The new change of management has really made a difference. You can tell they really care now. The food is somehow even better

The waiting room is nice, we got to get very familiar with the red cushions in the front due to the amount of time we spent there. "Few Minutes" = 30 minutes. Our host kept making eye contact with us and ignoring cleaning a table when the restaurant was dang-near empty. Went there for the endless wings, stayed because we already wasted enough time waiting for our table. When we FINALLY got a table, we ended up ordering the 1$ margaritas. We were only able to get 4 margs in a span of 1 1/2 hours. I could've walked over to the liquor store and poured my own at that point. Not to mention the real despicable part of the night, was when we went for the endless wings that were advertised, they said that we don't get to order that. Unacceptable. Considering all the food is frozen (what it tasted like), maybe they just didn't have enough microwaves in the back to cook our food. Our server was cool, but dang did it take an absurd amount of time to get the food. I'm hurt. Applebees. I ate at your place when I was 7. No wonder I blocked out the taste of the food from my memory. How does one make a chicken bacon ranch taste like a piece of soggy cardboard, granted there is ranch on that piece of cardboard. Writing this while my stomach feels like it has been given a punch to the gut, I feel guilty for having eaten here. I was betrayed. You are a monster Applebees. Another horrible experience. Bartender was going to bring me the wrong beer. The music was so loud in there he probably couldn't hear that well. Went somewhere else after paying for the beer I didn't drink. Other patrons commented to the bartender about my remarks of the music being too loud. Second horrible experience I have had here. Will never go to this or any other Applebees ever again do to the ambience and them letting other customers call me a particular "man" part. I was just stating the truth about the music. 1. Stood with my family and it took 20 mns before someone finally greeted us. 2. Several tables were not cleaned. 3. Chips all over the carpet and servers are just stepping on them like it is totally normal. 4. The Table we were eating was very sticky. 5. I ordered a French Onion Soup and they totally forgot about it. The waitress bought only the Entrees. 6. They ran out of mac&cheese bowls so they served my kids in cups. 7. Our three kids finished their meals and they still didn't bring our entrees yet. 8. Entrees were delicious and so were the kids meals. 9. My wife ordered Lemonade but she received water instead. The waitress insisted that it was lemonade. Unbelievable! 10. Because of the long waiting, the waitress told us that the manager gave us a discount by taking one meal off. 11. Waitress gave us the bill and never returned to get a payment process. She was busy with other customers. 12. After a while, we said "let's get out". When the waitress saw that we were about to leave, she rushed to come get the card for payment. 13. There is a video game called high on life that makes this joke about Applebee's as being like the basic bitch restaurant of the universe called 'space Applebee's' and it totally encapsulates my feeling on the chain. Got a date you dont want to see again? Take them to Applebee's! Too lazy to cook? Applebees! Microwave broken? Applebees! Just google 'applebees jokes and you'll see what i'm saying. Other restaurants dont have jokes like this probably about them do they? I'm surprised this location is around, they closed the fayetteville one down some time ago. The service here is a real toss up depending on the hiring cycle... they go through staff FAST. We've had all manner of experiences here... waitresses who have had nervous break downs and just disappeared. waitstaff that admittedly were getting high and forgot to come back to the table. All sorts of stuff There's actually been a few dishes at Applebees that I really enjoyed but they kept having this annoying habit of taking them off the menu. Forget what they were (one was called "brewed something chicken" It's happened at least twice. Red Lobster does this too (Kung Pao Shrimp and Noodles) Applebee's when ya go you wont be missed. read more

This food was surprisingly more delicious than I remember! We had an awesome waitress, who made recommendations for drinks and food, that we absolutely loved. Horrible Service, Rude, and Gave us the wrong order. Food was alright. The atmosphere wasn't great by any means.

We arrived at 2:40 pm, took over an hour to get the first part of our food. 3 people of our group did not get their food for another 30 minutes. One person in our group got a steak that came out finally 30 minutes after everyone was already done service was so bad. Only thing they did to make it right was taking off our 2 appetizers. Out of 7 of us, only 2 meals were brought out correctly. Horrible horrible. Never coming back here. read more

