Had to replace a leaking cast iron pipe in our basement that has cracked and had begun leaking and of all 3 bids we got Andy's was the best and had the best bang for your buck value along with the warranty on their work and labor it was easy to go with when seeing how much they were willing to back up their work. Will aka Billiam was the one who gave us our bid and also came out to do the work and I cannot stress enough how nice and professional he was. He explained the work thoroughly and in a way that was easy for us to get, he made sure to get a hold of me and explain if something had arisen and was able to walk my wife and I through what needed to change from our initial estimate and and he cleaned up after himself as well. He felt like a guy I'd want to hang out with outside of an instance like this and was very personable. He was quick and prompt at handling the work we initially called him out for. We have a lot going on in our lives and no one wants an unexpected cost like this to hinder their plans like this one almost did, not only was Andy's Pipe Dream and their technician Will well priced and willing to back up their work, the were also excellent to interact with and it helped make the process of spending this much money on a necessary expense like this with them a no brainer and eased our concerns. Bottom line up front: It is, quite literally, never going to be a cheap outing to have a plumber make repairs. However, the ease of booking, quality of communication, and effectiveness of Andy's Pipe Dream was all good in my book. I do find the prices plumbers (and I mean all plumbers here) set to be about 20% too high, especially after I've tackled some of the projects and they just don't line up to the quotes, so I'll get that out of the way. However, they were there to provide a free estimate which is rare in the plumbing world, and has me leaning towards making them my go-to in the future. I was about to be traveling and didn't have the bandwidth to replace the garbage disposal. Add in some added complications with replacing ours, mainly electrical, and that's when I bow out and defer to the experts. This company was wonderful with ease of booking, communication, and the tech himself. He walked me through everything, gave me solid options (lower end replacement, mid-range, and upper), and got the work done quickly. The warranty on the garbage disposal is an impressive eight years which means we can call them at any point, for any issue, and they'll fix or replace which is nice. They were also very available, getting to us quick and it just seems like a well-run operation. Props to the Andy's team for being set up so well, but I hope I don't have to call them anytime soon! read more

Had a couple of clogged sinks- Kitchen and bathroom. Set up an appointment with Andy's via the Yelp app, and sure enough, within in the designated time frame the following business day, they showed up, handled the clogs, and were on their way. The techs were personable and knowledgeable and most importantly, considerate of time. They cleaned up afterwards and we didn't have any messes to handle after they left. This morning I had a pipe burst and it caused flooding in my kitchen and basement. After I shut off the water to my house, the next thing I did was call Andy's Pipe Dream figuring I wouldn't be able to get anyone out soon. I was wrong, they scheduled for 4-6pm and then a couple of hours later, I received another call if they could come sooner. I happily agreed. When they arrived, it was determined what went wrong and where and how to resolve. I received a quote and had them start the work. It was fixed promptly and then the final bill was less. Andy's came out to clear my main drain. They could not reach the problem so they added 15 feet to the cable and they cleared the drain. They charged me $171 for the additional 15 feet of cable! They asked if I wanted view the drain with their camera and I asked if that was extra and they said it would be an additional $200. My bill was $800 without the camera charge. I called the office and asked to talk to Andy but they explained that he was out of the office but he would return my call in the morning. Surprise, he never called me back. Total rip off! read more

Outside faucet / pipe froze and broke during the winter and needed to be replaced; also, kitchen sink was clogged and even commercial grade Drano wouldn't take care of it when I tried that. It went extremely well. Stuart had to go through the outside wall to the wall in our home theater to avoid damaging the stucco. The targeted area on the inside happened to be behind our 9 ft wide home theater screen, but it went like clockwork once he measured the outside and inside walls. It would have been a disaster if I had even thought about "trying" to do it myself. I would have missed the mark by a mile and wouldn't even have a clue what to do. I have nothing but praise for this company; they know how to do it right. When you call in, you speak to someone who is friendly and helpful; you feel like they really want to help. When the plumber/technician came out, fortunately it was the same young man who had been out previously to give me some estimates on a variety of work that I was considering having done. I felt confident that he would be up to handling the challenges of working on 60 year old pipes. Merrik was on time (actually the earlier end of the 2 hour window), and pleasant despite the rain. He was professional, thorough, and got the job done (augering out a clog in a bathroom sink). I asked a lot of questions, and he answered them. I was so impressed with his great customer service (sometimes rare in someone his age). Sadly, this is the first positive plumbing experience that I have had. I called Andy's Pipe Dream early on 12/2/16, they were able to make it out the same day, Impressive. Once the technician got to my home to troubleshoot a leak going to my basement ceiling he said he wasn't sure. Would remove my toilet for $274 or would cut a hole in my wall for $255. These charges were just to TRY and diagnose a cause. I ended up paying the $49 trip charge and sent the technician on his way. Rip Off! Another plumber (Citadel Piping) came out on Saturday, 12/3/16 and charged me $105, he diagnosed the problem, cut out a small hole in my wall and repaired the copper pipe leak. read more

