They offered ideas and said they would take a good look at all our concerns. They were informative the entire servicing and often invited me to come see or show me items. They even took photos for me during the work and texted me to have for future reference. They also did not try to upsell or just tell me to buy more or get more service, but gave me real options. They were upfront and honest, but still friendly and considerate. Very respectful of spaces, quality work, and left me happy to leave this review.

It started with Joanna patiently fielding my questions and giving me a good faith estimate on the work I requested: Kitchen faucet replacement, running toilet and water heater temperature. It ended with an extremely efficient Lyle replacing the faucet quicker than I could reconnect to the internet (seriously, that really happened). He also graciously took the time to explain and educate me on why the toilet is fine with just a few minor adjustments and how my electric bill could be unintentionally impacted with raising the temperature on the water heater. Lyle could have simply replaced the valve and flapper in my toilet and easily adjusted the thermostat in my water heater as I requested, but he didn't. He chose to save me money instead of pocketing additional profit for his company. In this day and age, that rarely happens. I couldn't even figure out how to stop the water from coming out and within minutes water was pouring down the stairs and leaking into the floors below the kitchen. After calling everyone I could think of, including the board of water supply, with no one providing any help, I typed in "plumbers" into Yelp and started cold calling down the list. First Class Plumbing was the third company listed but the first one that seemed to care. I was warned that I was calling after hours so I'd have an emergency fee if I wanted service now... I joked "fine - this is an emergency" and was told I'd get a call back as soon as they could get ahold of one of their plumbers. I went back to trying to heave buckets of water into a nearby sink and received a call back 15 minutes later. The plumber was so calm, and after hearing that I was still dealing with gushing water, explained to me how to stop the water flow. He asked me to send him pictures of the burst pipe and the faucet and got off the phone to price everything out including replacing the pipes and faucet. After doing all that work he told me what the cost would be and then said it was no worries if given the price I didn't want to continue on - or at least wait until it wasn't an emergency (an extra $150 charge). I said I definitely wanted the service and he came right out and fixed the burst pipe. I would already have been raving about this place for their competent service if it had been a normal scheduled appointment. But the fact that this company and the plumber were there for me when no one else was, and went above and beyond walk me through how to stop the problems and extremely quickly look into part costs for me before I ever even agreed to the service has made me a loyal customer forever!

They were very nice folks but I personally felt that they were trying to maximize profit - from…read moreinsisting to run a full-on diagnosis for $1000 after me already telling them what's likely going on, and quoting $1500 for 3 toilet repair (each toilet was $100 when we bought it, so 500 to repair the small parts inside doesn't make economic sense. ) We already got another quote from somewhere else for $589, so almost one third of what those guys quoted. I paid $300 to do a diagnostics, to get them to tell me that the toilets are broken - yes - that's why we called you - and they won't apply that fee towards any repair. I'm sure they're good plumbers - I personally like working with those who actually think of what value they are providing.

Amazing company and owner. Long story short, wasn't getting any power from the grid (HECO)…read more Luckily, I have a PV solar system that was powering my house for 5 days. Requested HECO to come out and discovered the 100 amp breaker melted the plastic behind it and basically fell apart. Requested an electrician on Memorial Day and Johny responded very quickly and came out right away. Obviously checked the reviews prior to requesting him. Anyways, by just providing him a picture he could tell just the breaker needed replacing instead of the whole panel, which would've costed thousands. Johny is super knowledgeable and friendly. He ended up checking all my breakers and if there were any overload. Basically made sure everything is safe and up to par. Got everything done within an hour including having HECO come back to reenergize my house. Everything is back to normal again. So thank you very much Johny and Grand Hawaii Electric.
