They will get aggressive and rude if you bring up any concern to them. They will perform procedures without your consent. They especially take advantage of low income patients. Just disgusting place with nasty people. Read the other reviews, and you will understand how bad this place is. This place should have been shut down ages ago. read more

Dr Biyo is very informative and knowledgeable.. the very first appointment I took my newborn she was talking non stop on expectations, how to wash baby, what soaps to stay away from skin sensitivities, spit up normal verses not the list goes on.... I stayed with her for several reasons but mostly because she is on call and when you have a sick child and are scrambling for medical advice you need to be able to talk to a calm experienced MD not just during office hours...she is also very practical. She doesn't push conventional methods down a parents throat. She also keeps the well baby visits on one side in certain rooms and sick visits in another which is a good policy. Last January I called Dr. Biyo because my baby was having a fever that lasted for 3 days with high of 104, she then proceeded to have a rash the last day which lasted for a few days.. she was under one year at the time. Dr Biyo knew what she had diagnoses correctly before all the symptoms happened and was able to calm me and give me orders over the phone the first night the fevers started on how much and how often to give Tylenol and motrin, she also gave me advice on using non-conventional cooling measure cool humidifier, cold compresses and what to watch for as far as eating habits etc. all this seems like common sense but when you have a baby under one, that's sick just having a calm voice makes a big difference that you are doing everything you can to comfort your child. Her office had an issue verifying with my insurance which was cleared up later but I did appreciate them not cancelling my appt as other doctors office have done in the past. They let me keep my appt and I was able to straighten it out before I arrived to their office. During and shortly After the Camp fires my child started to develop an acute respiratory problem. Dr. Biyo talked to me on the phone several times during that time and finally I went in and she did a full assessment checking her lungs thoroughly at which point she did give her a one time dose of albuterol inh in the office. My baby was breathing a lot better after and wheezing less. She seemed better and made a full recovery just a day after.. she held back on Antibiotics which I did appreciate and she was so knowledgeable on medication side effects and risk verses benefits. She was also pro probiotics and gave me a prescription for EVIVO! My personal opinion is that my doctors should support health and wellness through education teaching, promote preventative care and be there during sleepless sick nights without judgement which is exactly what I've received from Dr Biyo thus far. read more

Do not take your child here!!! This woman botched my son's circumcision. Had it done when he was 1 week old to get his circumcision. They had me hold down my son while they did it. The procedure took 2 hours. He bled so much that they had to stitch him up. She then told me that we had to come back in a week so that she could cut one suture so it would leave a bump. We took him to the ER right after because it looked like a hack job.The pediatric urologist said he's never seen anything like that. Took him back a week later so she could take out the stitch. She denied ever saying that and said it was fine. 2 years later my son still has a bump on his penis and needs to have the circumcision redone. Do not take your child here. This office is unprofessional and shouldn't even be a doctor's office. Both rooms we were in had no handwashing sinks! Just hope she washes her hands in between patients. read more

I still love this office! Recently our I sursnce changed I was relieved when I found out that we can still keep Dr. Biyu!

Had Dr. Biyo in the hospital at Mercy San Juan and immediately was extremely rude. She then forced me against my wishes to do testing by making me feel bad in the decisions I was making for my baby. She was completely unprofessional and extremely aggressive. I was caught off guard because I had just had my baby and she immediately busted thru my door not allowing me to get my rest after I asked if she could come back in an hr as I was exhausted. She is exactly the type of pediatrician moms must steer clear from. She then threatened to call social services on me because I refused her suggestions. Please for yourself and your baby, DO NOT GO TO DR. BIYO. STAY AWAY!!! read more

Worst doctor I ever seen when we lived in CA. Really, the worst. Extremely rude, rushes you, said your time is up. Checked baby's mouth without properly washing hands, just water and no gloves. You are just another patient in her office. There is no real vocation to help patients. read more

Greg Flahive writes: Horrible experience. Brought my daughter in for a simple vaccine and she them wisked my daughter off to do a full exam without my permission!! I then had to walk through the office to find my daughter to stop the exam. Borderline malpractice!!! Just another way to over charge the insurance companies!!! Take your child to another doctor....Greg Flahive recommends NEVER go here read more

