Every aspect of working with Andy & his team was exceptional. Absolutely flawless! This is easily one of the best contractors that I've worked with in the 12+ years of owning my home. ~4 years ago I saw Andy's team take down several trees and prune others in my neighbors yard. In contrast to others that I've used (e.g., Evergreen), they did really good work for a reasonable price, so when I needed some work of my own, I called Andy. And he delivered! I had Andy take down 3 trees (and an old snag) on a steep slope (with a permit that I had already applied for). One of them was tricky as it was leaning toward my house and involved climbing. The other 2 had large cracks in the trucks that I would have through would make felling them challenging. The snag was HUGE and rotten. All 3 dropped were with perfection. I also had them prune a large southern magnolia and an arborvitae hedge. Both look exceptional. The 2 things that stood out most to me were: (1) Andy is a great, no BS communicator. "It will cost X." "We'll be there on Monday at 8am." When the work is done, "How does everything look?" (2) The team that Andy sent was carefully selected. One giant lumberjack with the strength of Goliath! We used Andy's Tree Services to remove a very tall Spruce tree with a bifurcated trunk and highly recommend him to everyone! Andy was on time for the estimate, provided a thorough estimate, was quickly responsive with questions, and again right on time the day of the work. Andy and team were polite and easy to work with. It was a complicated tree on the corner of our lot next to the fence and overhanging our neighbor's shed. The crew was extremely careful and cut and lowered every limb gently down to the ground. I had tall tree branches invading my backyard and almost touching my home. He promptly responded and gave me a date to give me a quote. My neighbors were also interested to get a quote so that we can all do the job on the same day. It all worked out great, the job was done and we can now see more sunshine coming through our windows. Andy and his team just finished a 1+ day job at my house. Andy from the get-go was great about returning my calls / emails. He was also true on his scheduled days (even though we had scheduled it 3 weeks out). Any homeowner will know that arriving on the day you say you will is half the battle. Andy is not only the owner, he's actually part of the team working on the trees. That's a huge thing! The other thing that I really appreciated was that his team would take the extra 30 min at the end to clean up my yard and my sidewalk (blowers, rakes, and brooms). I am very pleased with Andy's service. I sent him a text message if he could trim down some tall hedges I had in my side yard and he promptly responded and was very friendly. Andy removed a large blue cedar tree that was threatening to crush our cars in our driveway or fall into a busy street. He came out the same day and gave us the estimate and then the following day he removed the tree. Two days later he removed the stump. Because I wanted the tree removed ASAP and the estimate seemed fair I didn't bother with other estimates. Even though the tree wanted to fall in a different direction he was able to fall it exactly where it need to go. They did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. He took care of a broken limb from a windstorm (25' up) and trimmed out quite a few branches on a nuisance cedar tree. Did a very nice job pruning our dogwood up front and another unknown species about the same size as a small fruit tree. Lilac tree, holly, et al. Price for the work was in the ballpark of what I was expecting and definitely nothing I could do myself without the risk of needing a Life Flight to the nearest level one trauma center. Would I have rather spent the money on something else? Yes, but the work had to be done.
