Probably will return: they need an upgrade urgently. The good: convenient location. 4-5pm wine they offer in the lobby is decent. Complimentary bike; they also provide beach chair, bag and suntan lotion - thanks - didn't use. The long table at their ground floor restaurant is beautiful; the front desk in the small reception hall is hand carved out of marble, it's one-of-a-kind table. Rooftop and the pool (my best guess is about 20 yards in length) is great. Heated pool opens during daylight hours (sunrise to sunset). During our stay, the air temp is about 50°-72°; the water I'd guess is below 80°, which I enjoyed it tremendously. The little balcony over looking Washington Avenue is good place to have a nightcap and morning coffee. They provide coffee and tea in the morning in the lobby - termed it as breakfast (helllooooo!!), in lieu of coffee maker in the room. The bad: asked for an extra blanket that never came. I'd rather not to have turn the heat up. They called the following morning at 7:38am, and said will bring it up but never did. Telephone pad & mobile phone charging banks are dusty & dirty; and the USB ports are "unstable" (?) my phone keeps beeping, as if I just plug it in. Bathroom sink bowl is cracked. One of the facet is dirty. The silicone is moldy. Lotion pump and hand soap are not working well: either doesn't work; occasionally when the stars all aligned, it came out in force, splatters all over. Lounge chair paddings are disgusting on the rooftop. Valet parking is $45 per night with unlimited in and out privilege, with their app. But the guy also serves as bellhop. Saturday is a trying day. We waited for 20 minutes in the afternoon to leave. Returning at 11:30pm, we waited for another 20 minutes, with a few non hotel guests who have gone to the rooftop party. The staff at the front desk said he has three valets. As I was riding the elevator up, another staff asked how's everything, and said he's four valets working at the moment. Oh well. The following day, I went to the rooftop for my daily swim, cigarette butts are around the pool and papers are all over in the bathroom. I'd guess the cleaners have not arrived. One of the days, we returned to the room around 4pm, our room has not yet cleaned. Not that big of deal but it seems they're short on staff. Thinking back, we passed by the hotel on our way to Smith & Wollensky, so I thought to go in, to see if they could check us in. It was 2:20 and knowing the check in is 4pm. Nope, they didn't have a room ready, but could keep my carry on. In my little memory, this is the first hotel that didn't have a room to accommodate early arrival. "Oh, can I use the pool, while waiting for the room?" Although I was torn between a late lunch by the water and a swimming.  "No." So, they decided for me -:) So much for being their platinum member.

If you enjoy paying 5 star rates for about 1 or 2 star experience, then this your place! Spacious rooms-yes Accommodating and lovely staff-yes Nice Rooftop-yes (get there early though because seating is limited) Rooms need a severe refresh. Deplorable. Pics do not depict the way the rooms are. At least ours didn't. Furniture is stained, scuffed...As well as bathroom vanities, and floors.(from furniture bring dragged and paint splattered on the floor). Clogged sinks..Stained ceramics in bathroom. Caulking is stained and disgusting. Beside getting hit in th head after the shower rod falling off the wall while im taking a shower, and watching my step so I dont wipe out in the shower because the tiles do not have no slip on them...well im not sure what to say. Floor 3 needs a refresh. Even the carpets in the hallway are torn and worn. Im not one to complain, but after seeing the sink back up and the whitish stains on the couch , the experiencing the shower incident? I wanted to forewarn my fellow traveler.

From check in to check out, this place was just amazing and worth every penny staying here. It's in the heart of Miami Beach and around all the attractions. It's a street below the main strip which honestly you'll prefer being on Washington vs Collin's cause the traffic can be a nightmare. My cruise was cut short due to the hurricane so I spent my time here. The host up front was real friendly and helped navigate me around places I was looking for . Unfortunately chrome hearts didn't have what I needed so next time lol. But this place is amazing ! The rooftop! Ughhhhhhhhhhk! You take the elevator to the top floor where there's clean floors and a smell of just clean lol. And walk out the double door and waaaaalaaaa! Rooftop pool! Lots of shading! Great lounge house music and bartenders on standby. I really enjoyed it along with the cabanas . I actually had the Cuban sandwich here thinking about it ... that was also good. Just so much stuff I haven't covered but needless to say kimpton angler? I'll be back! See you soon Miami!

I love this place! I was invited by my friend as part of her OTH partnership so we enjoyed dinner on the house! It's right on Washington Ave so you can see the action. We were there early in the evening - around 6:30p so it was fairly light activity. I ordered a Paloma which was the perfect amount of tang and some chicken kabobs. The chicken was a little dry and could've used a sauce but nicely seasoned, the basmati rice was so good and the broccolini was crisThe ceviche had flavor with a great tasting octopus. Our server was nice and patient. Overall it was a cute girls night and the drive from Hollywood was worth it.

