CAUTION ! BIG BEWARE ! UNPROFESSIONAL, POSSIBLY ILLEGAL TREATMENT FACILITY. The staff and doctors at Integrated Care including Debra Murray N.P., Fatima M.A. and the rest of the staff will make 100% promises assuring you that the cost of the Spravato treatments are 100% covered, not to worry about the monthly unpaid invoices. She , (Debra. P.A.) on multiple occasions, tried explaining to us, that she would 'manipulate the "coding" so that the charges they were submitting to BLUE CROSS insurance would reflect some made up reason for a non-existent diagnosis that would get them to cover these treatments, 100%!. We didn't quite understand what Debra was telling us at the time. It never felt quite right with us. It almost felt fraudulent, it felt suspect and even shady and is the primary reason that both my partner and I left INTEGRATED CARE and went elsewhere for continued treatments. They, usually "Debra", on multiple occasions, told us, there's just some sort of "lag time"in payments from BlueCross-CA. Eventually, when the unpaid balance was becoming so large and 100%, unpaid. We both felt very uncomfortable about it and discontinued with treatments at IntegratedCare, regardless of the multiple conversations with them assuring us "not to worry" is just some kind of office error. They assured us both, that "eventually, the entire bill would be covered and to "just toss the invoices into the trash". They even kept incurrageing my partner to keep coming for the weekly treatments. All the while, his balance kept growing bigger and bigger. Apparently, the information and instructions that they were telling us? They were either inaccurate or possibly just a plain lies. They made mentions on telling, possibly fabricated information to the BlueCross, so why would I trust them to be honest with us? Over the past year, we are still today getting monthly statements today more than a year later. The stressful PAST DUE OR GOING INTO COLLECTIONS letters start coming in with a past due balance of $7,292.78 ! After numerous attempts to resolve and numerous promises that there no need to worry. Why couldn't they just be honest with us in the beginning or at anytime? Why would they encourage us to continue with weekly Spravato treatments for nearly 8 mos. Why wouldn't they inform us that the insurance was not paying their "bogusly coded charges"? while no payments were being approved by insurance? They never bothered to mention anything about it to us. What kind of business does that anyway? WHERE ELSE WOULD A PRIVATELY OWNED CLINIC CONTINUE PROVIDING "UNPAID" SERVICES FOR 7 MOS? ZERO payments received !! It ridiculous to imagine any medical, "niche" clinic to allow this kind of practice..The charges were more than my partners total income at that time !Over one year later, the obnoxious and bogus past due notices keep on coming on the first week of every month, showing still, no payments made. I now believe that they were repeatedly lying to us, telling us that ALL SERVICES WOULD BE PAID IN FULL. We eventually found another location in which all the needed treatments and services would be covered 100%.. BUYER BEWARE. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU, JUST TO KEEP YOU COMING for treatments while knowing that the treatments aren't being covered by insurance. I believe they just want to keep the number of patients as elevated as possible. That bottom line $$$ is #1 for them. This went on for around 8 mos.! We can no way afford $7,410 or around $10,000.00/ yr. for Spravato treatments for anxiety, depression & PTSD. Nor did we ever "verbally agree" to pay out of pocket for the services. THIS has become a big source of anxiety and depression in itself, over a year later. Thanks alot I.Care. We all know. We will never actually be made to pay this "BOGUS MEDICAL INVOICE". I am no expert, but am starting to believe that they will gladly take it and use it for a income TAX WRITE OFF write off, against the insanely hugely profitable, lucrative margins they work with there. I believe it's several hundred percent mark-up for a relatively cheap pharmaceutical given and supervised by a couple underpaid LVN'S and M.A's. I believe this was possibly there intention all along. I feel this practice is just plain dishonest, wrong and possibly even illegal. We have been very patient, waiting for some kind of resolve on this invoice. We should not be receiving any statement with any unpaid balances today., .Its now been just over a year. Still getting those statements. We are just fed up with this place. The dishonest and manipulative tactics used by the staff at Integrated Care is pretty sub par, even for the far less than desirable medical services community we are all living with today. I hope this review might prevent someone else from being mislead or maybe even lied to as we were by this very possibly, unethical Spravato clinic. I received an email that said they thought my review was funny, this was not my intent, it was an alert that should have been posted more generally rather than being