Unprofessional doctor, dismissive/unknowledgeable staff. We went to see Dr. Biyo specifically for our 2month's circumcision; the experience was lengthy and traumatic. I called beforehand and was told the whole procedure and follow up would be $275 cash because insurance does not cover circumcision. I called our insurance to find out that they DO cover circumcision and got instructions on how to file a claim, etc. We paid the $285 upfront when we arrived at our appointment. The actual surgery was done on our first visit, which was great; however, Dr. Biyo had her hair in her face, was chewing gum, and was wearing LATEX gloves. She had a very difficult time performing anesthesia injections and my son was screaming through the entire appointment because she insisted he be strapped to a board that was clearly too small for him. The medical assistant seemed to not be familiar with the procedure, so Dr was giving her lots of instruction. Dr also talked to us parents to explain what she was doing in a calm voice frequently and had me try to give the baby sugar water to calm him down - it didn't work. There was a LOT of bleeding - which she had warned us about beforehand due to his age and blood vessel development, so she did multiple stitches to close the cut and try to stop the bleeding. I disclose this info because the stitches were sloppy and despite our meticulous care caused scarring. Additionally, there is still foreskin around the bottom that should have been removed - let's hope we don't need to revise the procedure in the future. This was a very lengthy appointment for a procedure that typically takes 10-20 mins; we were there for almost 2 hours. After that appointment there were 2 follow up appointments for removing stitches, both as unprofessional as the first; Dr. Biyo is very nice, but latex gloves and gum were involved. Then we got a bill in the mail. Getting a hold of the medical biller was time consuming and difficult. Then she was difficult to understand and rude. They billed the insurance, for a higher amount and accepted payment for the office visits from our insurance. Basically, they double billed and did not refund any of our original payment. I highly recommend avoiding this pediatric office, even though "late" circumcision providers are few and far between. read more

We absolutely LOVE Dr. Biyo. We have been seeing her since the day my son was born and she has always given the most unbiased advice. She considers more than just convenience like most other doctors do. She takes into account what your beliefs are, but also makes sure you are making informed decisions for your child's health. My health insurance bumped us for 6 months and the other doctors we tried were sadly horrific experiences. We went back to Dr. Biyo and just paid out of pocket. She was so fair with her out of pocket pricing that we were able to afford it. We now live 45 minutes away but there is no other doctor I would want my children seeing. read more

Great experience! Saw a PA today and she was amazing. Same day appt and was in and out within 25 minutes!

I have no idea what any bad ratings are for! We have been going to Dr Biyo since 2010 and have she has always went above and Beyond for my family on numerous occasions. The staff has never "wisked my children away" and never takes them anywhere without me. (In response to another review left) she has never started anything procedure or exam without my knowledge.(I don't even see how that's possible) I have never waited more than 10 mins in the waiting room and they have always listened To my concerns and respected my opinions. Their first question is always"why are you here my dear?" I have seen both the dr and the PA and they are equally awesome. I have never been mistreated or seen a dirty room/floor/wall. I love this practice! read more

We went through two other pediatricians before seeing Dr Biyo. We were sceptical at first because of other reviews, but we took our chances. And I'm glad we did. The staff is friendly and wonderful. They answer all my questions without being short. Dr Biyo is great with both my kids. My son is autistic and she really takes the time to make sure he's comfortable. He's very sensitive and the whole office goes above and beyond for him. Dr Biyo is straight to the point and totally respects my wishes. I'm glad we decided to go here. read more

Medical assigned me to this doctor. I took my two month old daughter in because she had red spots and dry patches all over her body (eczema) which I knew but I just wanted advice as to what to put on it. After and hour wait we were put into an exam room and had to wait another 15 minutes. I don't remember her name but it wasn't Dr. Biyo, finally came in to examine my daughter. She did a full physical exam and was asking me about her vaccines which she had just gotten a week prior at her old doctor. I told her she already had her two month shots. A couple minutes later apparently she didn't understand and was going to give her vaccines again! What the hell?! After that she seemed like she was finished. I said are you going to check what I came in here for? And she said "oh why are you here for?" At the point I packed up my stuff and walked out. Ridiculous. Stay away!! read more

Really surprised at the negative reviews, as we've received better care here than with any other Folsom pediatricians. Dr. B is caring and knowledgeable without being pedantic. She's easily accessible after hours. The office is spotless and we have literally never had a weight time. Prior Folsom peds treated us poorly after learning we had Medi-Cal, and without exception they ran consistently, unapologetically late. After making the rounds for five years, we finally found a home, and I would recommend Dr. B to anyone. read more

Dr. Biyo is very patient and very caring. We can get to see her within one day when we call her up. Last time my husband just brought our child in without appointment, and was seen by her right away. She always answers her phones. We are happy with the care this doctor provides. read more
