My son's Penne Ala Vodka with Shrimp

What an amazing little restaurant! We went for first time food was Awesome! The service and kitchen were very accommodating for I tweaked the Andy's special by asking for gnocchi instead of penne. Portions were very big very filling. Though still took a cannoli home for later! Highly recommend this restaurant we will be going back.

The service was quick here since there was only one table besides ours on a Saturday afternoon around four. It was kind of like a pizza place diner vibe and we sat under a nice tv fireplace. The pizza was eh but we're from NY. They did not skimp on the veggies and it was better when I added some hummus on there. We liked the fresh salad and the fries were nice and crunchy. Thank you Andy's! Maybe we will try pasta if we ever come back again.

Quiet, nice choice of seating

It's been a while since we've been here but it is still a really good place for lunch. A nice quiet spot with ample parking and a full Italian menu. Nice friendly service, good portions. Always very clean with nice fresh food.

House salad that we shared.

I'd heard about this place - supposed to have really good pizza. So we decided to take the trek across the river to Simsbury to try it. Solid 4 in my opinion. I thought the pizza was good and worth the trip. My husband thought it was ...ok. Ordered the thin crust pizza with hamburger & olives. Pretty tasty & crispy, just the way I like it. Not a lot of sauce though and I did wish that there was more spice/herbs in the sauce. We also got a house salad to share - definitely a decent portion. The ciabatta bread that came with it was good. I'd heard that the pasta dishes were good. Perhaps if I can convince my husband to venture back, we'd try that. Service was good. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, very casual. There were also some tables outside.

I've been here before & it was a pleasant experience, so I brought my mom for lunch. It is cute inside, has a designated take out counter, it's clean & well lit, has bar seating & plenty of wine choices & 8 beers on tap. Our waitress was very pleasant, but a little unattentive, most likely because she was alone & there weren't many customers to keep her attention. The coffee was rich & robust; a cut above your average cup of joe. So much so, that i asked her the brand to which she responded lavaza light roast espresso.. The pizza was decent. The crust was not quite New England style, it was lighter & airier like focaccia. I am a NY style girl, so I wouldn't be able to handle any more than a small, w/ out being breaded out. Both pizzas were tasty & had plenty of toppings, but were a little bland. However, there was cheese, red pepper, s&p available for seasoning to your liking. The beet salad was a little difficult to eat, but It was delicious! The grinder/sub was a 3 out of 5. The roll was excellent, it was toasted perfectly & packed, but not to the point where it decintagrated. The flavor was there, but it was a little mushy. It's hard it get crispy eggplant out, especially in a sandwich. The portions in general were a good size, not too much & not too little. We split the salad & took 1/2 the grinder & the equivalent of 1 small pizza home. (which technically was overkill, but they don't do 1/2 & 1/2 on specialty pizzas & I couldnt decide between the two. (The scampi won by a margin) I would definately feel comfortable coming back here with company.

Spent $16 for fried calamari and this is what I received, cold, overcooked and taste frozen, very disappointing.

Ordered Andy's from Grubhub, spent $16 on fried calamari. Barely received a single portion, opened the container and actually laughed. Besides that it was cold and overcooked. Very disappointing

Bacon cheeseburger pizza!

Ok so that bacon cheeseburger pizza is fantastic! The crust tastes like a toasted bun and the flavors and toppings were just *chefskiss* all the bacon cheeseburger flavors!! I will definitely be back and thank you for setting realistic pickup times!! I managed to take a picture before I ate it all. Seriously just try this pizza already it is delicious!

What a turnaround!! The last time we went into Andy's Italian Kitchen was at their old location in Farmington. They are now located in Simsbury, having taken over the space previously occupied by Little City Pizza. Andy's new dining room is gorgeous, a big improvement over what Little City used to have, and a definite improvement over what Andy's used to have. It's hard to judge what we were more impressed with tonight, the food and atmosphere at Andy's or the All Star service from our server Olivia. She was smiling, she was attentive, she was helpful, she was delightful, she paid attention to everything. She was a real joy! Dinner included a complimentary bowl of popcorn and a complimentary basket of very fresh Italian bread. We ordered Four Cheese Baked Penne ($14.95 with an included salad) and Linguine and Red Clam Sauce ($17.95 with an included salad). I loved my dinner, delicious comfort food at its best. The portions were very generous and we took home half of each entree. Olivia was super helpful, checked back on the bread and the salads and the entrees, and even asked me if I would like some extra sauce. We took home a chocolate dipped cannoli that was wonderful. We were blown away at how awesome the new Andy's is. They have a kickass Happy Hour with 50% off appetizers at the bar, and we sure intend to take full advantage of that. Go check Andy's out. And hope you have Olivia at your table.

