Absolutely love Dr. Yip and all the staff here! They are so kind to us and always willing to ask questions for us so we don't end up coming in over something trivial! All the staff are sweet and so generous giving my toddler snacks and stickers, etc.! Dr. Yip takes his time during every single appointment and answers every question with full explanations and provides paper information at every appointment as to what milestones we may or may not see until the next appointment. I am from the Midwest where the doctors and offices are like this and I was starting to think no one here cared. I'm so thankful we found this place and this amazing team for my children! I don't know why this office has 3 stars. The woman that answered my phone call was absolutely lovely. She created a profile for me with ease and guided me towards my first visit perfectly! The actual visit was a breeze and uplifting. No one guilted or pressured me when I stated against vaccinations and NP Vicki was a super kind, realistic person to talk to about my concerns with my son. Moral of the story, highly recommend this pediatric office! As someone who has moved around a bit, this is my favorite one of ever been to. read more

Had our first experience with this office and so far from the first phone call to the first visit, it's all been a really good experience so far. I first called to establish my child as a pt. Alyssa on the phone was absolutely wonderful. Super sweet and patient with all my questions. Helped explain the process for me and what to do. Highly recommend her! Had to come in for a sick visit and was seen that morning. They have two entrances - one for well kids and one for sick kids. The wait was not long at all to be put into a waiting room or to be seen by the Dr. I thought we'd get seen by a nurse or a PA but we got seen by Dr. Rosenthal. She was super sweet, funny and great with my child. Really helpful and patient and spent a good amount of time with us. We didn't feel rushed at all. The only thing I thought could be better would be to make the waiting room and patient rooms a little more kid-friendly with something as simple as more wall decals. It would help the kids be more comfortable and less scared when they first get there. The waiting room was like an adult one - plain walls and nothing fun for them. The patient room we got was the same way (we did see one that had some decorations). My kid was looking forward to a themed room like her old Dr. Minor but just prepare your kids if it's the first time. Overall though, Between all the staff that has answered the phone, been at the front, and the back office, good experience so far! read more

If you want your kids healthy and safe, to be given the best possible care in anthem.. Then I beg of you, don't take your kids to this office. If you want a Drs. office where they take your money, give your kids wrong diagnosis, staff has NO clue what they are doing, they make you feel like a NEW Patient every time you are in the office. Their Drs. have to research your child's symptoms. Pls take your kids to this horrible place. save Your children and sanity, take them somewhere else. Everytime Im in the office I have a new staff helping me.. they are clueless, they misdiagnosis your child, money hungry, they can't do simple tasks like weigh your child or take height. they have to call you at home and ask you to do it the list goes on... happy hunting for a good Pediatrician read more

I called a month ago to prepare for my newborn daughter and was assured that everything would be set for her arrival and I needed to call when she was born to be on the newborn block schedule. I was released at 8pm with a billi blanket and told to follow up with my pediatrician the next morning to have her levels drawn. I called right at 8am opening and was told that the Doctor decided to retire and no longer was accepting new patients. I stated the importance of this appointment at least for a blood draw for her levels as she's on light therapy, and even told them I had called already and was assured she would be seen. I was essentially told too bad, we just found out a week ago but that I should "try again after the new year". Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. I'm making the drive to a pediatrician who was able to get me in within an hour based on her situation and was accommodating and flexible. read more

If I could give 0, I would. This practice refused to send my children's medical records to their new provider because of an unpaid bill. Now, the bill is because of their issue with insurance. They denied and then told me I was threatening them when so told them it was against the law (HIPAA). When I said, what's the bill, I'll pay it, they said they couldn't take the payment!!!! This is so illegal and clearly children and patients are not of interest as $$ seems to be their only care!!! NEVER TAKE YOUR CHIlDREN HERE!! I'm having to file a complaint with DES! read more

My twin boys have been seeing Dr. Yippee since they were babies...and he has been nothing but incredible. He doesn't rush you out of the office, and he takes the time to answer every question you have. he's always in a very positive mood and truly is wanting the best for your child. One of my twins has had a lot of medical issues, but that doesn't stop him from cutting our appointment short or not knowing the answer to any question. His recommendations are just as outstanding, too for therapies outside of the office. The office staff is outstanding and friendly and always get you in. I would never take my kids anywhere else! Love dr yip and he's amazing with kids but boy does the office here lack communication skills. I was in there 5 days before our daughter was born for our sons well visit. They said it would be absolutely NO problem to get our newborn in. Even said that at the visit prior to this one too. Then I called for our daughter and they said they were not taking new patients despite our son being established here. Ok.... then I called again after our daughter was diagnosed with a rare genetics condition from the newborn screening. Still no help but assured me that they would take her in the new year. Ok.... it's the new year and I called today all excited to get her in and yet again BAD COMMUNICATION. So yes... they will take her SOMETIME this year but no time frame on when that'll be. Could be this next month. Could be 6+ months. Who knows. So now I'm sitting here screwed because I changed her provider with the insurance and can't change again for 30 days. Thanks a lot to very very poor office communications. I would give them the benefit of the doubt and bear some of the responsibility for this if I hadn't asked very point blank questions for the last month and them giving blanketed and misleading answers such as "we can take her in the new year" when they didn't actually plan on being able to take her. Unfortunately this whole thing is enough for us to take both kids to someone new. Still a couple stars because we do love dr yip here but until the office staff improves in many ways, we will have to walk away. Very disappointing. read more

