Big bubbles!…read more (Almost) Every weekend, Barry creates the largest bubbles outside his Forget Me Not Factory toys and collectibles store, downtown Ellicott City MD. He brings the fun, often (always?) with a tall top hat. If you're asking, yes, he sells various bubble-makers and his own Barry's Bubbles solution in the three story main street store. The store is full to bursting with unique, especially magical, toys. Rumor has it there's a player piano on the top floor! With the drop of a coin, you are the player piano player!

After living in the area for years, I always passed by the whimsical exterior. I finally ventured in for the first time and wish I had done so sooner. It not only has the charm and magicalness of walking into a witch's cottage or a fairy garden shop, but is also a time capsule where you can find calendars from 2007 with whimsical fairies that you can still buy today. In other places, I would absolutely be put off by the old merchandise, but in a place like Forget Me Not Factory, it absolutely fits the vibe of the establishment, and I actually really enjoyed finding old things for sale there. It felt like stepping into the past, and I cannot wait to go back. Whether to find new items for my garden or supplies to make my next Ren fair costume.

Definitely touristy, so get stocked up on knickknacks and souvenirs! Employees were very kind. I wanted a MD shirt so badly but almost everything is printed on the back! Always a let down

WARNING: UNSAFE ESTABLISHMENT / HOSTILE & INCIDENT…read more On Oct 2, 2026, two friends and I (arriving in Fells Point around 3:30 PM) visited E.C. Pops around 3:50 PM. While upstairs near a mirror so my friend could adjust her clothing, an older man sitting at a desk watching us (believed to be the owner) aggressively accused us of trying on/stealing items. Despite us repeatedly saying no, he yelled at employees to lock the doors and stop us. Terrified, we ran downstairs to try to leave. Other customers in the store quickly ran out the door before a male employee attempted to close/lock it, trapping us inside along with one remaining witness (a man in a green shirt who saw everything). The older man stayed at the top of the stairs, screaming severe, vulgar profanities at us ("b--ches," "don't f--k with me"). To escape the situation, I felt forced to let an employee search my tote bag. After moving my things around, the employee confirmed my bag was empty, told the older man we had nothing, and stepped aside so we could exit. My friends noticed the older man holding a cup with what appeared to be liquor, which explained his erratic, slurring behavior on the clock. By the time we walked back to my car, police had already arrived outside. As Black customers, this felt deeply targeted, unsafe, and traumatic. No customer should ever face false imprisonment, intense verbal assault, and forced searches. Avoid this store at all costs.
