    I recently went to Palm Beach Tan to purchase a one-month membership and some lotion so I could get…read morea basic tan before our wedding in April. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and felt very misleading. The products were advertised as 50% off, but that discount only applied if you bundled and bought multiple items. When you actually do the math, it comes out to essentially the same price as buying a single product at regular cost. That should be clearly explained upfront and not advertised as 50% off all products. I was also told the monthly membership and products would be $89 total. After agreeing to the $89, I inserted my card. Before tanning, I checked my bank account and saw I was charged $109. When I asked why it jumped from $89 to $109, I was told it was "tax." That would be roughly a 22% tax, which is clearly inaccurate. There was no transparent breakdown shown before charging my card. Today is March 4, so I assumed (as anyone would) that a monthly membership would run until April 4. Instead, I was told it would only last until April 1, which makes no sense for a "monthly" membership. When I requested a refund, the two employees at the desk told me they couldn't process one because their manager was in a meeting. When I asked them to call her, suddenly she was available. One employee went into the back to speak to her, then came back out and tried to upsell me to an even higher premier membership with what I just paid instead of simply refunding my money. The lack of transparency, inconsistent information, and pushy sales tactics were extremely frustrating. I would highly recommend asking for a full price breakdown, confirming exact membership dates, and requesting a receipt before swiping your card. I truly hope I receive my refund.

No terms & conditions were shown to me or provided to me in writing. Brianna made me sign something electronically which I shouldn't have done because she didn't tell me what it was. After waiting an hour for my appointment, Brianna then said they couldn't provide the treatment because their equipment wasn't working and she didn't know what to do, so I left stating I wanted a refund. Way too many negatives in my first experience with this place to want to do business with them. Brianna said she would call me back by the end of the day but didn't. When I called her back because I didn't receive a call back from her, she told me the manager would call me back but she said she had no idea when that would happen. Now the store isn't answering my calls. If the issue is resolved, I will update my review to reflect that.

I was excited to join her because I could really use some relaxation. The massage chair did just the trick. They have a new AI option where the chair scans your body and focuses on the areas as you need. I've had plenty of massages and you can tell when your body is released some of the toxins and this chair definitely did that. We loved using the salt room since we came together. We were allowed to share it so we got to catch up and have some much-needed girl time. The red light bed runs for 15 minutes and I'm pretty sure I may have fallen asleep for a little haha. My mom did a foot detox at the end and I can't tell you how surprised we both were. The water went from clear to a mucky Brown with a layer of sludge on top. So gross and satisfying! The staff here is really awesome. They were super helpful and accommodating and not pushy at all about joining. My birthday is coming up in August and I'm hoping my husband will give me a membership. Fingers crossed! Either way, I'm sure I will stop by in the future.

No goggles, no towels- just bare bones minimum. Anywhoooo... the real trouble starts when you try to cancel. I called the Buckeye location 18 times on 10/3/2025 to let them know after years of loyal patronage with Club Tan I would not be continuing with Tru Tan. No one ever answered, I started calling the East Valley locations and they said they would have them call me. I finally FB messaged them that I would be terminating my services and to call me if they needed anything additional. Again- no call. I started getting texts with payment links that I was past due and to click "here" to get back on track. I responded to every single text reminding them that I had terminated services. I went in 2 different times in person to get this resolved. The first time the young girl said she'd have someone call me- shocker did not happen. The second time the girl told me it was "mandatory" to email cancellations@trutan.com- I wrote it down , came home and emailed them on 11/1/2025- it bounced... I finally blocked their texts from 480-680-9542 because they had already responded to my FB message cancelling saying someone would "be in touch" imagine my surprise and disgust when I just rec'd a collection notice. I have a nearly perfect credit score and pay my debts I just don't pay unscrupulous businesses that I DO NOT OWE MONEY TO. If you look at their East Valley reviews this seems to be a common issue. I was so disgusted with them trying to extort money where it is not owed that I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General for fraudulent business practices. Notice my contract states a cancellation must be in writing/ that was satisfied on 10/3rd with my date and time stamped cancellation message that they responded to. So gross to do business this way, they must really need the money I guess. Save yourself the trouble and do not get started here you'll be paying long after you cancel. I emailed Stephanie Hall the Regional manager with all of this information and her response was that I could "resolve it with the Collection agency" talk about shady- she has a copy of the date/time stamped written notice on FB Messenger.

I walk in here regularly feeling like a bronzed goddess in the making. Except... Macie. Picture this: I come in ready to vibe, tan, and get my bronze on. I open the door and greet her with a happy "Hey!" and in return I'm greeted with the enthusiasm of a wet piece of toilet paper which has been stuck to the bottom of your shoe for the last 3 hours, unbeknownst to you. Maybe she's having a bad day...? No biggie. But from the moment I stepped in, she had a facial expression like she was smelling invisible dog PEWP . Permanently. Like it was her natural resting state. The stank on her stank face... was stanky. Nevertheless, I say "Hey!" As I always do, She didn't even acknowledge me. No smile. No "hi." Not even a head nod. Just pure, unfiltered "why are you here ruining my life" energy. She asks for my name. Cool. I spell it (as one does when you share a similar name with another customer). "J-E-P-H-S-O-N". She types it in and suddenly perks up just enough to mumble something that sounded like "spray tan" which immediately short-circuited my brain because I have NEVER gotten a spray tan in my life. She said, "Looks like I'm on a spray tan streak." So I ask for clarification. "Wait, whose spray tan? Yours???" And I swear, the way she SLOWLY turned her head toward me... The look she gave me could curdle milk. You would've thought I had personally insulted her entire bloodline and a few family pets. Then, in the most condescending tone I've ever heard from someone who works in customer service, she goes: "YOUR spray tan? The spray tan that YOU'RE here for?" (She should've said "duh" at the end of it cause that's how bad it was). Ma'am. What. She continues. Still annoyed, still acting like I'm ruining her day by existing: "Are you not JEPSON here for a spray tan? J-E-P-S-O-N?" I have never in my life been spoken to like I don't know my own name AND simultaneously been told how to spell it incorrectly in the same sentence. The math is not mathing. A talent, really. Her attitude had the texture of someone scraping a fork across a plate. I politely correct her (because one of us had to be the adult), tell her I use the beds, never spray tans. She rolls her eyes. ROLLS. THEM. And types some more. At this point, I'm trying to figure out how to not get banned from my favorite tanning salon. BECAUSE WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO LIKE THAT. Then she hits me with the nastiest side-eye I've ever experienced and goes, "And you really want bed 7... for 7 minutes... again?" Yes, babe. I do. I'm consistent. God forbid. "Yes " ... still disgusted with my presence, she says "It's. Ready." I say thank you and politely ask for a few extra minutes to put lotion on and she gives me a glare so intense I momentarily wondered if she was trying to communicate telepathically...or curse me. "It's. Ready." Oh! Okay then! My apologies for... asking a normal question at a business? Listen... this location is amazing. The manager and most of the girls are wonderful. I've genuinely enjoyed tanning here for over a year or so. I could've brushed it off as Macie having a bad day... I give grace as often as I can. But to be so beyond fu**ing rude and belittling over something so little is just... beyond me. If customer service were a tan, she'd be streaky, orange, and patchy as hell... and that's me being generous. She needs to sit in a dark room, think about her behavior, and maybe Google "basic human decency". I HATE to be that person (cause it's annoying and overplayed) but if I wasn't a customer here for as long as I have been, I would've canceled my membership right then and there. Life is way too short to spend money in places with RUDE people like that. Shame on you Macie and the way you speak to people. Shame on your cow. Hold yourself to a higher standard.