The bases of how this office has decided to present themselves says it all! My children have seen Dr Yip since birth 9+ years. He has always been great to us but the foundation and culture that the office now portrays is disgusting. We have insurance & no outstanding bills. I had a mix up with my HSA card and while my son cried in pain in the lobby they refused service over $62. Today I spoke to Maria and was scolded for using a f bomb in their office and upsetting other patients. I was told their job is to collect payment. You decide if this is the way you want to be treated by an office thats number one priority should be helping your children. We will not be returning. read more

Weird people are mad about a practice not accepting new patients. That happens periodically. Actually a lot of practices aren't accepting new patients right now. There's been huge staffing shortages since Covid. I've been going here for years. Nobody is rude and I've never had a billing issue. I highly recommend. read more

Awesome practice with super nice staff. Our newborn had an urgent issue on a Friday night at 4:30 on the day we were released from the hospital, and Lauree and several staff members stayed late to make sure she got seen. We are so glad we chose this practice for our baby's care. read more

We love going up to Anthem when we visit Phoenix since my children spent most of their childhood here. One of my kids had a lingering cough that was exasperated and needed treatment right away. I called Angel Pediatrics and they were able to get me in the same day with no wait time. Although Dr. Jackson is no longer here, we did see another doctor who was quick to offer immediate medications. It was nice to go back to our familiar doctor's office where they had all of our records. Friendly staff too, but if I were to move back to Arizona I would seek out Dr. J. read more

every time we come in we are given a nurse practitioner, rather then a doctor n NEVER given any real answers to what is wrong, getting references is like pulling teeth around here too. if you'd like answers to what is wrong with your child, i suggest bringing your children elsewhere. read more

We have been going to Angel Pediatrics since we moved to Anthem. They have been pleasant but it always seems like we need to convince them that our kids are sick to get the care we need. We just came from Africa and my son had a fever for three nights (Friday to Monday) that was unresolved with around the clock tylenol. He had other symptoms as well and I suspected malaria . On Monday I took him to Angel Pediatrics. We saw Elizabeth Rattle (Liz). She said the flu is going around and it will resolve. He was negative for flu at the office. I told her I suspected malaria because of the tremors and the fever pattern and we should get labs drawn. My son was miserable. She said unless he has abdominal symptoms, I do not need to worry and that she would not know what to collect. On Tuesday he was worse, I called Liz and she said keep him home and continue with tylenol. Wednesday he was burning up and this time with abdominal symptoms. Liz said she has consulted with other physicians in the practice and does not think it is malaria. I insisted that we need to test and she said ride it out until Friday. My son was not eating, his fevers were 103 or higher when the tylenol wore off, he was shivering, had chills and could not get out of bed due to fatigue. I told her Friday would be a week of unresolved fevers. This is a patient who has traveled to Africa and has huge mosquito bites. She told me to give tylenol and that there have been many kids with 103 fever in her office. She further pissed me off by saying honestly he looked fine. Well after I got off the phone, my son was 104.7 and this was two hours after his tylenol dose. We rushed him to Banner Thunderbird and told the doctors our history. He was admitted to the pediatric ICU for severe malaria. It was scary. He spent 4 nights on IV anti malarial therapy. This had to be reported to the CDC who provided guidance on medication and dosages. The medication itself was not even in house and had to be shipped to Thunderbird since this does not occur frequently in the United States. The worst is I made the call to Liz to update her on Thursday. I did not receive an apology nor did she admit that she did miss the diagnosis. Now I am a nurse, and I know that sometimes doctors cannot admit fault for legal reasons. But I would have appreciated acknowledgement that things could have been handled differently. I would NOT recommend Angel Pediatrics. read more

Dr. Santos is personable with my pre-teen daughter, informative, and patiently answers my questions. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating for quick administrative requests (appt.,scheduling, records, etc.). The office is clean. The office is kid-friendly, without being over the top. I don't think an online patient portal exists for this office, but would like one for minor inquiries/references customized for my kids. read more

Dr. Yip is the best pediatrician a parent can ask for. He is patient and enjoys answering all your questions. He doesn't get in and out so quickly your head spins like other doctors. He takes his time and is willing to talk to you. You can tell he loves children and is such a happy person in general. Amazing :) read more

I went in because my daughter was having issues with possibly a yeast infection. I felt like I was rushed out after paying my $35 copay and we still didn't get to the bottom of it (pun intended). They prescribed her antibiotics and I called back when the results came back. The nurse was using these big words like I was a doctor. So annoying. I doubt we go back. read more

We will not be going back there. Dr. Santos does not have children so it's hard for her to relate to giving advice. When I bring my sick child in for a visit, you'll have to do more than just lean against the door with a clipboard in your hand. I don't recommend Angel Pediatrics to anyone! read more
