We are, sadly, yet another victim of the Folsom pinhole leaks. We previously had two pinhole leaks, one in the ceiling of the garage and one outside near the pipes to the sprinklers. This latest one was a hot water leak under the slab in the master closet, and the final straw. Due to our previously outstanding experience with Michael and Leak Finders, they were our first call, and our only call. Michael quickly detected the leak and then explained our options: 1) Only fix the leak 2) Repipe only the hot water 3) Repipe both the hot and cold. He thoroughly explained all our options, including exactly what would be done for each scenario, and the cost. Since this was our third leak we decided to go with the repipe. I can't stress this enough, Michael is punctual, communicates clearly, very meticulous and very clean. The job took 2 weeks. Every single day he was on time. Each day he vacuumed the areas he worked in and put his tools away. If it weren't for the holes we wouldn't even know he'd been there. He limited the holes that had to be made and explained to me every day what he'd be working on. My wife joked he left the house cleaner when he left each day than it was before he arrived. The job is done now and we are thrilled with the work he did. We can't recommend him highly enough. We all have our contractor horror stories. You definitely wouldn't get anything other than a success story with Michael and Leak Finders. We are confident the days of pinhole leaks are behind us. He also added several more hose bibs for us where there were none before. We have have on on every side of our house. Add me to the Michael fans. After seeing the water level in my pool go down quickly in in the winter (which shouldn't happen) I knew had a leak - I just didn't know where. Michael came out and found leaks in two places -- my skimmer and my pump. He gave me a detailed diagnosis along with some options to resolve the issues. Long story short-- a week later I have a new energy efficient pool pump (along with a sweet SMUD rebate) and a skimmer that does not leak. Once I had the diagnosis and an estimate for repair, I got other repair estimates and did some research on pool pumps. Best money I've spent on a home repair in a long time! Kept having to add salt to our pool so knew we had a leak, but where? Michael came out, inspected virtually every pipe and penetration including solar, equipment, skimmer, light, inlets, outlets, even spent almost an hour diving to checking everything including how our multiple drains were connected. He confirmed the only leak was at the skimmer and arranged to fix it for a very reasonable price with a 1-year warranty and in short order! Highly recommend him and will definitely be referring business to him in the future! We had a leak in our pool pipes that we realized was probably under concrete after getting new equipment and replacing a bunch of pipes ourselves. I called Leak Finders because of the great reviews and I'm glad I did. They were able to come the next day and guarantee a leak detection for a fair price. Within an hour the technician was able to find exactly where the leak was and how I could fix the problem on my own. He did a full check and confirmed there were no other leaks. I can't recommend Michael and Leak Finders enough! Five stars feels like too few. That's how fantastic he and his company are!! Our pool was leaking an inch a day (in the winter!) so we knew we needed help fast. So thankful we found Leak Finders on Yelp! We got a call back within an hour and had an appointment set up for the following Friday (2 days after our call). Casey was friendly and helpful making the appointment and let us know that Michael would be out at 10am. We can't say enough good things about Michael! He was on time, very personable, professional, and trustworthy. He explained the entire process of finding the leak (fascinating!), listened to all our theories, and even gave us some suggestions for the future for some other lighting and waterfall issues we had with our pool. He got to work and tested all of our pool equipment and plumbing and found the leak in the skimmer within an hour. He explained how he would repair it, gave us a quote, and after we approved the work, he told us his office would call to schedule the repair. One of the women in the office called us within an hour. (I wish I could remember her name.) She was extremely friendly and booked the first available appointment the following Thursday. It was the week following New Year's so they were pretty booked. We happily booked the appointment and then about an hour later got another call. The woman called back to say that Michael didn't want us to have to wait until Thursday (it was Friday) since we were losing so much water so he would come out on Sunday morning if we were available. What a pleasant surprise -- he added an appointment on his day off! Of course we booked him! He came out Sunday and was able to fix the leak in about 3 hours including the time it took to drain the pool below the skimmer. In addition to fixing the leak, he also ended up fixing a bathroom sink that was leaking (he had time while the pool was draining), and helped with a toilet that kept running. We were happy to be able to hire him on the spot to fix two items that were on our to do list. One stop shopping! What most people don't know is that they also do plumbing in addition to leak finding which was like hitting the jackpot. We now know exactly who to call for any future pool leaks or plumbing issues. Last week I called another company that specializes in finding leaks to see if they could locate the source of some moisture that seemed to be emanating from under my shower. However, right away it was clear the technician didn't know what he was doing. He kept calling into the office asking for advice on what to do, he didn't have the proper equipment in his truck (ie, no camera), and after telling me my sewer line had a major leak, he began explaining how they'd have to tear up the floor to find it. It scared us and fortunately I called Leak Finders to get a second opinion! Michael came out and took his time understanding the situation and then got right to work getting his camera down the shower drain (the previous company said there was no way to get a camera down there but he did). After checking it out visually he was pretty certain there wasn't a leak. So he then plugged off a section of pipe so he could fill the shower full of water to do a pressure test and sure enough, there wasn't a leak. He then tested the entire sewer line for the whole house and confirmed that was NO LEAK at all. He was very thorough, took his time making sure he did everything right, and explained what he was doing and all of his findings every step of the way. I was SO impressed!! I wish I had called them first! It would have saved me a week of stress not to mention the time I took off work for the first company to come out. On the bright side the other company is refunding me my money after I called them to explain what Leak Finders found. I highly recommend Leak Finders after this experience. So ... after 3-4 years, 8+ pool plumbers, leak detection companies etc we FINALLY found leak finders. We had a super strange issue where pipes were incorrectly tied together under our concrete causing our hot tub not to function (FYI done by previous home owners). We tried everything to fix the issue and continually were told we would have to pull up 1000 sq ft of concrete to find the issue. First off their tech said if he couldn't find it and fix it there would be no charge. This was confidence we had not seen before. We had previously been charged 500.00+ just to look at the problem without any results. Bottom line, we are thrilled. He had to pull out a two foot section of our concrete and did it super clean. So glad I didn't settle for the first two pages when googling leak detectors. Leak Finders fit me in their schedule with 24 hours, and repaired our leak on the weekend because of the severity of our situation. The City of Folsom came out twice because neighbor had complained we were saturating their yard. This is without even any irrigation on during the two past days. The trickle on our driveway, we were once told by another Leak detection company, was a result of our neighbors up the hill watering their lawn.Hence, we weren't concerned when it trickled all day. SO HAPPY WE CALLED! El Dorado water district came to our home to advise of VERY HIGH usage 7 X the normal. We just moved in April 2018. We hired Leak Finders to locate a slab leak for us at a customers house. During a remodel we suspected the house may have a water line leaking under the slab. Not only did Mike pin point the leak he was also able to tell us exactly where the manifolds would be in the walls saving us a ton of time.