pointed at Dr. Tepper. Medical Services for everyone are at a tipping point due to Covid burnout that has affected too many in the medical field. I keep waiting for the adult to enter the room. If I could retract my last review I would after learning something last night and after regaining my eyesight enough to write this I will never see clearly again. Fault and blame should be used very carefully. People have become so bitter over the past few years as their friends and loved ones have died without natural closure along with the Medical Community being pushed way beyond safe limits. Leaving very little medical care for those who need it now. Government interference is not helping and Insurance along with gov. support has become so overworked that all who will pick up the phone seem to be scripted, untrained, and extremely unprofessional. I never meant Dr. Tepper and or the services he provided were in any a joke. He is as human as the rest of us and unfortunately if you do not have someone close by to follow up aggressively when you fall through the cracks in the middle of a crisis, starting over with new medical providers at this moment is a nightmare. If you feel that some service provider - new/old is just being difficult, step back and look at the big picture. Sometimes we don't understand how much we have been sheltered until Winter comes. Spring will be a long time coming to reset all that has been wronged. 4 years under Dr. Tepper's care has given me a life I will never see again and if I can find another practice like his again my experience under his care will ensure I see another 10 years. Medical care is nothing to laugh about and my case is complicated if certain ground rules are not followed as I am allergic to Vaccines which put the Doctor in a difficult position when the Pharmacy gave me the wrong shot and I caught Covid from the Pharmacist lying in my ear, "It is not the kind of Vaccine written on the card, you got what you asked for" as he pinched his mask and spoke quietly in my ear infecting me with the virus. This was a major chain. In 3 days I was blind in my only good eye what like looking through a glass of milk. Most of the Gen Pub has lost its compassion for the blind and the legally blind are misunderstood and greatly under-serviced, especially on the phone when information needs to be noted. Covid has caused many to go either completely blind or can accelerate Cataracts. If treated quickly, though painful and has taken me a year and a half I feel I have reached 90 percent of the vision I had. Remember they are only human and life is fragile. If you're not wearing a mask, keep at arm's length from people if at all possible when mixing with strangers. read more

I love Dr. Tepper! We found him about 6 or 7 years ago when we were looking for a new primary doctor. We were looking at pictures of available doctors in our network and I only had 2 caveats: can't look creepy (if you're gonna see me naked, I need to feel comfortable!) and speaks English as a first language. He looked like a nice guy so I made an appointment. The medical building has a good-sized parking lot and his office is small, clean and comfy. All the staff were (and have been) courteous and the PA's are great. Dr. Tepper is a nice, funny guy with a great smile and a dry sense of humor (which matches us great). He's honest and to-the-point, he'll answer any question you have thoroughly... he's not one of those docs who gives you 5 minutes then shoves you out. As he gives patients all the time they need, sometimes the wait can be a bit long- but it is worth the wait to get the care you need (I recommend morning appointments if you can get them). read more

I paid up to 2000.00 a year for his service. Once the initial contract with Family Medicine had concluded this nightmare began, Dr.T was no longer answering to anyone and the service took a dramatic downturn. My yearly fee went up and after being thrown under the bus and shunned unable to work around his endless endless vacations and short office hours started to discover how disconnected he was. I could see my demise coming before going blind unessarally as when I asked a direct question as to how did I fall through the cracks with something so important that led to a Cornea transplant due to lack of follow-up as my eye was left to fester for over a month and no treatment for Covid as he would change the subject and was never the same again. Too eager to put me in public indifferent to GBS or tried to put me under the knife when inexpensive meds solved the problem, alternatives for GBS patients to experience quality as a shut-in is possible but it is so important to avoid surgery and Joe Public as both can cause savvier relapse. I do not believe Dr.T ever looked up GBS on any credible site or some of his comments would not have been so inaccurate as he believed it like a common cold or something everyone gets over and did not care for me reminding him why I was in his practice as it seemed like he forgot the premise in which I joined