Formerly a food court favorite and now a traveling food cart attending foodie events around the DFW area (check their Instagram), the husband & wife owner of Angel Touch Kitchen serve 100% halal, authentic Indonesian food to a city that desperately needed it. Service is just about the best here, it's not hoity-toity fancy table service but it's good family treatment. They'll ask you what you like, what looks familiar, if you want to try and order more, if you want extra sauce and for us, even offered free drinks. They're extremely sweet and care for their customers. Even if I didn't have a generally unsatisfied itch for delicious IndoMalay cuisine, this place would hit the spot. If you've ever seen a food reviewer overuse the word 'Umami', now would be that time. Their Nasi Lemak is a classic, Mie Goreng scrumptious and Cendol refreshing. The only thing we haven't been into was the Mie Ayam which was moreso because it's *just* chicken noodle soup to us. A lot of sambal helped that though. From food court to food cart, it's well worth following their journey and supporting this wonderful business. Highly recommended! read more

My first time eating Indonesian Food and it did not disappoint at all!! A family owned place that has delicious authentic food with excellent service to pair. The young girl at the register was very kind to explain everything on the menu to me since it was my first time having Indonesian food! I got the Nasi Bungkus, Nasi Goreng, and Noodles (that I can't remember the name of)! The Nasi Bungkus was packed with chicken, rice, beef, egg and chili pepper wrapped in banana leaf. It was delicious as each separate part and even better when you have all in one bite! The Nasi goreng was delicious as well, with a slight sweet kick to the fried rice. The noodles were handmade and left long, which is the best! Can't wait to come back and try more! Definitely check this place out and support a great family business! read more

During our trip to Dallas, we saw Angel Touch Kitchen on Yelp and decided to stop by. We met a very nice guy at the shop but he informed us they closed on Sunday and Monday. He then gave us 3 jasmine tea and free chips and profusely apologized for the inconvenience. One of the best Indonesian food in the area. The flavor profiles of the dishes are pretty authentic. A little bit on the expensive side but totally understandable since great Indonesian food takes so much time to prepare. My favorite is their Nasi Bungkus because you get a little bit of everything & also the Soto Ayam that is a bit too salty but when served boiling hot with a serving of white rice, that's just how it tasted back home. The downside is when kitchen is slammed with orders and shortage of staff, then food quality is inconsistent. But that's a common problem. read more

Angel Touch has been providing a pop-up lunch service at our office a couple of times, and the food is fantastic. I've gotten the Stewed Beef (Semur Daging) each time and can't get enough. I come they come back to our work cafeteria many more times, and if they ever open a permanent place in the McKinney or Frisco area, I will be there! read more

Love the food here! My friend from Singapore is always raving about the cuisine there so I figured I had to try out some of the Indonesian food he loves. The owner here was wonderful and very welcoming in explaining what the different foods were. I tried out the sate ayam (with a peanut sauce, fish chips, and cucumber) and also the nasi rames with rendang (~$30 pretip, split between 2 people). Since the place was closing up for 5 PM, they even let me try out a piece of Ayam Goreng Kuning (Turmeric Fried Chicken) - the meat literally melted in my mouth, and the yellow-sauce it was cooked in that paired very, very well with the garlic rice (yeah, I could seriously eat that combination for a meal alone). Beef rendang was little bit dry but was otherwise very tasty (and reminded me of a similar dish I have had before, called fessenjan, a Persian pomegranate and walnut dish that shared similar sweet-tangy flavors). I was also pleased with the pickled cucumber/carrot mixture and twice fried egg that offered corresponding mild/sharp flavors for me to enjoy with my other dishes. As for the sate ayam, the peanut sauce (which I didn't realize was a sauce) was an excellent mix of sweet, savoury, and creamy bay-leaf infused dipping sauce for the cucumber/lontong/well-marinated chicken-skewers, and I will definitely be ordering that dish again. I would love to come back and I am glad to be able to write a review for a place I genuinely loved after having had a hiatus from reviewing places. read more

Very good Indonesian food located in the food court at Oh! Market in Carrollton. The food is flavored perfectly and we enjoyed everything. The employees are also so welcoming and we had some great conversations. The only thing holding this back from a 5 star is that the price seemed a bit high for what we had ordered. This is a fantastic place to try Indonesian food. I had Soto Ayam which is a chicken soup with noodles, cabbage, and egg plus other goodies. It was fantastic and I will be back. Owner is super duper nice. We ordered chicken noodle, ayam geprek (fried chicken) and nasi padang (rice with beef rendang, kale soup and spicy boiled egg), all were fresh and delicious. Noodle was homemade. If you drive, you need to park between Tous Le Jour and building 4060 and enter from the door across Tous Le Jour.