Today I was having some new flooring put in and discovered that the shutoff valve on one of my toilets was not working. I turned off the main and hoped that I could find a plumber who would be available. I searched and called and the owner answered and sensed my urgency and sent Chad. He quickly assessed the need. We reviewed the other two toilets involved and decided to replace another valve. He then did his work thoroughly and quickly. The service and quality is very good. However if you are cost conscious or have a basic job to do, be aware that his prices are outrageous. I had his team out to replace a log lighter bar in my fireplace. Cost was $567 for 3 hours labor. I asked them to break out labor and material and I got a runaround. Their cost to replace a garbage disposal, labor only, is around $225 for a 1 hour job. Contact a handyman next time. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with the responsiveness and the service. I was looking for a local smaller company rather than the big guys who charge way too much. I called on a Friday morning, and Andy answered the phone himself. I didn't consider my plumbing problem to be an emergency, but Colton was at my house within an hour. I had a drain line leak in my basement where some makeshift DIY plumbing work was done by the previous owner some 25 years ago. Colton investigated and solved the problem, clearing out the drain line under the concrete floor, and fixed one of the problems created by the previous owner. He kept me advised of the costs every step of the way. And the cost was very reasonable! I would recommend this company without hesitation. read more

This company had fantastic reviews so I gave them a call only to find out the quote given to me was outrageous. Just some back story, I needed my main line snaked out because it was backing up my basement toilet. Andy was kind of beating around the bush when I asked him for the typical cost of the service for my circumstances, he said, "it depends on the scenario and some other factors. So I told him to give me the best case scenario quote (I.e the cheapest). He told me $275. I called three other places right after and they quoted me right off the bat $99, no questions asked. Moral of the story call around, or go to Home Depot and rent a commercial snake for $50 and do it yourself. read more

Most recently I had him out to adjust my bathtub spout which was pulling away from the tile. I have also had him repair my hot water heater, replace a bathtub trap, remove old gas pipe, and more. Get a second estimate! Andy's started as a local business and has now adopted the practice of trying to tack on extra work and parts you don't need in order to pad the bill, often by exaggerated stories about supposed past customers with catastrophic damage to their homes; an obvious ploy to frighten homeowners. Don't believe them! Sadly, they are especially prone to trying this with women, as my wife (a mechanical engineer) discovered with an Andy's technician named Chad who tried to mansplain tubing materials and claimed she wouldn't notice if "micro leaks" developed in a water line until our hardwood floors started to warp. He apparently claimed to the business owner that she did not understand a form of plastic tubing, when in fact the line in question was braided stainless steel. (The owner did not try to call us, but he may be confusing us with another customer). When I came in the room he changed his tune. I would not trust them. Very disappointed. read more

Andy's came on a recommendation and after other reviews, I decided to hire them for some gas plumbing issues I needed fixed. Chad came on a Friday afternoon to do an estimate and was back first thing Monday morning, on time, ready to go. He actually would have done it Friday evening had I had time. I originally just wanted an external gas quick-connect done for my backyard BBQ but had him quote and repair my fireplace gas line that was out of code and damaged. He was done in a few hours, the work was well done, and he cleaned up afterwards. The estimating was easy and he didn't try to sell what I didn't need. All quotes and receipts were emailed immediately. I'm the type that will choose local, smaller shops for this type of work and their pricing, customer service and overall process reinforced my opinion. read more

Andy's Pipe Dream and Chad, in particular, exceeded every expectation (and I generally have very high expectations!). Arrived just a few hours after I called and right on time. Needed to fix a leak under the kitchen sink and I was anticipating some type of expensive problem. Chad immediately found that the faucet gasket just needed to be tightened. They stayed a few extra minutes to confirm that this was the only problem and that the problem was totally solved. Total time 30-40 minutes to diagnose, fix and confirm.
