I have been a patient at this practice for approximately five years and unfortunately had a very…read moredisappointing experience during my visit on 2/11. I came in for significant back pain. At check-in, I was informed of my $15 co-pay and an additional $90 outstanding balance that I was unaware of. I explained that I had not received any bill or notification and asked for time to contact my insurance provider to confirm the charge before paying. I made it clear I was not refusing to pay -- I simply wanted to verify the billing. While I was in the process of calling my insurance company, I was called back by a staff member who took my vitals, including my blood pressure and weight. I was then seated in the exam room to wait for the provider. Only after I had completed my vitals and was already in the exam room did Dr. Scarlett Lu enter. Instead of beginning the appointment, the focus immediately shifted to the $90 balance. Dr. Lu stated she would not begin the visit until it was paid. I again explained that I was willing to pay if the charge was valid but had never been notified of it. Rather than discussing it calmly, she stated that she was confident I had seen the bill and was avoiding payment. As a long-term patient with no prior billing issues, I found this assumption both surprising and inappropriate. Scarlett even rose her voice at me, to a point where I had to ask her, "why are you raising your voice when we are having a civil conversation?" This conversation occurred while the door was partially open, which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Given the severity of my back pain, I paid the balance so I could proceed with the appointment. Afterward, I checked my MyChart account, which showed a $0 balance. So, I went back to her office, knocked on the door and showed her MyChart. She looked at my phone and was shocked. When I brought this up, I was told that billing is separate from MyChart. She then proceed to apologize to me, "I am sorry I got mad" in the most un-remorseful tone. Almost like a child who was forced to apologize. While I understand systems can differ, the issue for me was not the billing itself -- it was the accusatory and dismissive manner in which I was treated. Healthcare visits can already be stressful, especially when you are in pain. Patients should feel respected and able to ask reasonable questions without being accused of wrongdoing. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider continuing care here. Her level of empathy and respect towards her patients are little to none.

Avoid Dr. Lu. She is CRAZY and cares more about her ego than her patients. I just saw a post about…read moreher on Nextdoor and finally got the courage to put this here and let other people know my experience with her after processing wth happened. After being a loyal patient for 7 years, I experienced a shocking lack of professionalism. When my insurance changed and I booked a future appointment with a new PCP (as required when setting up my new insurance account, and Dr. Lu was not listed as a covered provider), she left me a scorned, unhinged, and angry voicemail saying I was no longer welcome as a patient. Turns out she was covered by the new insurance, but how would I know that when she's not listed in their network? The only reason she saw this other appointment was because I had to go to the ER for something under my old insurance and she was still my PCP. The ER told me to follow up with my PCP to see a specialist for my issue, and she saw the new insurance/new PCP appointment in my chart. Instead of simply asking me if I was switching doctors and explaining she was covered by my new insurance, she became very hostile and dumped me like I was her spouse and she caught me in bed with someone else. When we spoke and I explained my confusion/not knowing she was covered by my new insurance, she yelled at me, accused me of lying and "doctor shopping," and left me in tears. After profusely explaining the misunderstanding and apologizing to her, she offered to still see me, but I said absolutely not, not after seeing that side of her. Someone more concerned about their bruised ego (over an insurance misunderstanding) than my care and recent trip to the ER has no business being my doctor, or anyone's doctor for that matter. Beyond her volatile temper, in hindsight, she was always very dismissive of my symptoms and concerns. I've since been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and allergies that she refused to investigate at the time. She even suggested I skip a follow-up for an abnormal pap smear. Her office is high-tension, staff are miserable, and her records are never updated in MyChart so it makes it difficult for your specialists to follow your care. Hands down my worst experience with any healthcare provider. I work in healthcare now, and work with a lot of different doctors, and none of them would ever act this way towards patients. As someone who works in healthcare now, stay away from Dr. Lu. She used to be close to 5 perfect stars on here if I remember correctly. It was one of the reasons I picked her back when I found her, but I'm sadly not surprised to see the other negative reviews.