Another bug on the wall in the shower

I reserved a king poolside bungalow for 5 nights, upon arrival to our room (110) it was beautiful but had a terrible mildew smell downstairs. The upstairs smell wasn't so bad. The upstairs shower looks like it haven't been cleaned in months so we showered in the downstairs bathroom. The mildew smelled so bad that I remained upstairs, I asked to be moved to another room but was told that the hotel was full and no other room was available. 3 out of the 5 nights we were there the cable was out so no TV service at all. I dealt with the smell for 2 nights night 3 I held my breath walking through the living room but demanded to be moved because of the smell, we had reservations for dinner and I needed to shower but couldn't stand the smell of being downstairs and the upstairs shower was nasty but I'm about to run the hot water and clean it out to shower...... then boom, cock roaches/ water bugs start crawling out lthe drain... oh no time to go, they sent pest control to spray and I watched them grab toilet paper and catch bugs come out the drain. Even though the manager stated they never had that problem before ( rude). Another supervisor Jimmy very polite changed our room finally but it was barely clean i was tired of complaining at this point. I will never book again with them not worth the money we paid. Kicker.... we moved right across from 110 to 105. 110 had a terrible mildew smell and bugs and not even 30 minutes after they changed my room they moved another guest in that same room...(without even cleaning it) They nasty. No apologies were given

Pools: Closes at 6pm, no hot tub, one pool was very dirty with tons of leaves, rooftop pool had no ocean view. Location: Fun location, near South Beach. Definitely not as safe feeling as North or Mid Beach- close to Art Deco District. Citi Bike station nearby for easy transportation. Room: No microwave, tiny mini fridge full of stuff you have to buy if you want it (standard for hotel rooms) but no space to put anything you'd like to keep refrigerated. Definitely get a room with a mega bathtub- it's worth it. They have beach towels and a beach bag you can take with you to the ocean! Water refill stations on each floor and in the lobby. Asked for early check in but still ended up waiting until check-in time- I think they gave us a worse room since they were trying to expedite us to the soonest available. Staff: Friendly! Overall: A decent stay and we had a great time.

We love Angler's Hotel! It's our 4th stay, and our puppy's 3rd stay here. Gabriel and Jose at the front desk are the nicest ever! Justo at the pool is so kind and accommodating. We love it here and can't wait to come back!

What a wonderful little boutique hotel. A new line offered by IHG. Located approximately a block and a half from South Beach proper this cozy little hotel was wonderful as it was quiet and nicely appointed. The only drawback from our perspective was the absence of a coffee maker in our room however, the breakfast at the café made up for it in spades! The service was absolutely outstanding and would highly recommend that you check out this Hotel in your travels.

Very nice hotel and the lobby smells so inviting. The rooftop pool is nice but definitely get there early to get a lounge chair. They have 20% off food and drinks if you get a resort pass for the day. They have good options for drinks and food. The only thing missing is the music. So it's definitely more of a chill vibe but check them out.

What I liked: - only a few blocks from the beach. An easy walk - free bikes available to use. However, there are only a few bikes, so if you don't grab one early, they'll be gone. - the fruit infused water in the lobby - following some major complaints, the manager, Marcia, went out of her way to try to make it right. Unfortunately, I was over it by this point, but I appreciate her genuine concern. She provided 5-star customer service. What I didn't like: - I was put in the old section of the hotel, twice. I specifically requested to be in the newer, renovated section of the hotel but they lied and said the new section only had king beds (I needed 2 queen beds). I find it very hard to believe that an entire section of a hotel was added with only king beds. Enter eye roll here. - I got a weird rash on my arms during my second stay. It went away after I moved to the Hilton. - No full length mirror. The only mirror was the bathroom mirror. I mean, how are we supposed to check our outfits and make an informative decision? lbvs - room door will not shut completely on its own. You must physically close it all the way or risk an open door. Room 207 was like this and they put me in this room twice! A major safety risk - front door of lobby is not manual. You have to physically pull open the door, and it's a heavy door. If you travel with more than a backpack you may understand my frustration at this. Most of the front desk staff would just look at you struggling to get through the door. Who makes a hotel front door like this? If it was push, instead of pull, that would help a little. It really should be automatic though. What gives? - an employee at the front desk, who was BEYOND rude and horrid in EVERY way. Another employee said his name was Camilo, but I never confirmed that for myself. As mentioned earlier, I did bring my concerns to management's attention and Marcia took my concerns seriously. But he does not need to be a front of the house employee. He may not need to work with the public at all, based on my experience. - It wasn't the cleanest, but it wasn't the dirtiest either. The housekeeping lady had an attitude and expected me to keep a face towel after it dropped on the floor when she was handing it to me. She got visibly annoyed after I refused to keep this dirty towel. What on earth do they do when no one is watching?! This was extremely disturbing! - there is no fitness center in the hotel, BUT they have an arrangement with Orange Theory Fitness, which is about a 12 min walk (walking briskly) from the hotel. I actually liked this arrangement and enjoyed the classes at OTF. The downside is that you have to depend on the hotel front desk to put you on their list (there is limited class space due to COVID precautions) and the front desk often got busy and forgot to add me. - no free breakfast for Holiday Inn Spire Elite members (yes, this is a Holiday Inn property) I'm not saying that you should avoid this place, but it will not be my first, second, or third choice when I return to south beach.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff and assisted us to our room after an easy check-in. The room was smaller than expected for the rate, but the view and amenities made up for the size. Conveniently located near the beach and other fantastic eateries, especially the Ocean Grill at the Setai (gorgeous and highly recommended) restaurant. Also a short walk near Park Ave which has other amazing eateries and including cafe and bistro's. The grounds are well maintained with upscale vibe and decor. The lobby bar is cozy with a sexy vibe. My wife experienced the spa which she said was fabulous. Pool has plenty of chairs with umbrellas and staff were courteous, friendly and attentive. It also has some benefits to be a Marriott Bonvoy member which gave us some minor perks with bonus points on spend, complimentary wi-fi, mobile check in along with some property credits which we used for the spa and happy hour at the bar.

