First day of work, he showed up promptly with one assistant and they got busy very quickly! The job ended up expanding into a bigger project than originally planned, as Edgar uncovered other unanticipated weather damage to my home's stucco and framing. He pointed out and explained problems as soon as he saw them, and offered detailed, reasonable solutions. I appreciated his flexibility and willingness to work with the changing situation. Edgar and his assistant were on time every day, worked diligently throughout the day, and were respectful of noise and space. Though I could hear their power tools and pounding throughout the day, which of course can't be helped, I was still able to work from home with no major issue. Point Vertex construction was one the 3 companies I called to come out and bid on the job that needed to be completed in less than 3 weeks. Edgar came out for an estimate, was knowledgeable about the work required and seemed like a pleasant and professional contractor to work with. He sent over a clear, thorough and fair contract soon after the estimate. When Edgar and his crew came out to do the work we were impressed with every part of the operation. The old boards were removed carefully, new ones milled to precision and installed to match exactly the existing trim and stucco. We have had trim boards replaced 3 times previously and this is the neatest most detail oriented job we have had so far. It feels good to know the next time we need theses replaced or indoor/ outdoor carpentry of any kind we can rely on Edgar and his skilled crew. As promised Edgar did whatever was necessary to complete the job on time. He and his crew worked back to back 9 hr days including Saturday, replaced 6 boards more than we originally planned and still finished with 2 days to spare. He communicated clearly about what was possible and was honest when the stairs turned out to be in worse condition than first assessed. The team replaced the unsalvageable parts and stabilized the rest, and the workmanship on the parts they replaced looks solid. All-in-all there was only so much they could do given the stairs were built incorrectly and were in very bad condition, but they pulled through and got everything into a safe, workable state. Harvey was also a really nice guy to talk with. Professional, personable, and easy to work with. He kept us informed when the timeline shifted, worked efficiently, and left the area tidy when they finished.
