I was prepared for "similar to Mexican, yet different". The grilled beef steak(like carne asada) with oiled rice and salad was served with a small side plate of round thick tortilla -like bread. Sort of like a pupusa without a filling. I can tell there was corn meal in it. I ordered the hibiscus tea. It was tasty and refreshing. One of my dining companions ordered a dish that was as somewhat similar to a chile relleno, only filled with ground beef and without cheese. It was tasty and savory, but had no heat, no chiles. It was a little awkward for me, because had no expectations of what to expect. The meat was a little salty, and tasted good. The serving portions were of good size. I do like the heat of Mexican food, so I was a little disappointed the El Salvadoran food isn't. Next time, illstick to the pupusas. Service was attentive.

Our food came out quickly and was amazing--the portions and drinks were generous, the chicken in my enchiladas was grilled well, etc. Unbeknownst to us, she sketched the 3 of us while we ate on our check and it was the sweetest thing ever. I had to include it here. It was a little warm in the restaurant on a hot day so if you're heat sensitive that's a factor to consider, but otherwise 12/10 recommend.
