I stopped by True Vine to do some browsing a few weeks ago when I was in the area. It's not large,…read morebut it had an interesting selection. However, I'm pretty headache-prone in businesses that smell heavily of cigarette smoke. I couldn't stay inside very long for that reason. I was able to find a few things I took home, but I probably wouldn't return to True Vine over some other record shops in the city. The shop does have a classic old store front/facade as well a some great decor. Worth stopping in if you collect vinyl, are checking out the city's record shops, and are in the area!

They also offer a wide variety of new and used pop, indie, hip hop, etc. Chances are they will have what you are looking for. When I was gifted a duplicate punk album for Christmas, I brought one copy here for a trade in and was given a very fair price. The prices here seem very competitive to online resources, corporate shops and other local record stores. I love that the store also hosts events around releases and Record Store Day, presents concerts and puts out exclusive records making it more than just a record shop. They had a large store with clearly labeled although crowded, aisles of comic, anime, cartoon, manga, clothing, and other items. This store is clearly a comic book lovers dream with a library of new and vintage ones that were for sale. They even had a basement area filled with comic books to purchase in bulk and video games to play. There are other shops in Fells Point where you can get new releases and reissues, which are great of course, but this is my preferred record shopping experience. Based on that, I love this place. The record shop is within short walking distance of the water taxi. It's close to the corner of Aliceanna and South Broadway. It's also across the street from Cafe Latte'da, where you can get a coffee to caffeine up before looking through records. The store is located in the lower level of the building, so you take a few steps down to enter. It's a small space, but it's packed with records and there are things to look at all over the place. Don't forget to look down because there are also crates on the floor to look through, too. Every time I've gone there, I've seen the same guy, who really knows his music and what's in the store. My boyfriend and he talked about pre-war Memphis blues music once while I found a super-cheaply priced copy of David Johansen's Live It Up in good condition (I was all excited). Anyway, this is a great shop. Only one thing for those with allergies - consider taking a hit of fexofenadine/pseudoephedrine a.k.a. There are tables and people were in there quietly working. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me cheerfully and assisted with making my selection. Although they have food, nothing on the menu caught up with my appetite. I got the forest latte-one of their specialties. Its definitely one that many may not like bur for me it was good. Reminda me of nature and mind clearing with the notes and taste og sage that also promotes a smoke after taste; weird but good. If in the area try it for yourself.