and agreed to the extra fee. Quality of life increases mortality not the other way around, One size fits all is the direction of this practice as I see it and when I needed him the most I was shunned. Those in motion stay in motion. I asked for a script allowing me to install a home gym attached to the wall and was sent to an open-air GYM for physical therapy at the height of Covid to which I declined after seeing the danger of no one wearing masks and Dr.T stated he knew nothing about the layout. I have gained 50 pounds. I made the mistake of confiding in the Dr. over the 3 years as he loved to talk about his family. He started taking so many vacations it became hard to get an appointment for more than 20 minutes when my contract-verbal and written stated 40 minutes a month of face time was a given along with-in house blood draw along follow-up and coordination of care is the core of a FAMILY MEDICINE PRACTICE umbrella as seen on U-Tube, He would boast about not owning a TV and after struggling with GBS since 2005 confined to a wheelchair for over 5 years, being treated with controlled meds that allowed me to walk short distances, and under his care almost regained a full life as a shut-in and then to robocalls and pressure of getting unapproved Covid vaccine during every visit became too much. If I had. declined I could lose my medication yet when contracting Covid from the Pharmacist who gave me the second shot that I never wanted turned out to be a carrier and due to being immune suppressed. He witnessed my only good eye turn ted yet ignored it and told me I had skin cancer but never found the time to address it. I came back days later blind and was made to wait over a month for treatment and he said he never spoke to any of the referrals he had made. The Cotton eye is also known as Covid Eye. Instead of checking me into a hospital, he tried to label me a drug addict as my fatigue increased he tried to cut back meds and left gaps in treatment as instead of talking to staff he would balance a laptop on his knee and kept missing the target with no idea what he was ordering when these meds that kept me alert were constantly interrupted and had conversations with my spouse that led to me feeling he was trying to do me harm. He kept telling a blind man, "You're not reading your email".when I could not dial a phone without 411. My physical pain can be driven by anxiety and where I lived was a passthrough for the homeless coming to and from Folsom Blvd. and the river park where it is so common to have your iPhone cloned that the Police will not help you if they break in or sell your IP address and hack your Wi-fi to the point you can not charge, take photos, record and then flip the options on again. I could not see or breathe properly and was kept up for almost a week running out of medications and unable to eat anything and made the mistake of calling Dr. T. In our new home, I now struggle to climb the stairs of our dream home far from the problems of SAC yet have been REDLINED and can not find treatment for GBS with Dr. T refusing to help at all when I ran out of medication on schedule I am accused of seeing too many Dr's when all state their business model does not allow the meds he gave me and I have yet to be offered treatment for lung scarring due to Covid or the Skin Cancer. This is a Concierge Medicine re-run, Once I achieve balance Good doctors leave the country due to Gov restrictions and the rest may be standing in front of you but are not in the moment. This is an old review I started about two years ago. My feelings on the way I was treated haven't improved much in these two years even with the benefit of hindsight. First, I was a patient of Dr. Tepper's for nearly 10 years - he is nice. Most of the visits, though, I was seen by the PA's - there was Susie Chase then Christine Sherwood, also both nice. The level of care was always fine, even good, my needs are simple check-ups or a bad cold or flu. That isnt really the reason for the poor review. I was in a car accident that totaled my vehicle. I wasnt battered enough for the ER but I felt very achy and worried afterwards. I was able to schedule a short-notice appointment, a day or so later, they squeezed me in at noon, all very nice and appreciated. Unfortuantely, I found myself pinned in a work meeting. I phoned when I was en route to say I'd be there but I might be might be 10-15 minutes late. They told me they were going to cancel the appointment, they wouldn't see me. I showed up anyway, frustrated, I was already on en route. I can't count how many times I have waited in the waiting and exam rooms to be seen. I have never complained but I was very rudely shut-down by the receptionist - tough, appoinment canceled. It was really upsetting. There was no empathy or compassion, just pound sand, see you later. Admittedly I was very emotional which could have been from the car accident, I left and cried in the car. Even so, two years later, plenty of time to reflect, and it still bothers me. This review is actually