I have no idea why I keep trying to see if the old Applebees is back. Nope. We got salmon that was not fully cooked and a dusting of Cajun seasoning on it. When the manager came out they let us pick something else because they said "all of our salmon is frozen and it will take too long to make". The one star is because they tried to fix it by comping and our waiter was trying. The honey chicken and cheese was too oily and covered with sauce. The breadsticks were hard batons. We really liked the food, and everything was amazing but it bothered us how much the waiter was checking in on us I think he checked in over 6-8 times in one hour which we don't mind the little chanter back and forth but we were on a date. And wanted to talk with each other. Another thing was we're both transgender men, obviously we look like women but having someone constantly reminding you you're a woman felt very uncomfortable. I get it once or twice is fine but every time being said "Hey ladies." We weren't too bothered by it though just we got a bit uncomfortable so we tried to just eat. We didn't correct him because the topic alone is iffy now a days because I didn't want to make it an awkward conversation. I didn't mind the gossip I heard behind us since the two hosts were talking about genders and such it was fun to hear someone explain it. Everything else was amazing! I felt like we were ripped off. Almost no one in the restaurant when we arrived around 2pm. Ordered drinks and specified the well liquor. The waitress came back and actually tried to talk me into a top shelf bourbon which I declined. Another member of our party ordered rum and coke and received Malibu rum which is more like a liqueur and completely different. Then a group of large, loud people came in and were seated right next to us! Remember, the entire place was nearly empty. The appetizer took forever and came out the same time as our food. I ordered my steak "very, very rare, like "blue" rare" with emphasis! My steak arrived extremely well done. I didn't do anything because the waitress never came back until she brought the bill. And wow, after specifying well liquor in all our drinks, everyone except myself was charged for "top shelf" liquor which made them about twice as much as they should have been! The Long Island tea was even called the "mucho top shelf LIT." We had a bad experience at this Applebees a long time ago and hadn't been back until now. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. We will never return to the Springdale Arkansas Applebees ever again and will be sure to warn anyone who will listen. read more

To whoever is in charge because staff does not even seem to know who is in charge I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent dining experience at your restaurant yesterday evening August 26th, 2024 I have been a regular patron of your establishment for years but unfortunately, my experience on this occasion was appauling and I believe it warrants your attention rather I hate to be a person to do this very thing but at the amount of ridiculousness comes at play I am frowned I started to believe that it may have been a very long night or it is very short handed but not to mention waiting for a very long time to be seated 10 minutes as others were to and you are not even very bust as I got seated 10 minutes after finally standing at your door waiting to be sat i was brought to a table which was filthy and then moved to a different on my own i was told by a young lady I'll have to go find someone who wants to take your order. 'Mind you right after half price appetizer starts. They seem to be young acults with little guidance so I am a very understanding person so I decided to let that matter go mistakes happen but after a few staff chit chatting to take my order between who was going to take my order finally a young lady greets me at my table she said "Can i help you" Normally I would joke seemingly of course at the way I was greeed but knew we were here to dine and we were hungry so as we gave her our appetizer order 20 minutes came around and I wave a staff member down and when I asked where our drinks were and food or waitress was she finally come out and told me she forgot to put the order in and at that moment I knew it would ve a very long time and said scratch the order I no longer can wait and I would carry my business somewhere else and asked that i have a manager to come over and speak with me on tonights visit and while the staff seemed confused and hesitant and asked if I would like to wait and speak to someone and I said yes and minutes later she comes to tell me she cannot find the manager at the time but as soon as she sees someone she will tell them I am here i told the staff toI let them know that as a loyal customer, I was disappointed that the standards I had come to expect were not met. No one greeted my table and some of you seem like this is your first day that's when the young lady told me she was sorry it was an unassigned sitting area and some of us had been cut soon. I have ate here before and I know there is normally a little longer dining experience but to the impolite and unprofessional behavior from staff is upsetting. I trust this was an isolated incident, but I hope that corrective measures will be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future and as I was leaving I had laid my eyes on a staff member entering the dining area who plopped down at a booth on the phone that I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter as I hope for anyone else's experience to be much better and more welcoming than I had experienced. We got there before 6 on a Monday evening. There were three people behind the bar, "working". No one acknowledged us. A 4th person, who said he was off the clock, told us the wait would be at least 20 minutes, because there were only two servers working. After 30 minutes a server came over, she talked with her friend who got there after we did. She did not look at us. We have had poor service there, but never like this. We left and won't return. I tried to call to talk to the manager, before leaving this review. I couldn't talk to a person, and the mailbox is full. I had to select a rating, I couldn't leave 0 stars. read more