Unfortunately, every blue moon (a phrase that my mom likes to use) I have a small flare up around my nose. Of course situations like this always occur around the time that you have to attend a special event. In this case, my wife and I have a small San Diego/Las Vegas trip quickly approaching. Previously, I have been prescribed medicine for seborrheic dermatitis through my physician, Dr. Sara Dougherty. Due to the fact that I was out of refills, I was under the impression that I would have to schedule a regular checkup in order to have Dr. Dougherty prescribe a refill. Fortunately, one of the office assistants suggested that she could send a request for Dr. Dougherty to prescribe a refill without me having to physically visit the office. Within 2 hours Dr. Dougherty had sent the prescription to my local CVS! Talk about efficiency! Thank you to Dr. Sara Dougherty and her awesome team! Now I can walk around confidently, Seborrheic Dermatitis-free!

CAUTION ! BIG BEWARE ! UNPROFESSIONAL, POSSIBLY ILLEGAL TREATMENT FACILITY…read more The staff and doctors at Integrated Care including Debra Murray N.P., Fatima M.A. and the rest of the staff will make 100% promises assuring you that the cost of the Spravato treatments are 100% covered, not to worry about the monthly unpaid invoices. She , (Debra. P.A.) on multiple occasions, tried explaining to us, that she would 'manipulate the "coding" so that the charges they were submitting to BLUE CROSS insurance would reflect some made up reason for a non-existent diagnosis that would get them to cover these treatments, 100%!. We didn't quite understand what Debra was telling us at the time. It never felt quite right with us. It almost felt fraudulent, it felt suspect and even shady and is the primary reason that both my partner and I left INTEGRATED CARE and went elsewhere for continued treatments. They, usually "Debra", on multiple occasions, told us, there's just some sort of "lag time"in payments from BlueCross-CA. Eventually, when the unpaid balance was becoming so large and 100%, unpaid. We both felt very uncomfortable about it and discontinued with treatments at IntegratedCare, regardless of the multiple conversations with them assuring us "not to worry" is just some kind of office error. They assured us both, that "eventually, the entire bill would be covered and to "just toss the invoices into the trash". They even kept incurrageing my partner to keep coming for the weekly treatments. All the while, his balance kept growing bigger and bigger. Apparently, the information and instructions that they were telling us? They were either inaccurate or possibly just a plain lies. They made mentions on telling, possibly fabricated information to the BlueCross, so why would I trust them to be honest with us? Over the past year, we are still today getting monthly statements today more than a year later. The stressful PAST DUE OR GOING INTO COLLECTIONS letters start coming in with a past due balance of $7,292.78 ! After numerous attempts to resolve and numerous promises that there no need to worry. Why couldn't they just be honest with us in the beginning or at anytime? Why would they encourage us to continue with weekly Spravato treatments for nearly 8 mos. Why wouldn't they inform us that the insurance was not paying their "bogusly coded charges"? while no payments were being approved by insurance? They never bothered to mention anything about it to us. What kind of business does that anyway? WHERE ELSE WOULD A PRIVATELY OWNED CLINIC CONTINUE PROVIDING "UNPAID" SERVICES FOR 7 MOS? ZERO payments received !! It ridiculous to imagine any medical, "niche" clinic to allow this kind of practice..The charges were more than my partners total income at that time !Over one year later, the obnoxious and bogus past due notices keep on coming on the first week of every month, showing still, no payments made. I now believe that they were repeatedly lying to us, telling us that ALL SERVICES WOULD BE PAID IN FULL. We eventually found another location in which all the needed treatments and services would be covered 100%.. BUYER BEWARE. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU, JUST TO KEEP YOU COMING for treatments while knowing that the treatments aren't being covered by insurance. I believe they just want to keep the number of patients as elevated as possible. That bottom line $$$ is #1 for them. This went on for around 8 mos.! We can no way afford $7,410 or around $10,000.00/ yr. for Spravato treatments for anxiety, depression & PTSD. Nor did we ever "verbally agree" to pay out of pocket for the services. THIS has become a big source of anxiety and depression in itself, over a year later. Thanks alot I.Care. We all know. We will never actually be made to pay this "BOGUS MEDICAL INVOICE". I am no expert, but am starting to believe that they will gladly take it and use it for a income TAX WRITE OFF write off, against the insanely hugely profitable, lucrative margins they work with there. I believe it's several hundred percent mark-up for a relatively cheap pharmaceutical given and supervised by a couple underpaid LVN'S and M.A's. I believe this was possibly there intention all along. I feel this practice is just plain dishonest, wrong and possibly even illegal. We have been very patient, waiting for some kind of resolve on this invoice. We should not be receiving any statement with any unpaid balances today., .Its now been just over a year. Still getting those statements. We are just fed up with this place. The dishonest and manipulative tactics used by the staff at Integrated Care is pretty sub par, even for the far less than desirable medical services community we are all living with today. I hope this review might prevent someone else from being mislead or maybe even lied to as we were by this very possibly, unethical Spravato clinic. You might end up with another giant sized unpaid bill when you leave there. Be careful