Cheese calzone

I have to say I enjoyed Andy's Italian kitchen the dining room area is a great size but still nice and cozy. The staff was Incredibly friendly. We just stopped in for a quick cheese calzone and buffalo wings. The calzone was huge and it was cooked perfectly it had the perfect contrast of cheeses so yummy and the Buffalo wings were cooked wonderfully with the perfect amount of buffalo sauce . It was a quick visit for us but I will definitely be back to try the many Italian options . This is def a reasturant I would recommend!!

Classic linguini with meatballs. Outstanding sauce.

Andy's is everything an Italian restaurant should be... and more! The interior is extremely well-decorated and configured in a way that makes one feel comfortable while enjoying their own personal space. The staff are warm and welcoming and no matter how busy it is, they always check on diners to make sure everyone is satisfied. When you're first seated you're served popcorn as an appetizer... don't knock it until you try it! It's a unique way to start your meal. The food is great! I've had several pasta dishes as well as the pizzas... all of which have the freshest ingredients. The pizza crust is quite nice, not the thinnest in the area but light and crispy nonetheless. The portions are generous as well. Such a great local business... exactly what Simsbury Center needs!

We both ordered pink lemonades. I was craving a burger so I had a 1/3 pound burger and then included a sauce and toppings from like a McDonald's Big Mac burger. My friend ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato mayonnaise, and onion We ordered a large order of onion rings to accompany our burger After a 5 to 7 minute, wait the burgers arrived! My burger arrived, exactly as I ordered a medium rare. This burger was hand formed 1/3 pound of fresh hamburger. It was so juicy. It was also grilled with love. The toppings were spot on would like having a big Mac. I loved the soft roll. So fresh so spongy so delicious. The onion rings were on point, and there were so many in my order. I took some home. These are some really good rings. The pink lemonade was so tart and delicious ice cold. It was perfect on this warm day. Another great experience in this institution called Antonio's! With so many choices around. The best bang for the buck is right here, in Simsbury. Always clean restrooms parking is a breeze, and I didn't check out the new bar connected to this place but someday I will We were treated like family, and it was such a welcoming and perfect experience

Service was mediocre at best. Missing a set of utensils, needed extra napkins and faster food service. It was a Saturday afternoon lunch with no rush. I saw a few servers but no one was in a hurry to go anywhere fast. Fritto mozzarella comes in a triangle shape with what appears to be a cornmeal type breading. It wasn't fried golden brown but underdone for our liking. Pickle platter was full of pickles and amazing. Chili needed more salt and it's very chunky (tomatoes, peppers) and has a nice kick. Kids cheeseburger and Curley fries were good. The chicken kabob on pilaf rice was decent but nothing special. The pizza was very tasty. It's not thin crust and it's not thick crust. It's somewhere perfectly in the middle and cooked nicely. The decor is very eclectic and fun to look at. There are many signs and random items. There's fish tanks throughout.

The photos online do not accurately portray what you encounter when you walk into the Winged Bear…read more My son and I expected an artisanal pizza-and-bar atmosphere with wings, sandwiches, and a few entrées. Instead, the lights and sounds of what felt like Chuck E. Cheese on steroids smacked us squarely in the face. Between the beeping and buzzing of pinball machines and children running around having a wonderful time, we quite literally almost turned around and left. Thankfully, our server asked whether we would like to sit outside--and the moment we walked through that door, it became a completely different experience. The patio was charming, the summer evening was perfect, and the staff was reasonably attentive. Outside, the restaurant felt much more like the casual pizza, bar-food, and entrée concept we thought we had found online. Since "Winged" is in the name, we naturally came for the wings. If I were comparing them with wings from a serious tavern or wing joint, they would rank toward the bottom. Compared with typical pizza-shop wings, however, they were decidedly upper crust. They were cooked perfectly, the Buffalo sauce was excellent, and the barbecue sauce was flavorful without being overly sweet. The blue cheese dressing was not remotely close to homemade--a major disappointment for me--but we still enjoyed the wings for what they were. J. Timothy's has nothing to fear, but these were very good pizza-shop wings. We also ordered calamari on a lark. It was cooked properly and perfectly fine, but neither distinctive nor especially flavorful. My son had the roast beef panini with horseradish mayonnaise, which was very good for what it was. I ordered the wild mushroom pizza. The crust was surprisingly spectacular, although the pizza itself was very heavily cheesed, noticeably short on mushrooms, and lacked any discernible hint of the rosemary promised in the description. Still, it was good overall. If we happened to be in the Simsbury area, we might return--provided we could sit outside. However, we would not make the drive from Canaan or Watertown specifically to visit it as a destination.
