I wanted to get a dip powder for starting my next assignment and not have to worry about getting it during the week. I looked around the area and couldn't finding too many higher rated salons that had dip powders. I widened my search area and found Angel Nails & Spa. Originally, I was going to call 1) to make sure they did do dip powders, 2) how they finished their dip powders (more on that later), and 3.) to make an appointments. I found their website on here this amazing website/app called Yelp. Ever heard of it? It's great! I was able to look at their services right on their website, but didn't have prices. No worries, maybe it was posted in the photos sections. It's not. I was too late at night to call so I just made the appointment anyway. To make an appointment, you can see a list of their nail specialist, their specialty, and then make an appointment right there on the website. That is definitely a plus in my book! I've read many greats reviews about Tina, but she wasn't available for a while so I booked with Lynn and she was wonderful! I was greeted by her when I walked in. It was a few minutes before she could take me because they do take walk ins and the other 6ish workers there were all working. I didn't mean as I do take some time trying to pick a color. They have a huge variety of colors, ombre, glitter, different hues, everything! Another plus goes in the book. I was seated at her station and she got to work right away. Lynn was a delight to work with. She was attentive to detail, asking what shape I would like (I've experienced with some places don't bother asking), and efficient. Overall, it took about 45 minutes which is on the quicker side of getting the dip powder, but I was not complaining. For a single dip powder color was $45 for cash, and if you pay debit/credit, it's an extra $1 the surcharge from the companies. I didn't mind and I gave her a good tip because she was wonderful and how she finished my nails was great! I've had in the past, salons would finish my dip powder with a gel or shellac coating using the UV dryers. I have a family history of skin issues and I tanned many years ago so I don't want any extra exposure regardless how small of an amount of it is. My bigger issue with gel/shellac polish is I'm a nurse so I'm constantly either washing my hands or using alcohol gel sanitizer which eats away at the gel/shellac and gets ruined within a few days instead of lasting weeks. TL;DR: I would recommend Angel Nails & Spa for dip powders. They have a wide variety of colors, glitters, shades, ombres, etc. The -1 star is all the small stuff added up such as no pricing on their website, the state my nails were left in when she was done, nothing critically major. read more

Very disappointed!!! Terrible service!!! Technician was not professional at all. From the beginning I should of known when she was unsure how to remove nail polish. There was definitely a communication issue, as she did not understand what I was referring to when I asked for short nails filed square, nor did she ask. I was stabbed under my nail causing it to bleed, nails were cut at different lengths and uneven at that. I have been professionally getting my nails done for over 20 years, the last thing you do before applying the polish is clean the nail with acetone and cotton. She squeezed alcohol on my toes and wiped them with the towel that held my cut toenails and cuticles, then wiping what fell on my nails off! That was definitely my boiling point where I asked her to ask someone. After speaking with another woman my technician then cleaned my nails correctly. The polish was applied missing in some spots which I pointed out and she put more on those spots which is noticeable. I knew it was not going to go well when she didn't even shake the bottle of polish before painting - I did! I decided after that ordeal of a pedicure, I did not want my manicure I had booked. With that level of experience and lack of service, I'm all set! Also, if you pay by credit card, they charge you $1.00 extra. I believe this is actually illegal but that's a whole new can of worms. I paid, left a tip and then was left sitting in the pedicure chair. Another woman told me I can go dry in the waiting area, as there is no drying table with fans. After sitting down, I asked myself why am I sitting here? Instead I left and went and dried my toes in my car. I left with the same calluses on my feet I came in with, a sore toe and messed up nail polish. And I paid for that service. What was the point? Maybe it was just an inexperienced technician but I do not want to be the guinea pig. Someone with that lack of service needs to be trained before waiting on paying customers. My girlfriend and I went in for two pedicures & a gel manicure & we were not disappointed. They sat us down right away & spent a good amount of time scrubbing our feet. It was relaxing! And I am super happy with gel manicure, the girl that did my nails was really sweet & constantly asked if I liked the shape & color. I will be going back! read more

Every time I come for my appointment that I booked in advance I have to wait 15 minutes minimum to get in. OK I understand sometimes they are behind, but when you come to your appointment, you find a babysitter for your kids,you schedule your time which is best for you and they tell you OH SORRY CAN WE RESCHEDULE YOU FOR DIFFERENT TIME , WE HAVE NOBODY TO DO YOUR NAILS. This is not how the business works. I'm so disappointed, will look for another place, and would not recommend anybody from my friends to go there if time is sensitive to you. read more

The worst service...I can't believe they are still in business... The employees are lazy and slow.

