I brought my 20-month-old Samoyed there for his first ever grooming last week. I have owned Sammys for the past 30+ years. This one has the thickest densest hair of any I have ever seen or owned. This was not going to be an easy project. The grooming team at Angel's Pet World worked on my pup for more than three hours and he looks fabulous! When I picked him up, my little guy was happy and seemed to really like his new friends at Angels Pet World. They charged me a very reasonable price, especially when considering the effort involved. Angel's Pet World is a great place - thumbs up! APW seems mostly dedicated to dog & cat stuff...food, accessories, and equipment. It's a big place. They have a huge variety of items. Don't come here for the big brand, cheap, large quantity foods though. I didn't find any bulk Purina dog foods or any cases of Friskies cat foods. So I guess you need to get those at Walmart, Target, or your local grocery store. They seem to have a little of everything...live rodents, Beta's, a few lizards, live insect feeders, fresh foods, and dog grooming - full service & self-service. The only things they don't have are live fish (except the Betas) and aquatics. The other big area I like about Angel's is cat adoption. There's a huge cat adoption area right up front. They're very serious about it. They also have a big display (in the entryway) of dogs that are up for adoption through local agencies. This is the kind of good-hearted thing that separates Angel's from the big box corporation pet stores. I had a chance to talk with Angel herself. I buy my dog and fish food from angels I have for a long time. I had questions for them today about how I can improve my dogs every day food and she was so informative and did everything she could to help! she ended up sending me home with some free goodies and helped me bring it all to my car. on top of that all the cashiers are always great every time. it's so nice going in there and always feel welcomed! read more

So as I get settled into my new community I have been going here a little more and the staff are opening up and coming out of their shell a bit. I discovered that not only can you pay to have your dog groomed here but they have a self service option for 15.00 and this is a good option for those of us that don't like to get our pup all stressed out and just do the work for less than half the cost. I enjoyed my last visit there and chatted it up a little with a few of the ladies and am finding I'm just a little more outgoing than most of the folks in this region and I'm going to have to be the first one to initiate the conversation even though they are in the sales position. It also help things along if you take your pet inside with you. My black lab had everybody swooning over him the day I took him for his bath....He loved it! read more

Angel's Pet World is the best pet store I have ever been to they have everything for every animal reptiles,birds, small animals you name it! They are always so friendly and have an amazing owner and unbelievable groomers if you're in Hudson I would highly recommend this store! read more

Drove 20 min to get dog food because I've always had good service there. Pulled in at 4:55 on a Sunday and the woman inside told me the registers were already closed. I'll do business with somewhere a little more consistent that values their customers a little more. read more

I took my cocker spaniel in to be groomed. We're not terribly picky on fashion but wanted her clean and de-furred for the summer. They did a great job at getting as much fur as possible off, taking off ticks, clipping nails, etc. She was so soft and smelled good! She's just our laid back family dog but she didn't seem too worried about anything. They called when she was done and when I came about an hour later she was napping in a kennel. I am never attempting to shave her myself again. SO worth the money. read more

I love supporting a small business vs. a big box pet store. They also support a local rescue.

Great selection of quality toys and treats, nice clean place. They have a nice cat pen up front and a play area up front that can be used for puppy meet and greets. Reasonable prices too. read more

This store was once a good store but they keep lowering Quantity and Raising Prices with no explanation ,no loyalty program sure they monopolize the high end pet food market in Hudson but not for long with a Bigger Better Local chain coming to town! read more

Angel and her staff have always been attentive when I come into the store. If they don't have what I need they will order it. Turn around time can vary but that is the nature of running a business dependent on others to deliver product. They have been great about frequent buyer program, supporting Cocos rescue service and discussing nutritional needs of my pets. I have tried the other chains in the area per the feedback below and I find Angels to be better for more options. read more

Couldn't believe how rude some of the workers are. A couple aren't bad but they lost my business due to the rude ones. Very offensive.

If you want a pet store that really cares about animals this is the place. They have self serve dog wash, kitty adoption center, dog training, grooming, plus everything else you could imagine for your pet. Although there were some whiners about high prices compared to big chains, remember small stores don't get the the kind of wholesale prices large chains do and i didn't see any prices that were higher than I pay in my home town and their selection is way better. As to anyone saying they are rude??? That was probably because that person was in there being rude and obnoxious, or maybe he just didn't understand what they were trying to tell him. I e never seen anyone in there have any issues and the staff has always been wonderful. They also do everything that they can to help the local area rescues, which means an awful lot! read more

Angel's sells high quality food. Their selection is great and they'll order you any other brand or flavor you want if you simply ask. Some might say their prices are "higher," but not if you're comparing apples to apples. A bag of the good stuff sells for the same or cheaper (especially if you use one of their coupons... and they accept manufacturer's coupons, of course) than the same bag at Petsmart, Petco, or Chuck and Don's. Their groomer, Jennifer, is amazing. I figured a groomer is a groomer. Not so. Finally, they truly care about animals and their customers. Angel's used to sell puppies; they stopped this several years ago. If that doesn't speak to their commitment to animals over profit, I don't know what does. They now have different rescues in on weekends. Their new place has a space for training too. Now, if they can get in Char from Pawsitive... that would be icing on the cake. I write this review because I hear Chuck and Don's is coming to town. I encourage you to continue shopping or begin shopping at Angel's. It's a small town business and run that way. read more

The staff is great and totally dedicated to helping their customers and their pets. Just spent 30 minutes with a member of their staff as they helped me pick out the perfect aquarium and a new pet food. They also work closely with Coco's Heart Rescue and other nonprofits making life better for less fortunate animals. I always find the staff friendly and eager to help. Thanks, Angels!! read more
