When I had my nails done at this place it was horrendous. After the removal of the nail polish she used an electric file on my nails. It went so deep that my nails split to the point that I have to use band aides to protect my nail I went to the owner and was given no satisfaction at all. I am not a frequent review leaver but I had such an incredible experience at this spot I felt it was necessary to post as I almost didn't go there thanks to bad comments. I drive to NYC every two weeks to get my nails done so that tells you how picky I am. They "nailed" it! And they have hard UV gel and as far as I know the only place in the Hamptons that does. Kim is a technician with decades of experience and she did my nails fast and perfect. Lol honestly I did this to myself considering my first experience. Manicure fine, I just did regular polish and it was expensive but fine. I also got my eyebrows waxed which the first time they did a good job so I thought how bad could they mess it up. When she got done with my eyebrows I noticed the left one was barely even waxed but the right one looked nice and shaped. I asked her to fix it and she refused and told me I can fix it with makeup. I normally don't say anything and just suck it up but it's so expensive and they obviously were not done properly. I just don't understand why she couldn't fix it and why my right eyebrow looks so good and my left looks awful? I also asked if someone could fix it and I apologized but it just wasn't cleaned up and they went to fix it but fixed my right eyebrow not the left. I am 60 and the first negative review I have ever written here. The worst manicure I have ever had and edges started to peel away a few hours later, polish on my cuticles and charged $20. They were rude, disrespectful, aggressive and acted as if I was wasting their time. She filed my nails down so that they were paper thin, the design was awful and nothing like the picture I had shared, someone went around giving massages to clients and did not disclose it was not complimentary and I paid over $150 for a terrible experience lasting over an hour. Terrible experience. I went with four other people, since we were a large group we called in advance to make an appointment. The call was already a bad sign, the man hung up on us mid-sentance. We showed up at the time of our appointment. They took one person to the pedicure chair and she started, in the middle of hers the rest of us sat down and we were waiting in the chairs for at least 20 minutes before our manicures started. I got a regular manicure, all they did was file my nails and paint them. My sister was getting a pedicure and she asked for a back massage many times but was ignored until our mother said something. The people working there were extremely rude and continued to ignore our questions, my other sister had to ask where the bathroom was 6 times until the man would even look in her direction, and had to ask again for him to respond. The man in the front did not let us give the tips directly to the women who did our nails, we are very concerned that they are not receiving the tips. Ok sure, the place is kind of a dump - but it is really hard to find a fast, clean Brazilian wax that can take you same day. The woman who performed my service was nice, quick, and as painless as possible considering the service rendered. If you're looking for experience or ambiance, this is not the place for you, but if you are looking to get the work done quickly and properly, I highly recommend it. Used to be pretty hit or miss, but it's clear that they have started going extra lengths to hire people who actually know what they are doing. The prices are incredible, definitely the cheapest mani/pedi in the Hamptons. The quality isn't always top notch, but I usually don't have any complaints. They seem to be good with disinfecting, they have one of those fridge-like things with the blue lights and as many times as I've been here, I've never gotten an infection of any kind. Cheap waxing, as well. They do a great job with eyebrows and I don't feel guilty getting it done as needed because it's so affordable. My best friend feels as though they treat her poorly because she's Asian. I don't understand this because all of the people who work there are Asian, as well... I didn't really know what to really ask for because I was new to getting tips put on but the lady helped me very well. Her name was Coco. She was very gentle. I never go to any other salon except Maggie's in Hampton bays, however my 2 jobs were in bridge and I had one hour in between and decided to splurge on a "Hamptons pedicure" (my Maggie's gel pedi is $40 and lasts an hour with a scrub and massage etc) HERE I spent $45 on a 15 min regular pedicure..15min!!!! My feet were not soaked, they barely hit the cuticles and polish job was below average in quality (light pink color where normally they'll go over 3 times in the big toe no not see the imperfections) I asked them why my feet weren't soaked, he said "it's summer" whatever that meant...they were not busy at all. NEVER AGAIN will I ever be so desperate for a pedicure!!! $45 in 15min!!! read more

I have come to this salon many times in the past and I've never had such a horrible experience as I did my last visit. The lady Coco was YELLING at me she would not let me get what I wanted and kept saying "Jesus" while saying it was my fault when she simply wouldn't listen to me, she was yelling at me for 40 minutes and the salon later switched me to a different set of people and they still didn't do what I asked them for. They were rushing my nails the whole time and kept cutting my actual finger as they were brushing so aggressively without care, and then over charged me $90 and I come every few weeks and have never paid this much money. I would not recommend coming here unless you want to be treated poorly and additional when I did pay them, the front desk lady asked me if I was going to give them more money. This is the first time I have ever written a Yelp review but I must warn everyone...Do not go to this Nail Salon. I made a 3:00 pm appointment for a mani/pedi. When I asked the cost I was told that it was going to be $60. Thought that was a lot considering I pay $37 for the same kind of service in Manhattan but I thought ok, prices are up because of Covid and it is the Hamptons. Got there exactly at 3:00 pm for my appointment and was completely ignored by the woman running the front. I finally picked out my polish color and still was ignored. After taking 2 other people ahead of me (not sure if they had appointments or not) at 3:20 pm I asked how much longer it would be. She pointed to a pedicure station and told me to sit there. It was filthy dirty so I got up and told her. She told me to sit in another one. This one was cleaner but still not that clean. At 3:35 pm not 1 person had come to start my pedicure nor did the person running the place ever say one word to me. I finally left. The whole experience was inexcusable and a total waste of my time. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!! Angel Tips is hands down the worst nail salon I have ever been to in my life. To start, a fill for acrylics was 85 dollars, and the results were horrible. My nails looks like bubbles and one nail has already fallen off. It has not even been 24 hours. I definitely suggest to not go to Coco if you even choose to go to this place. Also, I am pretty sure they attempted to steal my credit card information because the "credit card machine wasn't working", so they asked to write my information down from my credit card. Obviously I was not okay with that, and magically it worked as soon as I was not comfortable with them writing my credit card information down. As a licensed nail tech in 2 states I can state without doubt that the sanitation practices are deplorable! I watched tech after tech scrub dead skin off the bottoms of feet and then place the foot file in a UV caddie without rinsing or scrubbing them. All instruments must be scrubbed with soap and hot water till all debris visible to the eye is gone before placing in sanitation. My technician ignored my needs and followed a generic routine that left my feet still in need. I couldn't help but notice that everyone seemed unhappy. Were they being paid and treated properly? This matters to me. The one star was for the massage which was very good, but watching each tech set a timer was rather cold. I paid $49.00 for a service that lasted 30 minutes. Anyone who thinks Salon Xavier is overpriced, but will come here is not paying attention! You get 60 minutes for $55.00 at X. You do the math. read more
