Leading up to the event, communication was professional and helpful. The issue arose immediately after checkout. Less than an hour after checking out (on the morning following our wedding, while my husband and I were beginning our honeymoon) I received multiple back-to-back emails regarding post-stay issues. Receiving these communications at that time caused significant and unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful and once-in-a-lifetime moment. While I understand that property standards and rules must be enforced, the timing, volume, and tone of the messages made the situation far more stressful than it needed to be. In my view, these matters could have been addressed in a more measured and considerate way, especially given the context of a wedding weekend. For a property that is marketed and promoted as a wedding and event venue, it would be beneficial for management to be more mindful of how and when post-checkout issues are communicated to clients. A more thoughtful approach immediately following checkout (particularly for wedding stays)could prevent unnecessary distress and preserve what is otherwise a positive guest experience. The property itself was lovely and our wedding was beautiful. Unfortunately, the way the post-checkout communication was handled overshadowed what had been an otherwise positive experience.

The floor was so gross and sticky that I had to mop immediately. Bathrooms rugs were left in the washer. I realized they were in there when they started to stink. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher. The condo smelled very musty. I made the mistake of booking a few extra nights with A1A direct versus through Vrbo. After being in the condo for a while, the mustiness was triggering very bad allergies. I called to cancel just the 2nd reservation of 3 extra nights ...2 weeks prior to the beginning of that portion. Even though their cancellation policy is 2 weeks prior, they refused to refund. Again, the first reservation was through Vrbo and the 2nd through A1A ... for the same condo. The few phone calls I had with A1A, she was rude and argumentative. I will NEVER book through A1A Realty Associates ever again. I would never recommend them ever

For our kid companions, both were essential! Both ocean access and the providdd pool were great. They were 14 or under so they enjoyed the pool even with air temps close to 59... (hearty souls...). But that said-- even in my own visits, I noted no water or facility concerns. All seemed exceptionally well cared for. But all that aside, our unit was in great condition. We had a 3 bedroom, 2 bath... kitchen and all else was reasonably outfitted. We cooked many of our dinners here and had all we needed. Similar for breakfast. We also loved we were just a couple miles from all things St. Augustine tourist-wise. We drove up several days. It was literally a few minutes drive, and there is ample parking at the city garage should you not find other options. We enjoyed several days of walking adventures from there. This is a great home-base property for relaxing or adventuring!

Very nice and great location, easy to walk around downtown to see all the sights of St. Augustine. The room was spacious, smaller bathroom but not too small. The bed, pillows and blankets need to be updated as the bed was not comfortable. Check in was great and all automated if you accept access via text communication. Breakfast was nice, delivered to our room. It was freshly made and very tasty. There is seating on the balcony outside of the room that was very comfortable. Staying here feels very home like and relaxing.

The directions and instructions for check in were a breeze and the home was lovely, clean and very comfortable. The B&B and rental homes are located close to the historical sites and shops of St. Augustine and within a very short walk. We are already taking about coming back next year! It was that great!

Our first visit a few years ago was honestly adorable--the kind of cozy, charming bed & breakfast experience you hope for in a historic town. This time, there were definitely some changes. Let's start with the positives: The location is still amazing--right next to one of our favorite spots, Pierre's Pub, which makes it super convenient for a fun night out. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the pillows were perfect, and the weekday front desk receptionist was hands-down the highlight of our stay. She's always so warm, friendly, and accommodating--truly a gem. That said, the overall vibe felt different this time around. The lobby has been redone and looks nice, but it seems to have lost some of that quaint B&B charm we remembered. The courtyard, which used to be such a welcoming place to relax with coffee or breakfast, felt a bit run-down and not as well maintained--like something was missing, even if we couldn't quite put our finger on it. We stayed in Room 4 again, and just a heads up: it's on the third floor and requires climbing into the tub to shower. If you have any mobility concerns, this could be a challenge and potentially a slip risk. The biggest change for us was the removal of breakfast. It's now just an inn rather than a true bed & breakfast. While they did send an email about this after booking, we didn't fully realize the impact until we arrived. For us, that morning coffee-and-breakfast experience is a big part of why we choose B&Bs--especially in a place like St. Augustine where there are so many great options. Parking is also a few blocks away, and while maps are provided, it can be a bit confusing to navigate at first. Overall, it's still a good location with comfortable rooms and wonderful staff, but it didn't have the same warm, welcoming feel we fell in love with before. For that reason, we'll probably try a different bed & breakfast next time--just personal preference.

Screens are so rusted they wouldn't close, one door was almost imposable to shut. It just went through the worse remodeling. The cheap floors are buckled and cracked so bad that my wife thought the second floor was to cave in. The light fixture over the dining room keeps flickering, making us worry about the place burning down. They had remote light switches that were so poorly installed that when you remove them the holder came off the wall. The kitchen cabinets had this very cheap vinyl heat shrink that was very poorly installed. You could see where the walls were touched up by painting spots with unmatched paint color, you would think for remolding, they would paint all the walls.. All day the walls were banging from the apartment next door being remodeled. This kept the outside deck and chairs covered with sawdust. The beach access was nice.

It took us 8 minutes to walk to the fort from their location. They have a parking lot across street from the BnB. You will need one of their parking passes to park there. The breakfast they provide is delicious. They accommodate the vegetarian in our family with a nice breakfast. The rooms are vintage and in nice condition. They provide cable with hbo in each room. We were never in the room to enjoy that. The Friendly service, the comfort, and the feel of being at a vintage home, made or weekend amazing. They do offer military discount.
