One of the coolest dinner experiences I've been to. It's a Greek restaurant that has elevated club vibes. Come for dinner and you'll see belly dancers, saxaphonist, crowd dancing & more. It's like never ending entertainment that comes to your table. It's a total vibe & atmosphere is so lively. I celebrated my birthday here with friends and it was the perfect place for it! For birthdays, they can provide a sparkler on your cake and bring out a giant LED sign with a personalized message (extra charge) Food was tasty but not overly amazing. I think the atmosphere here is what will bring me back. This is an elevated dining experience so you'll see prices on the higher end. Of the food we got, I liked the Trio $19, prawn $24 and chicken souvlaki $46 the most. We also asked for 6 tequila shots that we didn't know would be $96 until we saw the bill lmao Overall a super fun restaurant to visit in Vancouver! Entertainment picks up later in the night. I think this restaurant is not worth the money nor the time. First of all, the service was subpar, the food was bland and cold and the drinks are watered down. The only interesting thing is the decor and live music--which is not in good taste. Unfortunately, they also charge mandatory gratuity if it is a group of 6+. Based on the service and unimpressive food and beverages, i would never set foot in this establishment and advise against coming here as it is a waste of time and there are better places to go eat. For an establishment that charges fine dining prices, I would say it is poor value! read more

The ambiance was great, very lively and had live music. You are paying for the show with the food prices. The night we went on a weekday, they had a live saxophone artist playing it was 10/10. The food was just okay, burnt the pita but they remade it for us. The chicken souvlaki was tender and juicy and the plate was big. Would skip the salmon and dry chickpea side (could use a salad or green instead. Would go back for a party or before a night out. Serivce was great, staff was polite and kept on checking in. We had an amazing experience here. We walked by realized this place and got curious with the nice interior decor. So we walked in to try. It was packed and they found a seat for us right away, and then later helped us switch to a nicer table when it's available. The service is great. The music and atmosphere fitting for party crowd. The food is delicious. My favourite is the chicken souvlaki. That was very very tender. Probably the best I've ever had. The calamari is on the dryer side because they use smaller octopus so the flesh is thinner compare to the crispy outside. The mushroom is a good side with the chicken. read more

I went there on Sat night for the first time. The vibe was fun but very loud music, it was hard to hear each other talk. The food and presentation was good but way over priced. We came as a party of 8, there were a couple of bigger parties around but seemed lively. The good: very fun ambiance, great for pics. Music is great but if you plan to talk at all it's entirely too loud. Saxophone was great but again- the volume was insanely loud. The cons: food was average. The appetizers were just ok, entrees took an hour and were not flavorful. We had chicken skewers, sirloin, fish.. the best thing was the spanakopita. For the price, portions are fine but flavors are very lacking. The drinks are also just ok- wish they'd just stick to simpler cocktails. Service was ok- slow and little all over the place, several different servers came by- our actual server never even actually introduced herself. There was no offer to go over the menu to explain anything- menu itself is kind of a mess . Also- a lot of things were "unavailable" which is kind of sad since they already have a small menu. No exaggeration, this is my new favourite restaurant in Vancouver. The experience was so unique and unlike anything else in the city, and the food was out of this world! Like seriously probably the best Greek food I've had in Vancouver, no competition. The live performances and interactive experience every 30mins or so throughout the night was so fun, and the music was All the food we tried hit the spot, but the Chicken Souvlaki and Lamb Rack is a MUST. First off I'd like to complain about the $244 deposit I had to put on my card just to make a reservation for 4 people. Never has a reservation been that expensive just to book. Yes I did get it refunded, when I arrived, but that's a bit ridiculous in my opinion. Throw in the completely OVERPRICED menu that lacked optional side dishes as the main entrees didn't really come with anything. I ordered the 48 hr braised chicken which tasted like boiled chicken and was small in portion (served in a side plate pretty much) and flavourless. It tasted like the chicken was seasoned with salt and pepper. The entertainment music for the belly dancer and saxophone player was so loud my one friends had to put her ear buds in as it was a bit deafening and could not hear each other talking. 2 of the people at my table wanted to order clams and moussaka and they were both not available (it was 7pm). The service was terribly slow and was getting passed around between 3 different people and our main waiter provided excuses for having lots of tables. On top of all that, it was cold in the restaurant. My girl had to wear her parka throughout the whole dinner, and noticed that even the bartender was wearing her parka as well. At the beginning of the night, the waiter said "It's a big restaurant and it takes time to heat up", but was still a bit cold at the end of night when we left. Finally I was put off by the final bill which was priced for a fine dining experience, but felt more like a wannabe night club experience. By far the worst experience I've had this year at a restaurant and will never go back. Save your hard earned money as this was an epic fail. read more

Disappointing Experience at Andonis Vancouver - Not Worth the Hype or the Price We visited Andonis Vancouver on a Tuesday evening for a special occasion -- a birthday celebration with a group of guests, having reserved their four-course set menu dinner for 7 PM. What followed was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had, especially considering the high price point and the supposedly upscale atmosphere. Right from the start, things went downhill. Despite being told we had a strict two-hour dining window, we waited nearly an hour just to receive drinks and a simple serving of pita bread and hummus -- and this was with the restaurant mostly empty aside from a few smaller parties. Staff were often on their phones or standing around in groups, showing little interest in actually serving guests. Perhaps the most frustrating moment of the night came around 7:30 PM, when instead of attending to hungry, waiting customers, the staff suddenly started dancing around the restaurant waving a flag. No drinks, no food had been served yet, but we were encouraged to get up and join them in a circle dance. It felt tone-deaf and performative rather than hospitable -- especially since we were still waiting on basic service. At 8:30 PM, we finally received the Greek salad -- the only decent dish of the evening. Around 8:50 PM, a small pasta course arrived that tasted like canned SpaghettiOs -- bland, mushy, and completely forgettable. The main course of prawns and chicken didn't come out until after 9:15 PM, and while a few guests found the chicken edible, others were served burnt portions. At this point, several people in our group were visibly agitated and still very hungry. Repeated requests for the birthday cake were ignored for over an hour. Then at 10:35 PM, staff brought out another table's cake -- we began singing before realizing it wasn't even for our guest. The actual cake didn't arrive until 10:46 PM, by which point most of the birthday party had already left. One of the four courses we paid for was never served at all. As a last-ditch effort, staff offered a bottle of champagne and a few watered-down shots -- at nearly 11 PM, well after the evening had been ruined. Our bill was over $2,000, and what we received in return was poor food, disorganized service, and an atmosphere that felt more focused on gimmicks than hospitality. This may be one of the worst dining experiences I've had in Vancouver, especially for a high-stakes celebration. If you're considering Andonis for a special event -- don't. There are far better options that actually care about their guests. read more

My husband and I booked in Valentine's day for dinner. Once we got there and ordered drinks, we realized there was a set menu that contained seafood, which i'm allergic to. To preface it said no where on their website advertising this / the server said it was lame and a lot of people were confused. I had asked the server if there was another menu to order off of, or if they could accommodate the allergy, and they didn't offer much to help besides taking the fish out of the dish. Since i didn't want to risk cross contamination which they unfortunately couldn't assure us of, we asked if we could sit in to just have our drinks. We were told it was a minimum $150 per person so we'd need to order $300 worth of drinks if we weren't getting food. Although the manager came and offered us a free shot / her business card, we ended up spending date night sitting outside to come up with where to go for dinner next last minute when everywhere was booked up.