While yes Tina is great with all of her customers there are a number of things that continue to get worse and worse about this place. Making appointments is useless. We made reservations for 2, possibly 3, for 6 pm. Showed up as 2 people right at 6 pm, only to have to wait for 40 minutes. Then, once we were seated, my friend got 90% of her pedicure completed before another technician came to do mine. It was pretty obvious he was rushing because their 7 pm close was now past and so he slathered my feet with excess oil to give the appearance of soft and shiny. This however was not good because the nail polish he applied basically slid off, even after sitting under the dryer for 10-15 minutes. A little history- I used to go here regularly and I had stopped going here after Tina went out on maternity leave because no one was nice or gave genuine service in her absence (over the course of 3 different visits). I had hoped that her return and because some time had passed that the place would be improved...but it wasn't. . Basically I spent $30 to wait for over 45 minutes to dip my feet in cold water, received a fast paced leg massage with a ton of oil and no nail polish on 4 toes to show for it. They have repeatedly asked me to take a seat at a station only to take everyone else that comes in after me. not sure what their deal is but if you want your nails done don't bother going here all youll get is a chance to hang out. read more

I've been patronizing this place because it's on my way home from work. The nail techs really aren't very friendly but I chalked up to limited English. The last two times I was treated very rudely and I let them know that. I refuse to spend my money where it's not appreciated. I've taken my business elsewhere. I love this salon. They always strive to give every customer the highest quality nails & best customer service. Everyone is super friendly & very accommodating. I would recommend calling ahead & making an appointment to ensure you'll get in & out. Some reviews I read said the waiting time was an issue but I can assure you, the quality is well worth the wait. If you get the Nexgen powder nails, they will last you at least 3 weeks. The worst nail experience yet. I asked to keep the same length and they chopped my nails off then continued to file them down. Asked them to drill down the powder and they didn't. They didn't do my cuticles, oils, or massage. They also didn't clean under the mail so now my skin is stuck to my nails. Way over priced as well. I paid $100 for my nails to be ruined. read more

I was so disappointed the last two times I went there for a pedicure. Cold water, had to ask to put hot in, cut cuticle. Asked for gel and the gentleman kept picking up someone else's polish and had to remind him the color of gel I picked out. Also put the ultra violet light on top of my nails and messed them up. Best pedicure I've ever had. I visited in August 2018 with my two friends at the recommendation of one of the girls. We all got the Treat your Feet pedicure. As I runner I have some calluses and I've never had a pedicure that has really done a good job at making my feet softer! Finally! My legs and feet feel amazing and my toenails look great! I asked for a full set of acrylics with regular polish and I got basically a glob of acrylic on each nail and clumpy nail polish. It also took 2 hours and it looks HORRIBLE. Such an amazing nail salon! Although I had to drive 30 minutes, it was absolutely worth it! I only had a fill on my acrylics but you can't beat the $17 or the super quick service. I also asked for coffin nails, which are hard for lots of nail techs, and I have gotten nothing but compliments & questions on where I got my nails done at. The color selection was awesome as well. The workers at this salon are unfriendly and just plain rude. As soon as I arrived, they said something in their language, looked in my direction and they all burst into laughter. It's terrible to be insulted and you have no clue what is being said! They take full advantage of those who don't understand their language so they keep talking loudly to one another during the entire appointment instead of getting to know their clients. I prefer peace and quiet to get the full spa experience. One of the staff spent so much time texting on her phone that she couldn't do my gel nails. I searched for a new nail salon on yelp after my last experience, at another salon, did not going so well. After looking at several and reading review I decided to go with Angel nails! I was not disappointed. When I sat down I was able to see that they did in fact sanitize their tools and everything was kept very clean.
