I had been a customer at Animal Ark since it opened. The reason I came was that the owner, Lyndon really cared about my pets and showed empathy. During Lyndon's reign I would, without question, have given 5 stars. Since the practice was taken over by Linnaeus, the standard has not only dropped, but the vet's in general do not have the same standard before the takeover. It is also very difficult to see a regular vet as they are so busy. When calling the practice, you are put on hold for ages before the phone is answered and on occasions, answered and kept holding for 10-15 mins. One of the biggest issues I have is that the invoices for treatment are very difficult to understand and more than often I'm having to ask the reception to breakdown the invoices for me. I have had to correct a few invoices once explained to me. It doesn't take many people to have the same issue before the practice makes thousands... My point is this; being a big practice doesn't mean that it is better. In my experience, it means longer waits on the phones, a vet that doesn't know your pet as you can't guarantee the same vet and the possibility of incorrect invoices, probably due to staff turnover and inexperience. I would like to say that Lionel is a fantastic vet and I would highly recommend him. Unfortunately, we won't see Lyndon there any time in the near future...

Since writing my original review, I have decided to leave Animal Ark. I have been there from the beginning, but the practice has changed so much that I can no longer take my pets to such a poor practice. The last issue was on the 31st of March where the practice charged a consultation fee of more than £38 for each of my kittens. They were seen for less than 10 mins. The Program treatment was on top. The bill total was just under £270. The practice wants to charge you more and spend less time with you. For me, enough is enough. Corporate greed is put BEFORE my animals welfare. Linnaeus, I'm waiting for you to defend what I have written, but the mere fact that you haven't suggests to me that you have no defence to my statement. read more