for Christine Sherwwod. She is usually the one I see when going in to the doc's office. I don't think I have ever actually met Dr. Tepper. (Of course, I have met Dr. Pepper a bunch of times, but diff doc, lol). Christine has always been very attentive, great memory and really listens to what may be the problem. She helped me get temporary disability earlier this year when I was having a rough time. She is always very pleasant and a joy to have as a doctor (nurse practitioner). The ladies that book the appointments are always a cheerful group on the phone, rounding up the whole experience to be a positive one. I have been coming to this office for about 2 years now. The only problem I have- they referred me to Camilla Women's Health when I was in need a doctor for women's health issues. That whole ordeal left a bad taste in my mouth, but that's not Tepper/Sherwood's fault. Now I know to just call me insurance provider for such issues in the future :) read more

Dr. Tepper is a great Doctor, comfortable to be around, and knows his stuff, clean office, good location, pretty easy parking, reasonably priced without having insurance (A great option for a lot of folks). The only reason I gave less stars than 5 is the receptionist has been rude to me twice now, and try's to give advice she is not trained to give, she is not a Doctor. Maybe it's just me, but I feel I am courteous and respectful to others. When someone is running the front end of a business, better be sure they are not argumentative and rude. :) read more

I live in the Oregon outback and it is a 250 mile round-trip to Walmart etc. I have had an outstanding relationship with Dr. Tepper and his staff. Is it enough to state that I make the 900 mile-round trip four times each year? He is most professional, courteous, and very knowledgable. I've never had a physician. I couldn't tell you the last time I went to a doctor, but as of late I've had some concerning issues, and I figured it'd be best to go in. So I did. The staff was very nice and I never felt rushed or ignored. The rooms and office in general is very clean and well-kept. When Doctor Tepper came in, he took a great deal of time to talk with me and run a few tests. Even a few days later when I had some more questions and asked to come back in just to double-check some things (to alleviate my own paranoia), the office was more than accommodating and squeezed me in. That meant a lot. For what it's worth, don't ever consult the internet on any problems you have, or you'll be out buying a casket and a gravestone for lack of solid info on what's truly wrong. Leave the diagnoses to the doctors. Doctor Tepper is a straight-shooter with a good personality and sense of humor. I appreciate that, and I'm sure you will too if you ever need to see a doc. I feel very lucky to have had Dr. Tepper as my primary care physician for over 10 years. He is very attentive and pleasant. I have never had another doctor who was so generous with his time when dealing with complex issues. He is quite knowledgeable and keeps up to date on the latest studies. He gives logical and thorough explanations of treatment options and readily addresses my concerns and questions. I can't think of anything more to ask from a family doctor. His office staff is not as efficient or even as competent as they might be, and there seems to be a high rate of turnover. The staff member who took the call said she had to check with the Doctor and that she would call me right back....laugh....one week later... I don't know where all of these positive reviews are coming from, but maybe they are just continually screwing up with my case. I made an appointment because I needed a new GP as I had moved here from San Jose. After getting my personal information and signing all of the paperwork I saw Kelly and told her my medical history and I had planned to bring a list of medications that needed to be refilled, but had forgotten. Kelly was very nice and said that she would fill the prescriptions as soon as I got her the list. I told her that I would fax them to the office and she said that I would be sent a link to the patient portal as well. As no email ever came I called the office and was told that they entered my email address wrong and they would fix it. So I faxed in my prescription list and a week later I called to see if they had gotten the fax and that I needed the scripts filled. They said they would take care of the prescriptions and send me a link to the web portal. Another week goes by and I finally get a link for the web portal but no prescriptions. Finally I got a bill for their services, but almost a month later and STILL NO PRESCRIPTIONS. I've called them and have not had my phone calls returned. At this point I'm see no other option than to report them to my insurance, the Better Business Bureau and the California Medical Association. Fair warning, your mileage may dramatically differ from the five star reviews here. Mine certainly did. read more