Didn't assume dinner would come out the same way but the chicken Parmesan was a microwaved chicken patty thrown on top of canned sauce and cold noodles. It was just a horrible experience. Took forever to pay and get our tickets had trouble splitting them up so then that took another 10 mins finally the scum bag manager come over to our table after he put on his collared shirt to look professional because 5 mins prior to this he just had on a black shirt. To start, Fernando was our server and he was great. Very personable and funny. However, he disappeared for quite awhile and came out to apologize stating he was also cooking our food. Then he was bussing tables. They had him doing so many jobs that we were left without refills for quite awhile. Refills weren't a huge deal but then my moms entree came out 10 minutes before anyone else's.. it was all around not a great experience. No fault to Fernando, like I said, he was great and was running trying to get everything done, but 100% on management. I saw the manager standing by the bar a couple times not doing much. I had a hesitant relationship with Applebee's since childhood--never been impressed with their quality, but I decided to give them a shot again due to their 2 for $20 special. We ordered mozzarella sticks, the 6oz sirloin (medium well) with cheesy broccoli, and the bourbon chicken with shrimp. The cheese sticks were passable, but when our actual food came out, we were sorely disappointed. Not only did the broccoli come out missing cheese, but the sirloin arrived as a piece of rubber with heavy pink in the center. When you cut into it, it flopped off the plate. I know Applebee's was never known as a steakhouse, but they should seriously reevaluate their menu if this is the quality they choose to serve. When my companion walked off because the food made them gag, I kindly brought the issue to hand with the server. Despite the wrongly input order and the kitchen failure and the blatant customer dissatisfaction, I received a full price bill. Needless to say, we are not coming back. read more

Ordered the 4 cheese mac & cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders. it came out with just olive oil on the noodles and zero cheese on it. when we brought it up to the waitress she said thats how it's served and Offered to go get him some more cheese. she came out with cheese sauce which should have been on it in the first place. then the chicken tenders only had a drizzle of sauce over them. it was so sad. the pic clearly shows cheese on the Mac and cheese. service was slow. my husband had to do everything in his power not to eat as everyone else was finishing up their meal. the lady with us said the chicken tenders used to have sauce on them. hers had very little if any cheese too. really sad. read more

Standard applebees menu. Atmosphere: Not very busy. Service is very attentive. Check the specials board at the door. They feature drink/meal specials around sports games. Watch-outs: They don't mind sitting families in the bar section. 2 times now we had to request not to be seated in the bar when there was an entire empty sections on the perimeter. The food: Appetizers are the best bet if you are not sure what you want or marginally hungry. Try the fish and chips. It's fried but oh so good. read more

We went to Applebee's for drinks and were very disappointed by the lack of alcohol in the drinks. The drinks tasted like juice, which wouldn't be a problem if we weren't paying for them. I mean, they tasted great, just weren't worth the money. We also went for half-priced appetizers after 9 pm, only to find out that only a few select appetizers were actually half off (which is not what is advertised). We even asked the waiter if appetizers were half-priced after 9 pm and he said they were, neglecting to mention that it is just a few of the appetizers. The waiter also commented on the amount he was tipped, which made us uncomfortable. He also took our cups when we still had half-full drinks left. I ordered a side of mac and cheese and was given (and charged for) a mac and cheese kids meal. On top of that, I wasn't even asked about a side for the kids meal and was just given applesauce. At the end of the meal, we had a lot of food left and were never offered to-go boxes. The waiter also forced us to pay before we were done eating and stood over us as we did so, even though we used a tablet at the table to pay and did not need assistance. Been here a couple of times and since COVID started my husband and I have been even more understanding of the restaurants being short staffed, and also make sure we even tip well even if the service wasn't great. Today was by far one of the worst Experiences ever. Since we walked in the place was not even half full. I believe it was the bartender lady whom was very nice btw she sat us down and said our waitress would be Lacey. There was another waitress there name Autumn we thought she was our waitress but she literally kept walking past us ignoring us and giving us kind of dirty looks. So I got up after about 15-20 of sitting without any water nothing and went to ask another waitress who Lacey was and to my surprise it was her. I told her I've been sitting there for a while she said no one told her I was there and I told her she even also walked by us and we have been there. She took our order brought us our drinks. We asked for an appetizer and two burgers. I finished my lemonade waited for a refill one never came I asked for one it never came my husband asked for a refill on the beer after 20 minutes he got up and went to the bar to get it himself. I still didn't have a refill on the lemonade. There is no excuse when every single table around us is getting refill after refill. And I told Lacey I've been waiting for a refill her response was lacking she said she "put it in" there was no apology whatsoever no concerns nothing. By this time I had been waiting for a refill probably 30-40 minutes that is ridiculous. I can't be sympathetic to this staff because our table was the only one not getting serviced and there is no excuse for that! Had lunch with my husband today, to celebrate my upcoming birthday. Tom was our waiter. Service like this is hard to find!! He was energetic, funny and helpful!! I couldn't decide what to eat and he recommended the fiesta grilled chicken. It was amazing!! Had a bahama mama to drink. Everything was great.
