Not sure why the rating on Yelp for this place is kinda "meh"... First time trying this place and ordered pick up for my husband and I. Easy ordering online and a quick pickup. Got home and these to go containers were loaded to the brim and absolutely delicious. I got the Hangry Fix Bowl and my husband got the angry fries and a chicken sandwich (medium heat and hot for sandwich) Next time I'd get the angry fries only because I could have gone without the rice in the Hangry fix bowl but that's just my own personal preference. Everything else in the Hangry Fix bowl was still loaded, it wasn't just all rice and topped with a little food. I'm big on reviews and my husband doesn't trust reviews and now I can see why. I wouldn't have tried this place because of the low rating on yelp, but thanks to my husband, we still tried this place and I'm glad we did. We will definitely be getting food here again! Called and complained and instead of making it right, (maybe a credit for next time) they informed me that there's nothing they can do because that's the "new Policy". Been wanting to come to Angry Chickz for years. Since I first heard they opened in Fresno to Visalia and finally in Hanford, but just never got around to it until today. Not sure what took me this long but I'm glad I finally made it here. Ordered online and brought it home to enjoy. The food was overall good. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Not as crispy as I would like it, but it might have been the trip home and it soak ing up the juices from the sandwich. I think overall it was good, but I wish there would have been more chicken and less sandwich. If the sandwich had more chicken I would have been happier with just one instead of two sandwiches with one strip each. Otherwise, they were good and flavorful. The fries had a nice crunch and well-seasoned. Nice option for a chicken place. A little on the pricey side in opinion, but the food is good and well done. My wife and I were looking for a light meal and decided to stop in at Angry Chickz and see about their fare. I enjoy "hot" or "spicy " foods. My wife does not. I don't like heat in food just to get heat - I want flavor, and never thought that chicken would be improved by cranking up the heat. But I was game to give it a go. We learned we could get variably spiced chicken tender sandwiches so we elected to stay and eat. The food was good; the service was good, the decor was good, the price was okay. The seasoning on the chicken was tasty and the heat maybe even made it tastier. Possibly. Not knowing how "hot" the different heat levels were. I decided to go for "Hot", but the counter person said I should go for "medium" because medium is very hot. Hmmpf. Okay, I'll go "medium". My wife opted for the lowest - guaranteed no heat. Hers was perfect, mine was okay. But not hot enough - if I was going to eat "hot" chicken. Next time, if there is one, I'll go for "extra hot" . All in all I think the experience was about average - nothing much to rave about and nothing much to complain about. So for now - 3 stars (average) is my call. read more

The food was really flavorful. It was my first time eating here and I was definitely a fan of it. It didn't take too long to get our food. The only reason why it didn't get five stars was because the tables were dirty and the cashier was a bit rude. I am fairly new to Hanford and so is Angry Chickz, but i wanted to check out the food. I walked in and thought the place was closed because there was only one small family eating, but Carly welcomed me with a smile, recommended some choices and was extremely friendly. I explained I am new to town and also asked her for some other business recommendations ( hair and nail salons) and she happily shared some places for both. I have had their food before at a different location. Food is always great. This is the closest one to where my wife and I live which is 25 minutes away. No online ordering or call in to order. As of now it has been an hour since I have ordered and still 10 orders to go before me. Besides the 2 girls at the register, doesn't seem like anyone does anything here. Flavor was ok, but the best meal is probably the angry Mac which we had gotten previously at the Visalia store. This location is really out of the way too. Located in a strip mall with ample parking. I've heard so much about this place and I was so disappointed. The breading on the chicken is poorly prepared and just falls of soggy. Most of the plate was covered in rice so it's like your paying for rice Instead of chicken. The food I really like. I feel like they do a good job of creating that hot Nashville chicken theme they are going for. The service was great too, very polite and quick service. The biggest issue for me was the cleanliness of the dine in area. It was very messy, none of the tables or chairs were wiped down, there was food and hair in the tables and in the chairs also on the floor. I walked in and asked for my food and was told it wasn't ready, sat there for 20 minutes and asked again how much longer, was told 10-15 mins, sat there for another 15 minutes only for them to tell me the food was sitting there the entire time and they "didn't know I was there". Tried their food for a 2nd time because the 1st visit took so long (20 min line and 40 min wait for food) and thinking the first time might've been a bad day. I ordered food, commuted 20 mins, and showed up 10 mins early. With all that time, they STILL were 15 mins late on my order! I checked in upon arrival and had to address the situation once they were 10 mins late. The cashier could not care less by my frustration. She didn't reassure me that my order was next or anything. Considering how much starting salary is, I would expect some hustle and sense or urgency to earn that much! Not only is the staff unfriendly and slow, but the inside is a wreck! As with most Hanford businesses this location is substandard. I visited the Visalia location countless times and never had a bad experience but the Hanford location just doesn't cut it. The food isn't quite up to par but it's the extremely slow service, poor attitudes of staff and the filthy dining area that really turned me off. I came here several times over the first couple months they were open but it hasn't gotten any better. And I know quite a few people who agree. For the high price they charge for chicken it should come with top notch service. I doubt I'll go back. Instead I'll just hit the Visalia spot now and then. If they don't get their act together this will be just another failed Hanford restaurant. read more

Great service, delicious food! I really enjoy there house sauce, it reminds me of chick fila sauce! The fries are nice and crispy and seasoned well. The server was very hospitable and delightfully informative with insightful descriptions of the food and the deals. I live nearby and see it always very busy which can cause delays (like so many places in the area), but it was no longer than every other place AND it was worth the wait. Food is decent but absolutely terrible service. I've tried at least 5 times because the first couple of times the food was great although they were a bit slow. After those first few times the service went so downhill I will never be back. Each time we waited longer for our food. The last time we ordered online, showed up 15 minutes after it was supposed to be ready, and still waited 20 more minutes to get our food. All in all well over an hour from the time of the order. Our first experience and our last. I ordered a #4 combo... two tenders over rice with pickles and coleslaw mild spice. Got my order in a BROKEN food container and NO CHICKEN! My husband takes it back and they just threw the chicken into the broken container, but added red thread to it. So I take it back show them the broken container and the thread. The counter help was very apologetic. She takes it to the window and is explaining what's wrong with it as I'm watching... and the people in the back just keep looking at me as if I am in the wrong for wanting the $13 meal that I paid for to be correct! Nothing like waiting for your order to be corrected and getting rude looks and eye rolls! DO BETTER PEOPLE! The chicken had a burnt taste to it, coleslaw had no flavor and the rice was just average.
