Horizon recently switched to a members-only club, and I must admit it has been amazing. For less…read morethan what I would spend on Netflix, you get access to an amazing group built by comic lovers for comic lovers. Uts appointment only, so when you set up an appointment you know you have 100% attention from employees who care. This isn't just another comic book shop, its a community. The support, advice, and knowledge I've gained as a member has been worth more than I've paid without question.

Like many people, I was initially surprised when Horizon Comics changed from a traditional walk-in…read morecomic shop to a membership-based subscription model. Change isn't always easy, and I understand why some people were disappointed. That said, I think many of the recent one-star reviews are really reactions to the business model changing rather than the quality of the service itself. As someone who became a member, I can honestly say the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The level of customer service has increased dramatically. The owners know what I collect, communicate with me regularly, help me track down books I'm looking for, and provide a level of personalized service that simply wasn't possible under the old model. The membership tiers are flexible, and the entry-level option costs about the same as buying a couple of comics each month. For collectors, that's an incredible value considering the tailored service you receive. Will this model be for everyone? No, and that's okay. If you're someone who just wants to walk into a store, grab a comic, and leave with minimal interaction, there are other comic shops in the Antelope Valley and countless online retailers that can meet that need. But if you're a serious collector who values personalized recommendations, pull list management, and owners who genuinely invest in helping you build your collection, Horizon Comics has created something special. In an era when brick-and-mortar comic shops are struggling to survive, they've chosen to differentiate themselves by focusing on customer relationships rather than trying to compete with online discount retailers. For me, the change has been a huge improvement, and I wholeheartedly recommend at least looking into one of the membership options. I'm glad I made the switch, and I hope this approach helps keep a great local comic shop thriving for years to come.

Wasn't looking for anything in particular, but I ended up buying a bound series before I check out…read morea series on Netflix. The guy working talked to a couple patrons before they left, but as I was looking around, he didn't bother asking if I needed help finding anything. The staff at the comic book store in Claremont - A Shop Called Quest -are way better at helping, asking if you need anything, and like to talk about comics. Value: 0. Overpriced. I just checked my transaction history, and it was $43.53 out the door. Amazon has it for $19.

Hello, I've been to…read morethis comic book shop a few times. I like the selection and the layout is really user friendly. I'm rather new to comic collecting and I've been trying to keep my collection growing, but because I'm new to the hobby I don't always know how things work so I try to ask questions to the workers at the stores I visit. The store has one person who is honestly kind of rude. He is an older bald white guy. I've interacted with him a few times in the past briefly but I always felt he was kinda short and rude with me in comparison to how he interacts with other guests . I thought maybe I am overthinking the interaction so I always just let it slide and kept coming back. I told my partner briefly about this and he even agreed that maybe it could be me over thinking. I went in with my partner and this time I asked a question to the cashier about comic releases and the rude guy interjected and made condescending comments about me not knowing how releases work and overall made me feel really stupid. His whole energy just makes me feel like I'm not welcome and that I'm less than because I'm new to the comic hobby. When we left the store my partner immediately was like "is that the guy that is always rude to you?" I don't think I will come back to this store again because of how rude and unprofessional that guy is. He just really lacks customer service skills.

This is just an updated review to post some pictures for Barnes & Noble Victorville and also…read morecomment on their cafe area. After picking up a couple books for my youngest daughter, we got a coupon for Buy One Cookie Get Another Cookie 50% Off. So why not? We both love cookies. Their cookies were not cheap... $3.50 each. They are a tad bigger than your average Joe cookie LOL, but still. Anyway, that didn't stop us from getting 2 of their cookies. We got 1 Oatmeal Raisin Cookie and 1 Salted Caramel Cookie. Both cookies were really good. The Oatmeal Raisin Cookie could be softer though. Cafe staff was okay. They weren't the most smiley though. That's okay... I guess it all depends on the person and mood at the moment. We ended up paying $5.25 for both cookies. We could have gotten 1 or 2 bags of Chips Ahoy at that price, but hey, you gotta pay the price for premier cookies... name brand will cost you LOL! One last thing, I am glad books are still being published for the public and purchased by consumers for their reading enjoyment. Have a good read for those who still love having a book in their hands!

This place is horrible. They're not even affiliated with Starbucks, they won't accept SB gift…read morecards. it's like they aren't trained and just hired anyone to make coffee! Firstly the coffee always taste like watered down milk. I've had to ask them to remake drinks atleast 5 times. Each time it comes out just as bad, l I could honestly make better coffee at home!!!! And their attitude is always so rude, like they hate their job and their life. This place needs help to get it together or something. Sucks cause they'll keep in business because it's the ONLY coffee place in the whole mall...
