I recently stopped by Andy's Auto Electric to see if they could repair an electrical issue on my Harley Davidson motorcycle. They told me that they generally didn't work on motorcycles because they specialize in automobiles and they didn't have any manuals or wiring diagrams for motorcycles. I can certainly understand that. They also mentioned an issue about liability and not wanting to damage my bike if something were to happen while they rolled it around in their workshop. I applied the honesty exhibited here. I've had repairs done here before, one in particular where they had to remove the dashboard to repair the display lights on the console of my 4Runner. They did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable. I tell you this to say that these folks are very honest and they will not just take your money if they can't actually do the work. I dropped my car off here at the beginning of July to get some electrical issues fixed with my hydraulic suspension system, as well as some other electrical issues. After 2 months I finally get my SUV back, but it still doesn't work. When I try to explain the issues that I was still having, they blamed it on me for "spilling a drink on it or something". No drinks were spilt, no moisture/rain at all got in the car... the switch in the car that controls the hydraulic suspension system (that worked when I dropped it off 2 months ago) just magically stopped working after they were messing with the system. Nothing on the bill said that they tested the switch. I'm suppose to just trust that it was dumb luck after $4,000.00+ and 2 months without a car... No complaints regarding engine work, HOWEVER...the condition I found my car.......drivers seat, steering wheel, gear shift,inside and outside of drivers door,engine hood had greasey fingerprints and smuges. Anywhere the mechanic touched my car,this is on a yellow vehicle with yellow interior.....Someone had to see it. The carpet,also drivers side was caked with dried mud,now,we have had quite a bit of rain here lately , but still someone should have seen it. Doing quality engine work doesn't mean leaving a vehicle this way. My car was squashed between two others, now I have dings. The company logo says" excellence guaranteed". Thanks for this family business, my van is used for mobile auto detailing and stays on the road basically seven days a week. Most of the time when something breaks it's major and expensive. Not only do they get it fixed the same day, the price for towing and repairs are reasonable. Please know these people can fix anything that might be wrong with your vehicle. ZERO STARS. Most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with in my life. My engine had to be replaced due to "metal shavings in the oil". It never ran hot at all, but Andy's told me they would not take the engine apart to find out why there was metal in the oil. So I had to replace it or tow it somewhere else - right then. SO I paid $5,000 for a used engine. They kept my car for 2 months. My ins paid for a rental for two weeks. I had to pay for a rental the rest of the time right after Christmas. They never moved my car from the parking lot the first month and a half. They said it was because they couldn't remove snow from the parking lot. Really? After 2 months, I got my car back. It has never ever run correctly. When I picked up the car and requested the receipt from the company that they purchased the engine, they told me that they spilled motor oil on it so they could not provide the correct mileage. When I called them months later and asked for it again - they denied ever saying they spilled motor oil on it?? I had two witnesses that heard her tell me that. I guess I finally pressed them hard enough that they finally took the initiative to get me the receipt and mileage from the used salvage company. Still no warranty information. A year and a half later and still without any warranty information. A year and a half after I have replaced the engine, the engine has a major gasket leak and the timing is completely off. It cuts off in the middle of the road. It has placed me in very unsafe predicaments. I called today (6/2019) after finding out that the gasket is leaking. They referred me to the company that they bought the engine (where they failed to offer the warranty papers) and told me I can go anywhere to get it fixed. I took that as they didn't want to be bothered. Their poor work - let someone else fix it. I still do not know if my car is covered. I guess the silver lining is I do not have to ever go back to Andy's Auto Electric. Terrible work ethic, terrible service. Got my $5000 though. read more

This is the deal. Car repairs suck. You don't know what is wrong and it is so hard to feel like you can trust some random mechanic. So, don't trust some random person. Andy actually works at his own shop. When we went in to get things done on my van they always make me feel like I matter. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of, and I DO trust these guys. They have stayed late to help me when I pulled up with a broken heater hose. They do a great job for a very fair price. I would recommend them to anyone. The office staff is friendly, and helpful. I hope your car doesn't break, but if it does, I would say go to Andy's. Heck they will even help you get the car towed in if you need it, and that saved a LOT of headaches. read more
