Food looked and tasted amazing, place was clean/sparkly and the guy who helped us out was incredibly kind as first time visitors he walked us thru the menu and even made suggestions! What happened to this place? Quality went to pot. Burgers are overcooked and like card board pucks. They stopped doing customer appreciation day Wednesday evenings except for a few burgers. Now when I call them out for charging us more than the prices listed on their menu, they tell me oops they have the wrong menu prices up! They change to higher priced items on Wednesday across the board. So you aren't saving any money on 1/2 price burger night since all is the burgers are $2-3 more. How shady and disrespectful. This is a fast food type of restaurant that makes gluten free burgers and fries and fried pickles and fried mushrooms and french fries and sweet potato fries. I believe they have a gluten-free dedicated fryer. We got the slapjack and it was tasty. My wife got the pineapple slice burger good. Having to give this place 3 stars.... Although I really want to give a full 5 but this visit was not the quality I have come to expect from Angus Jacks I have experienced in the past. Truly I should give less than 3. First, upon arriving at the drive through window the dude greeting us was whispering.... Like not exaggerating WHISPERING! When I ordered he repeated back to me twice and I finally said,"I literally cannot hear you". Even my daughter in the car said it felt super weird. We placed our order. When the window shut the guy turned to another worker and they were having a pleasant convo, laughing and such, that ...yes I could hear.... This I felt was so unprofessional. I felt like he was whispering on purpose to me just to make it harder to hear. I have celiac and I have to be extremely careful when eating out.... hence why we came to AJ. They have ALWAYS been reliable and trustworthy with cross contamination and I love their fries! When I ordered I said I needed gluten free for allergy purposes. They were out of gfree bread so I just had the AJ burger no bread and fries. Well, this time I got sick and stayed sick for days. I was super discouraged as I knew this was the only outlier that caused the sickness. I am really hoping this is a one time thing and not a true reflection of AJ, however I seriously doubt we will ever return. The hamburgers were outstanding. The drive-thru service was terrible. We sat for 15 minutes behind a car in front of us. Then we sat for 10 minutes waiting at the closed window before a girl handed us our order and said thank you. I told her I hadn't paid for it yet. She looked confused. Pricey but a really good meal. We've tried several of the burgers and no complaints there. We must choose off hours because the restaurant is usually empty when we've been there. On our last visit, the soda machines still did not work (over a 4 month period - every time). We had to try 3 different tables for a ketchup bottle which had enough in one to provide enough for our fries. Those are not usually a big deal but for the price of the food, it seems like a reasonable expectation. Not really sure we will go back after giving the place that many tried. I meet with a group of guys weekly here because the food is good! Burgers are handmade. Fries are fresh cut (ask for the blackened seasoning on the fries....mmmmm). Staff is courteous and always working. Often they come around to clean up your trash and ask if they can get anything else for you. The reason for a 4-star and not a 5-star is because they are inconsistent with the fries. 75% of the time they are cooked well, while the other 25% they are undercooked. Recommended. read more

I dare say this may be the best burger in NWA! The angus beef patty itself has so much flavor. With everything on it, it is the perfect combo of lettuce, tomatoe, onion, cheese, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. Condiment ratios are important and they nailed it. So I ordered through the app, the experience was terrible. After ordering fries, i tried to order burgers and everything else. It finished the order. I went back to finish the order and the process was weird and not user friendly. The process was pickup WAS TERRIBLE. I went to pickup and the employees literally didnt have my order and had to lookup to find my order and cook. So many others were in the drive through so I had to wait another 30 minutes for them to cook. The employees were rude and dismissive of the issues. I had to wait behind all other orders. Due to the separate orders, they cooked the fries in 1 order and then 20 minutes later delivered the rest. As you can imagine, fries soggy and cold. After I took home, the burgers were missing my avocados and other condiments. Frankly, I like the taste and keep trying to make this work. I spoke with the owner 2 other times I had issues.
