Are there six stars for "Absolutely Magical?" I'm just going to tell you that we had a great experience. Got time for a story? Here we go: My wife and I are absolutely ecstatic about our experience at Rock River Kia. We'd been searching all over Chicagoland for a Kia Telluride with the right trim level and colors, and were desperately thinking that we were either going to have to special order a car and wait months or find ourselves another make and model, both of which made us sad... As I was desperately working on finding a close alternative, I found one in...Rockford. But it had black leather instead of the lovely brown leather. Close enough, and it'd get us the car. ENTER MAURICE... Also known as Reese Williams, who's now our favorite car salesman and potential action movie star. Can I call him a salesman? More a client relationship specialist. I called him and told him what I'm telling you now, and he said: "I've got just what you want sitting right here." Not only did he have what we needed, but he shepherded us through a painless process of remotely buying a car WE'D NEVER EVEN TEST DRIVEN. Kudos to his GM, Todd Burr, who immediately backed up Maurice. Now, sidenote: everyone's out there selling these Kia's for waaaaay over MSRP, because it's a hot car. But not Rock River Kia. We didn't get any discounts, but we paid exactly what was on the sticker for EXACTLY the car we wanted. Maurice took us through the whole Process in the course of an afternoon. It's our kids' spring break, and we didn't really want to take several hours driving out and back. So... Reese--ON HIS DAY OFF--brought the car to us and spent two hours working with us through all of the incredible features and functions the Kia Telluride offers. Here's the TL;DR: Reese, Todd, and the Rock River crew gave us such incredible customer service and such a painless car-buying process that we're immediately talking about our next car purchase (another Telluride? likely), and Rock River is the place to be. From the ultra-streamlined, no-hassle approach to the sale to the ease of financing and the flawless execution of excellent customer service, we're proud and happy to be part of the Rock River Kia family. brought my seltos in after complaint made to Kia about losing oil, repairs were made but I'm still not sure if the car is still burning oil, was forced to file a complaint with the Attorney General, dealership told me to drive the car for a month until they can determine how much oil the seltos burns read more

It was very hard to get in contact with someone. I ended up making a deal else where. Upon their response back they said "I could bet that." I responded and said how so. They said "ITS TO LATE NOW." Yes in all caps.. very mocking and rude. Should never treat a potential customer with this kind of disrespect. Could have been a future customer...very sad to see this type of service. My husband and I went shopping for a car at Rock River KIA. We found a great car and was very excited. When we got to the financing, we were very explicit with the fact that we had our own financing and that we did not require nor want them to run a separate application or to run our credit or anything whatsoever to do with a dealership loan. We gave them our bank approval letter and all they needed to do was enter the approval code in the portal and we would've been new car owners. It was after hours and the finance manager said that the loan was pending and because it was after hours I didn't question the pending application until the bank called me the next day. The bank asked if we were interested in buying two cars because the dealer had put in a separate application. I was on fire! Not only did they ignore our request, they caused a hard hit on our credit. We are fuming, but we like the car. Rock River Kia is associated with Anderson Automotive Group so we thought we would call Anderson Nissan and see if they could get the car. Anderson Nissan tried to help, but said that the other dealership, as expected, had an "appointment," but wouldn't give Anderson Nissan an expected time for the appointment. I understand that dealerships are known for their obnoxious and overzealous behavior, but this level of deception is preposterous. I would not recommend Rock River Kia unless you're a masochist and enjoy being mistreated by a dealership's shady tactics. We will not buy from Rock River Kia, but open to Anderson Automotive Group making this right. read more

We have had Volkswagens, Toyota's, Oldsmobiles, Ford, Dodge, Saturn, Chevy. We are on our second Kia and we will not buy anything else now. The warranties are the best, the price is excellent, the designs are great for our needs. The service department at Rock River Kia is exceptional and is another big reason why we won't buy anything else. The guys always seem to go above and beyond for you. Seriously. I have never had such service and kindness anywhere else. The other places in town could learn a few things from these guys!! They should be ashamed that they don't. And the waiting area is very nice, the bathroom modern and always clean. Coffee, popcorn, plus vending machines right there. And of course TV and newspaper. So I'm looking for a used car.I decided to go test drive a 2013 Ford Focus..I really liked the car and was ready to talk prices. As the discussion started I told the salesman I would be paying cash", What kind of deal can we make here?".As he stepped away from his desk I was quickly texting a couple of people to get some guidance.I waited with the anticipation of Mitch coming back with some kind of cash discount for me.As he sits down he tells me "Your getting a real good deal here ,and I can't work with you,I can't come down on the price" Really? Nothing,Not 1$.So needless to say,I thanked Mitch for his time and walked out.I must say I've always heard of the stereotypes of car salemen..Yep, It's true.( I should say true for that dealership )will never do business with this dealership, EVER!!!..I will share my story of my experience, and shop elsewhere for my car. read more

we had Purchased 3 times in this dealership history in 2002, 2009 and 2016 since Loyalty customer of us however we tried to trade in our 2016 Sorento to 2019 Kia Sedona so their Finance dept and salesperson Mike offer over $800 monthly on new minivan so we walked out and found Zeigler dealership to offer us best finance and helpful our needs. I just bought a 2014 Kia Optimal from here and I must say that this was the best buying experience I have ever had. The sales staff went above and beyond to get me into the right car that both fits my budget and my family's needs. They truly listened to what I said I needed and worked diligently to ensure my needs were met. Even with my scared credit history and limited monthly budget they was able to get me financed and into my car. The best part is the honesty. There was never a time that I felt pushed into something I didn't want. They was straight forward and real about what to expect. the sales agent was nice enough but the overall transaction was poor. first of all when they delivered our car from out of town, it hadn't been cleaned, floor wasn't in plastic, scuffs on the seats that came off when rubbed, but just didn't have the 'new' look. we were convinced it would be detailed properly once paperwork was good (and it was, to their credit). we had them install a sunroof as well, and when we finally received the car, there were a couple of gouges in the driver side dash (possibly from the sunroof install). it was pointed out to the rep who took a picture, approached the manager, who bustled on his way uttering a short, curt answer, not stopping at all to give the proper attention a customer's concern deserves. my mistake to drive off the lot without the issue being resolved, but was assured the gouges were worthy of some sort of compensation. subsequent calls to the dealer have been brushoffs. NEW car means NEW, not gouged. customer satisfaction it seems means nothing to this place. greatly disappointed. read more