Both my 5 year old daughter *and* my 64 year old mother (who suffered a debilitating stroke 3 years ago) have been patients of Dr. Teppers for many years. His genuine, professional and attentive line of questioning during an appointment as well as his (and his staff's) follow-thru after an appointment is like that of a small town doctor. Dr. Tepper is extremely well connected and resourceful within the medical community (both our daughter and my Mom have required specialists through the years). He is extremely thorough when providing a diagnosis as well as when administering medication (always asks to verify weight and other medications being taken). This level of detail is very comforting. I took my 15 year old daughter to Dr. Tepper's office for an ear ache. While we did not see Dr. Tepper we did see his PA. She was AMAZING! She put my daughter right at ease and there was no awkwardness at all during the appointment as this was the very first time we had ever gone. She took her time and did not rush. I have been very pleased so far with Dr. Tepper. I'm hoping this does not come back on me. I have learnt the hard way not to give a thumb's up right away! I have several health issue's and so far Dr. Tepper has been very compassionate and seem's to really take interest in all my health concern's. Yes i pay the extra cost in addition to my private insurance but have found it to be very beneficial for me. My husband and i moved here from Montana about a year ago and the last Primary care doc in California was a joke! All the office staff as well are very accommodating. Dr. Tepper has dealt with my insurance to get a couple of my medications authorized in a timely matter which is a plus these day's most don't want to deal with it. Many might believe it to be due to paying the extra cost in addition to my private insurance. Dr. Tepper is a good doctor and I would agree with most other reviews. However, if you need a prior authorization for a medication...you are screwed! He insisted on a version of the medication I had been taking with my previous doctor for years except the medication he insisted on requires prior auth from insurance company and runs about 11 to 12 bucks per pill without insurance covering it. The first one they got put through within about a week. Its this second one thats killing me. Ive been out of my medication that I need for daily function since a week ago Thursday! On Monday I was told by his assistant "I have it in my hand and I'm doing it right now". Well it's Friday and according to my insurance company...nothing has been submitted to them. Of course, the office is closed today and I'm screwed another weekend without my meds. Since they are so $$$ I've had to nibble on a tiny peice of a tablet everyday just to get me up and to work. I was only able to afford 5 tablets(over $60) to tide me over until the authorization was approved. Once approved it would only be $5. I feel abandoned and like my pain and suffering doesn't mean anything to them as I face another weekend without medication. This doctor was the acting doctor associated with Summit Eating Disorders and Outreach Program. He was responsible for my care. He placed me on numerous psychotropic medications, which should have been Rxed/monitored by a psychiatrist, not by a PCP. While under his care, I was involved in a serious car accident, which the attending physicians attributed to being heavily sedated by the numerous drugs prescribed by Dr. Tepper. I was advised to sue, but did not want to go that route. If you look him up on Vitals.com, you will see that he is very liberal with the Rx pad. Enough said. Buyer beware. read more

I have been blessed with pretty good health over much of my life. But the last few years I have needed medical attention. I had been with an HMO for almost 40 years but when I have needed them of late I got NO help. Dr. Tepper was recommended by a relative. I did not have the right insurance but he saw me anyway and I paid a nominal fee. I was taken aback by the care and attention I received. Yes, there is a fee. I look at it as the best "club" I have ever joined. His big heart, caring attitude, excellent eye contact, update knowledge, and easy availability makes him amazing. I have received appointments on the same day as called, he has called me at home to make sure I was improving, and I have never had to wait. His office staff is patient and considerate and excellent at listening. Besides the excellent medical skills, he offers great comfort. I feel I am safe. In this crazy world he is a treasure to have found. His service is worth every penny. read more

Dr. Tepper is not my favorite, but the PA Christine Sherwood is AMAZING! She really listens and makes you feel very comfortable. She seems interested in all aspects of your health. While I found that Dr. Tepper tends to rely to heavily on medications, Christine is the opposite. Before she gives me a prescription, she always offers me ideas on natural ways to manage my symptoms first. I really appreciate her taking the approach that works best for me. She really is the best!
