It was fun to watch and only one person at nail spa can do it. So she asked me if it is ok for her to show her colleagues how to do the foil nails. I actually enjoyed and loved my nails they did for us. Thank you for amazing experience and I would recommend you all to go there if you all want to do foil nails. It's beautiful!!!

They had a nice selection of gel colors, but they displayed them differently than most salons I've been to. They painted the color onto the top of the bottle instead of having nail examples. I didn't like that! It was hard to imagine what the color would actually look like on my nails. We started with the pedicure. When the other technician was done with the other customer, she started on my manicure. It took just one hour to get the services done, which for me is pretty fast. Both of the technicians did a great job. The one complaint I have is that once the second technician started working on my nails, the two started talking to each other for a long time. It was pretty weird. I've never had nail techs talk to each other over me. Besides that annoyance, I had a good experience here. I'll be going back again.

She ensured my ingrown nails were out. She asked if it was ok and I replied yes, knowing the nail was still in my toe she proceeded to get it out, even though I told her it was ok. She didn't miss the sides of the nails as most shops do. Will definitely be back. The other artists also seemed to work in sync with one another as the fan was uncomfortably blowing on me and she came over and shut it off! Great Service! The girl that took care of me was Seline!

I walked in one day but was told to come back another time as there were several people ahead of me - which was fine I was easily able to make an appointment for the next day. Crystal was very nice - I chose my gel color and pedicure color that I liked. Somewhat decent selection of gels and regular colors - but I have seen better in the area. The massage chairs are comfy and there are a few magazines to look at. She was playing a movie on the TV in the background. The pedicure was average - minimal massage, barely any time spent on callous scrubbing. She cut a small area on skin on one of my toes. I am unsure what brand top coat she is using but the top coat was poor, almost matte. My manicure was average as well - but she then cut the side of my finger as well - and was bleeding forever. I do my own gel manicures often and thought that getting it professionally done might be nice for a change - but not here. She was using the base coat on the side of my finger that was still bleeding and then putting it back into the bottle for the next customers - which could've still had some blood on it. She did wipe the area with alcohol but still should never have placed that brush on my nail while still bleeding. I probably should have left at that point - but let her finish. So I left with the color on multiple nail cuticles and I was so unimpressed. She did offer to redo the finger that was bleeding within a few days should it not set well. I took a picture of the chipping that I was already having after day 5. She was very friendly but I was generally so unimpressed, I would never return. Much better options in the area.

The first time in 3 weeks ago, Lucky did my nails. I had a nail take off and full set. He did a good job. The nail tech Caly that was in the station next to him did some beautiful sets on a couple ladies. I loved their nails so much I had made my next appointment with her. I love the vibe of this salon - super bright, trendy, and conveniently located in the Village Gate Plaza. The website answers any and all questions about your cut, color, or wax in advance, with a demystifying FAQ page and a full before and after care list. My service was ~30 minutes long and I felt totally comfortable for the duration. Nitty Gritty goes out of their way to ensure their salon is an LGBTQ+ safe space - there's specific information on waxing if you're transitioning, an ask for pronouns at the time of registration, and a truly welcoming atmosphere for all. This alone will keep me coming back and supporting, but the fact that the service is so top notch is a nice added bonus. The reviews don't lie, Nitty Gritty is the best. The machine message stated she moved to a new location right next door to the old and instead of land line you could call or text for an appointment, yet she fails to indicate if it's a new number & if so what that number is. A few hours later, I try calling again, this time a woman answers. I begin by explaining I called earlier that morning, left a message - she cuts me off. I then ask if she could hear me ok because I was in the middle of talking to her- she said yes she could hear me fine what could she do for me. I proceed by finishing what I was getting to before she cut me off and that was asking if they had a different number to try based on her machine message for future reference - she cuts me off again basically saying what does it matter I was talking to her now. I replied - wow, just forget it. This woman was so rude and beyond unprofessional. She should be ashamed of herself as a person and if she was the owner. How about a little bit of manners and courtesy to people and potential customers? If you call this place or decide to them, be forewarned, they may be mean to you.
