I am not living at the home and I had to wait hours for them. I called the next day and was told that their previous appointment ran over. I always try to give people second chances so I rescheduled for the following day. Unfortunately, I had an emergency and had to cancel. I called early in the morning so they could adjust their schedule for my appointment that I had late in the afternoon. Later, I get a call from the technician letting me know that he is at the home. I explained to him that I called to cancel. He understood. Then to my surprise, I get an email confirming that I have been charged a little over $50 for transportation, and a cancellation fee. One thing that you should be aware of about Pool Scouts is they require your credit card to be on file. They never sent me any documents about the fees. I would think that they would want me to have a signed copy acknowledging these fees if a cancellation were ever to occur. It wasn't discussed on the phone with me either. It seems really unfair for them to not show up the first time I had them scheduled, but when I call and reschedule they charge me fees that I was blindsided by. This isn't how business should be done. It's opportunistic and makes me wonder what else they could try to charge my card while doing business.