His tone was rude and completely unprofessional, even after I explained I had authorization. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and far below Marriott's standards. It ruined what should have been an enjoyable stay.

However since we paid tripple that price I have to be way more critical. The staff makes it extra special. They were all friendly and had the "I can do it for you attitude." Kudos to the staff. Our "up-graded" room facing half ocean/city was tiny, a tad worn, had a very nice view, and non impressive toiletrees. The worst part of our room was the side of the hotel we were on. Our room was on the industrial exhaust fans side and it was extremely noisy. Had to keep our balcony door closed to drown out the noise. The location of the hotel, as others mentioned is ideal. Now here is the scary part...we got stuck on the elevator two times. It wasn't a long time but enough to scare me especially since I am very claustrophobic. I ended up taking the stairs to the 9th floor the rest of our stay. They did fix the elevator but this happened to quite a few guests and they didn't shut the elevator. Our complimentary breakfast (free with my Marriott status) was not the best. Breakfast is served in the attached Mexican restaurant which is not owned by Marriott. It is not a buffet. Small menu with the basics. Food was fair. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach. The pool restaurant has the best hotdogs! And we also enjoyed the quinoa salad.

The rooms have been thoughtfully re-designed, but still have that cold Miami cinder block feel. In other words you won't do more than sleep in them. The pool area is fantastic with a bay view and plenty of chairs. Lido Grill, the main restaurant, is nicely done and people / pet friendly. Service was good, once you got their attention, which was on you, not them...we had the lobster, fairly priced at $39, but was like rubber and inedible. Sides were a throw away. Drinks were very good. Other points, nice mini bar in room, however NO coffee in room and coffee shop doesn't open until 7 AM. A regular room, facing back away from bay, dinner for 2, minor mini bar invasion (2 drinks) valet, was over $1100. Not worth the cost.

Today I attended a private brunch for work and I wanted to check two small bags at the front desk because I didn't want to take them into the brunch. I was told it would be five dollars for outside guests to check a bag. This is news to me. Never before have I been charged for this in the over 13 years that I've been going to this property. That isn't a luxurious experience nor is it up to standard, hotel guest or not. Service was polite outside of the charge. Food was average at best. A few hours later I attended another lunch at Bellini at the Mr. C hotel. I asked to check the same bags at their front desk. No charge. When I picked up my bags, they asked me how lunch was and if it was my first time at the property. Would I like some water to go (complimentary)? It was not my first time at Mr. C but this service is what I come to expect at a property of this nature. Not to be nickel and dimed for a basic service. This new experience paired with the fact that I was overcharged for drinks on my last visit to the standard (November) to which I called to rectify after realizing once I was home, I was told they would call me back and they never did. I'm soured on the whole property.

The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

We didn't even stay at the hotel, we simply had a Mother's Day brunch reservation at Hakkasan and dessert at Chez Bon Bon. What should have been a nice family outing turned into an absolute nightmare. When we went to valet to retrieve our car, the lobby was filled with angry guests sitting around waiting HOURS for their vehicles. People were openly saying they had been waiting 1-3 HOURS and some had even missed flights because valet couldn't deliver their cars. Seeing at least 50 frustrated people stranded there was complete chaos. At that point I started panicking. I had my 3 children with me, my elderly parents, and all of my baby's formula and diapers locked inside the car with no idea when we would ever get it back. Completely unacceptable for a luxury hotel that charges premium prices. It was also $58 to valet! Thank God I drive a Tesla because I opened the live camera and location tracking and immediately saw my car had been sitting in the exact same spot where I dropped it off over 2.5 hours earlier. When we walked to the vehicle ourselves, we found the inside completely ransacked. Items from my center console were thrown everywhere and the driver and passenger seats were covered in sweat. Clearly multiple employees had been sitting inside our vehicle. When my husband confronted them, they claimed they had "misplaced the key card" and were searching for it. Then when asked why the inside of the car was trashed, they actually tried to say it was already like that. Absolutely insulting. This completely destroyed any trust I had in the Fontainebleau. I don't care if valet is a "separate department" it is still YOUR property, YOUR staff, and YOUR responsibility. Guests should not have to fear waiting 1-3 hours for their cars, missing flights, or having employees rummage through their personal belongings because the hotel can't manage basic operations. I understand it was Mother's Day and maybe they were understaffed, but the complete lack of communication, organization, accountability, or even basic customer service was disgraceful. Not once did anyone proactively update guests, apologize properly, offer compensation, or even waive valet charges. For a place that markets itself as luxury, this experience was beyond embarrassing.