This Sutter location refuses to let me schedule appointments and insists I have to wait months to see my David Lin, my PCP. This terrible location intentionally only offers appointments through PAs to save money, and the PA that does work at this location, Rachel Basulto, gives terrible medical advice and rushes appointments. For example, I have family history with metastatic melanoma (skin cancer). My mother passed away from it, and three other close family members were diagnosed, yet I was told by this Sutter clinic that this doesn't matter and there's no point in worrying about cancer but they would refer me to a derm. They didn't. And then they refused to give me a referral. When I asked other family members, they said all their doctors/PCPs insist they get checked annually by a derm. Funny that Sutter doesn't think I should do the same. During another appointment, I was having chronic neck pain, and instead of listening to me and trying to diagnose me, I was just given a generic printout of helpful "flexibility exercises." lol. ok. Also, when I had a routine physical here, I was told that they scheduled an appointment at the Sutter Lab next door for bloodwork. lol nope. I was lied to and had to go to a different location. Amazing customer service here. Sutter also got my medical records mixed up with another person (doesn't this violate HIPAA? LMFAO) and locked me out of my online Sutter Health account because of it. What was especially concerning is that the clinic was not busy at all--there were no patients in the waiting area, and staff were sitting at the front. A staff member stated they had already "closed everything up" and were ready to go home. This was not a situation where the clinic was overwhelmed. I arrived before the stated cutoff time and was still denied care. This experience was inconsistent with their posted hours and creates a barrier for patients relying on accurate information to access care. If the clinic chooses to stop accepting patients earlier than advertised, that needs to be clearly communicated.

Without any knowledge or referral of Sutter Heath Physician, I randomly picked Dr. Zheng. This is a starting of my nightmare experiences. Since the January, I made three visits. Each and every time, I never got to see Doctor. Instead, I have met a nurse practitioner named. A.Y. L, NP-C. She was arrogant, inattentive and rude. Among uncountable and continuous disappointments, following are some facts incurred among many others. She never reviewed my medical charts before she comes into a room to see me. I had to remind her of many of my medical conditions and my concerns. Very inattentive and ignorant individual. She also never returns your calls. Only once she returned my call after I made a complaint to Office Manager. She also made inducive efforts to change my diabetic medication from Glipizide to "Rybelsus." I paid zero copayment on Metformin or Glipizide however my co-payment of Rybelsus is $100.00 for monthly supply. Numerous times, she tried so hard to convince me to change my prescription. When I mentioned about the co-payment, she told me that she will call my insurance company to reduce my copayment. What the hack!! Is that possible? This was the only thing that she had shown me a great effort and concern. It was very obvious that she or/and this office gets some kinds of incentives from this new or unknown brand of diabatic medication. I was also told by others that some offices will get kick-back and incentives. Speaking of pharmacy, I made change to my pharmacy location and, had clearly notified this office several times. Even after they prescribed my medication to new pharmacy once. On my following visit made, they send my medication to my old pharmacy. Totally unorganized. I am a recipient of the DMV disable plaid card due to injured right knee. The MRI report indicates a complete radial tear of the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus tear and grade 4 cartilage loss of the lateral compartment. Per Orthoptic Surgeon, I am medically qualified for a permanent disabled plaid card. When I request for a DMV disable card, Alex says that it is her office policy that they only issue the permanent cards after an issuance of two consecutive 6 months temporally cards. I was very amazed and dismayed. Any Physician is authorized to approve the DMV disable card, when the patient's medical condition defines for its necessity. Should not be hindered by the Office Policy. So many accumulative stresses and discomforts, I have finally changed my personal physician. If you are seeking for a new doctor, please DO NOT make a mistake like I have. DO NOT go to this office. It is a nothing but a nightmare.
