    Chicken souvlaki
    Tiff R.

The ambiance was great, very lively and had live music. You are paying for the show with the food prices. The night we went on a weekday, they had a live saxophone artist playing it was 10/10. The food was just okay, burnt the pita but they remade it for us. The chicken souvlaki was tender and juicy and the plate was big. Would skip the salmon and dry chickpea side (could use a salad or green instead. Would go back for a party or before a night out. Serivce was great, staff was polite and kept on checking in. Even gave us a free shot, good experience overall.

We had an amazing experience here. We walked by realized this place and got curious with the nice interior decor. So we walked in to try. It was packed and they found a seat for us right away, and then later helped us switch to a nicer table when it's available. The service is great. The music and atmosphere fitting for party crowd. The food is delicious. My favourite is the chicken souvlaki. That was very very tender. Probably the best I've ever had. The calamari is on the dryer side because they use smaller octopus so the flesh is thinner compare to the crispy outside. The mushroom is a good side with the chicken.

They have a daily Happy Hour from 2pm to 6pm and have 59 cents wings on the menu with lots of flavour options with a minimum 10 wing order per flavour plus a drink order. My boyfriend took me on a Sunday where the wing deal is on the entire day. He ordered the Cajun spice and I ordered the garlic parmesan plus the Honey garlic. They also have Lucky beer cans for $4 each during Happy Hour and my boyfriend ordered a few of those. The wings do take a little bit of time because they make them fresh but worth the wait! They are slightly breaded with a slight crunch on the outside but juicy inside. Size of the wings were pretty good and I loved both the Cajun spice and garlic parm flavours. Both my boyfriend and I agreed that the Cajun spice reminds us of the Shake 'n bake flavours but with a kick of spice. The Honey garlic was also decent but we enjoyed the garlic parm and Cajun spice the most. We also asked for a side of hot sauce, which they provided, and at no extra charge. I also ordered one of the Baja fish tacos to try for $7. The tortilla shell was overly crispy and there was too much slaw with runny mayo on top. It was average, probably would order something else next time. Large venue with a pool table at the back so I can see it being busy at night when it turns into a club, or if there was a game on to watch. Service was decent also. Great place for Happy Hour wings and beer. They had a lot more on their menu to try out, we saw quite a few tables order the burger and fries special for $16.

Our waiter was incredibly attentive, and the service was quick. We kicked things off with some drinks. We should have arrived 30 minutes earlier to enjoy their happy hour. Their drinks are both strong and delicious. It's a fantastic opportunity to try something new, especially since you don't get to experience Greek spirits every day. The food was just as tasty. We started with the calamari and the house spreads - we had the hummus, tzatziki, and roasted eggplant dip. It was so good that we had to order more pita bread. For our mains, we shared three different dishes: short ribs, lamb meatballs, and lamb roasted shoulder. The flavors were rich and well-seasoned. That, combined with their drinks, was a perfect match. Don't come here after eating a snack beforehand; make sure you're hungry because you'll be finishing your plate and the person you're with. I would definitely return here without hesitation to try the rest of the menu.

We also ordered grilled halloumi, which brought that satisfying squeak and a lightly crisped edge. A nice surprise: they sent out profiteroles on the house for us to try. It's a small gesture, but it rounded out the meal on a sweet, generous note. This Gastown souvlaki shop runs tight on space, so expect a possible wait, especially if you go at a peak time. There's an authenticity to the dinning experience and the food is elevated compared to the standard fair all around town. It's a small restaurant in Gastown. There are only a handful of tables. It feels intimate yet has a social vibe. It's really charming. We grabbed a nice little table for two. There was a menu, a water pitcher and glasses already on the table. It's not a huge menu, but the things you expect are there. Everything on the menu looked so go we wanted to try everything. Fortunately there is an "everything" platter for two people where you get to sample everything. The platter comes with pork gyro, chicken kabab, lamb kabab, greek salad, green salad and French fries. Not being a fan of lamb, we asked if we could substitute the lamb kabab for a second chicken kabab. They were accommodating and said they would happily do that, but the owner, encouraged us to tray the lamb. I could tell how passionate and proud of his food he is, and that convinced me to try it. It was absolutely the best thing on the platter. The serve was great. The food came out fast in a beautiful wooden bowl that presented the food wonderfully. Kababs can be a tough thing to get right. Often they're over cooked and dry. Which is the kiss of death for chicken and particularly lamb. These were served hot and juicy and cooked to perfection. The fries were seasoned well and crispy. The salads fresh.
