Great place. Local feel. Nearly everything's homemade. Unique menu with regular and seasonal items with options like gluten free, etc. Really friendly service. Might appear a little pricey until you get the huge amount of food - you get what you pay for. Only downside is it's a little small and hard to find - but since it's so good, it keeps the crowds down! read more

First time visit for breakfast and was not disappointed. Friendly service and quick. Coffee is strong and very good, probably the best in the local area. Juices are good, fresh squeezed OJ and the Summer Fling blend is very refreshing. Omelet I had was very good and was stuffed and the bacon was great. The flatbread breakfast sandwich was very good and quite large. Highlight was the grilled zucchini cornbread. Only negatives are the home fries, plastic cutlery and it's a little pricey due to all items being ala carte. Would definitely visit again. read more

This was my first time here and we went with 2 other families. So we had about 10 people all together. The food was great!!! Everyone was super nice there. I do have to say I was very disappointed in the fact that everything was disposable, silverware, cups, plastic straws and styrofoam plaits (not good for the environment at all). They have vegan, vegetarian and gluten free stuff. Everything is cooked fresh. These are GREAT things and what they are known for. I just thought they would be way more environmentally friendly. I get the convenience of having disposable things but I am definitely not down for it at all. It is pricey which I must say for the quality of food I don't mind at all but if I pay that I would expect to eat off of Real plates not picnic stuff. Sorry. Saw all the great reviews on Yelp but their limited hours kept us from trying sooner. The food we had was all very good. Understandably the prices are higher since you are paying for quality ingredients at a mom & pop place. However, not a fan of the upselling without mentioning that every change to your order increases the price with no warning. Ate breakfast here today with my mom for the first time and we are in love!! The owner Andy took our order at the counter and was so sweet and patient with us; we could not decide what to get because everything sounded so good and he offered to get us our drinks first so we could sit down and take our time with the menu :) As other reviewers noted, the FRESH squeezed OJ is no joke- I've never tasted such perfection!! For food, I went with the build your own omelette and it was delicious! The eggs were incredible, fluffy and flavorful, and the add in veggies were so fresh! My mom got the special of the day, the yolko ono breakfast sandwich, and she really enjoyed it too. The pesto sauce on it was delish! The portions are beyond generous for the price you pay and with fresh and local ingredients, the price is worth it in my opinion. We cannot wait to go back and try everything else! read more

It is a gem in the middle of nowhere! The menu is alacart and you serve yourself. It's all plasticware and throw away. That doesn't matter to me. What mattered is that the food was good, the place was clean and the service was decently friendly. I love that mostly everything is homemade and or pretty local. You certainly don't walk away hungry! The menu is creative and thoughtful. Be prepared it is a cash only business but they do have an ATM. It's good. You order at the counter and pick it up when it's ready. Not your typical diner atmosphere so common in Berks. Off the beaten path, but friendly folk and fabulous food make the trip worthwhile. I had an omelet and home fries, and a Portuguese muffin that was over the top. My goodness, I have never seen a couple run a restaurant like this. Usually when I see a bald guy running the cash register, I walk right out. But Andy knows what he is doing. From the home made zucchini corn bread, to the jelly you put on it everything is fresh and delicious! There are a soup and sandwich place, so if you don't like those two things...go to hell! A hidden gem in an area of Berks county that consists of sub par pizza shops and bland food. Andy Peppers is by far one of my favorite places to eat. Have yet to have a bad meal there. Everything is super fresh and delicious. My favorite is the Mother Clucker and Hot Mozz, but you seriously can't go wrong with anything.
