I am writing this, hoping it will help others so they don't go to this doctor and get Mis treatment and over medicated for the wrong reasons.
I went to see Dr Ando because I was getting very sick from the vog and all the fumes from the erupting volcanos in the Big Island close to my home.
He is a horrible doctor. Very bad bedside manners and non communicative and very rude.
He took 2 and a half hr to take intake form which was not helpful. He keep repeating same questions because he can't understand what he is doing in the first place
When he asked what my symptoms were. I told him I have on going migraine and he said, I don't know what that means, so I had to tell him I have pain in my head to explain. Then I told him my eyes are burning, I can't breathe, my throat is closing up and I have hives everywhere which my skin dr took cultures and said it's not infection. Every time he ask me a question and I answer, he would tell me he don't know what I am saying, and I have to find very simple explanations to tell him what he needs to hear. From what I gather, He speaks fluent English and has been a dr for a long time. For him. It to know what a migraine is, what throat closing up or tongue swelling or what hives are is beyond me.
I told him my regular doctor told me to come to him because we have to rule out what else is affecting me and if I am allergic to anything. I was sent there to take skin tests for allergies.
He told me, you are not allergic to sulfer, air quality and stuff, you are a irritable person with irritable body. I did not understand that. So I asked him, so if I am not allergic to anything and you have not tested me at all, how do you know I dont have allergies? And how do you know I am a irritable person with a irritable body when all I have been was patient and spoke softly to him. He said he can tell I have a irritable body being a irritable person. I have not lost my patience at this point yet, I think I was wondering and trying to figure out what he is talking about.
When I asked him if he is taking tests, he screwed up his face and told me, like I am contagious
He said: what? I am not going to touch your body because you have a irritable body. You will just go and take blood tests. He ordered 37 panel of blood to be taken.
He asked me what I had been doing to help myself,
I told him I went to natural path, I went to chiropractor and Accupunture.
He said stop wasting your money. Natural path and chiropractors and the likes won't help you, won't heal you, only western doctors are up here on the scale to help you and heal you.
He said since you have fibromyalgia what have you been doing to help that?
I told him dr Lee is giving me ibuprofen when I can't get out of bed and the joints and bones hurt. I use to take Oxy because Tylenol give me stomach ache.
He then told me, Ibuprofen and all the pain meds are equal to pesticides and food preservatives, no wonder you have a irritable body being irritable person.
I told him so what do I take when it's bad and I am hurting all over and can't get out of bed? He said Tylenol
I told him that gives me a stomachache
And he told me Tylenol don't give stomach aches
The other medicine does.
I didn't want to argue since I have to live with pain and I know when I have a stomachache from the meds.
He told me to take Claritin, zertex and Allegra all at the same time.
And he told me to use two different inhalers that are steroids together and nose spray
And then he said I don't have allergies and sent me off.
I did not feel I should take all the medicine at the same time he prescribed.
I feel it will be over medicating me and I will have other problems.
I hope he don't hurt anyone else in the mean time he is a doctor. read more
