My daughter, a high school athlete, was injured and had been going to physical therapy for months in Olympia (where we live) and going to chiropractor and a massage therapist. Months had gone by with not a lot of marked improvement. As her parents we were very frustrated as she was not getting better and we were putting a lot of money out. We were frustrated that she was frustrated. We were frustrated with the lack of communication from the PT staff and their lackadaisical attitude towards a plan with an end date. We were recommended to Dr. Buckholz. We made the drive up and we are so glad we did. He KNOWS his stuff and better than that - he LISTENS and CARES about his patients. He truly does. He genuinely wants to figure out the problem and you can tell through his warmth and patience that he loves what he does. My daughter was not just another number to him. He explains things in a way we can understand and makes sense. He gave my daughter hope and exercises and stretches to do herself at home to help speed recovery. My daughter continued to drive up to see him and made huge improvements within weeks.She has been released back for full play but still checks in with him occasionally. I can not say enough good things about him and his staff. Theresa is the epitome of a friendly professional. She is super nice to talk to, efficient, and kind. It is a busy place for a reason. Everyone is really nice and focused on helping you achieve your goals. Yesterday I saw Preston (the owner) He was interested in how I got hurt and how to help me get better. I can tell he genuinely cares about the people who go there (both staff and customer). I originally walked in because North Harbor is close to my home but I will contue to go there because of the quality of care. I had hand surgery and my doctor sent me here for a custom splint. The girl making it kept saying she was doing arts and crafts, arts & crafts. Almost singing it. I was to wear it while sleeping. It didn't last one night. I called the first morning and was told I'd get a call back very soon. I let him know I was leaving town for 2 weeks the next day. I got a call back at 4:25pm being told come now but we close at 5pm. I live 45 minutes away with no traffic. Nothing I could do. I left on my trip, contacted my doctor and explained my situation. He instantly gave me a recommendation on Amazon for an off the shelf split for less than $50 which I actually got that same day. Then the bill came in from this place, they billed my insurance $4500 which all but $500 was paid. Now of course this place wants (expects) me to pay the that! We were referred here and the first session was an evaluation session so don't know how the actual PT will go. Reception area is small but the folks working there are very nice and helpful. We went into the evaluation room right on the time of our appointment which is important I think. Megan was the therapist and she was very pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. Tested my husband to see what would be needed, made suggestions of things he can do at home and evaluated what he was already doing. Since he's supposed to be seen twice a week for two months and they are very booked up the PT wasn't sure what to do about getting him in. The receptionist waved her magic wand and was able to schedule him starting next week through 8 weeks. Very important and very much appreciated. Will evaluate again after the actual therapy starts.

After setting up my intake and being told I was to have a co-pay of $13.50 per visit I did the initial 12 visit regimen paying each time I went, ( I have very good health insurance through the WA St employees program ) sometime during that time I got a text saying I had an outstanding balance so I immediately called the number given and was told not to worry it was a glitch due to the lag between insurance payments and billing. I ended up extending another 3-4 weeks as I was getting some relief however minimal. A couple weeks after my final appointment I get another message that I responded to and was told my copay should've actually been more like $40 and that I now owe them about $200 ! These guys are sketchy as F&$@ and I wouldn't give one star if that was an option. I wish I had just bought the Triple Method Shoulder Massager that I found online for $65 in the first place. It has given me much more relief in 2 weeks than I got from ATI in 2 months.

Not such a fan of the stem... To me kinda feels like ants crawling all over your skin... But I just deal with it because the results are amazing! Heating and icing as well were recommended, as with most injuries! I should have written this review a very long time ago but I don't like leaving negative reviews. Hopefully things have changed since that time but this was not a good experience at all. My initial visit was just assessment and paperwork. The second visit was a nightmare. I checked in for my appointment and the lobby reeked of sweaty body odor. It was so strong and disgusting! I assumed it was another client waiting to be seen. I couldn't wait to be picked up so I could leave the lobby area. My appointment was with the manager/PT gentleman. As he led me back to the table I realized IT WAS HIM that smelled so bad. I just didn't even know what to say to him!!! Almost an hour I had to sit through that smell and him and the other therapists just talked and gossiped the ENTIRE time. Just YAPPIN!!! It was SO loud, smelly and uncomfortable. I ended up cancelling all my appointments there. Left with a migraine. There was no way I was returning to that. I ended up rescheduling all of my appointments at the Lakewood location with a traveling therapist. Unfortunately she was filling in at the UP location, so I went there to see her. This time, thankfully, there was only one other therapist with her client. However, she happened to recognize me from my first visit/assessment with her. It was obvious she recognized me and had a bit of an attitude. I thought maybe I was just being overly sensitive perhaps. But then my therapist noticed her behavior as well and we tried to stay away from her. I would normally end my sessions on the seated stepper for about 10 to 15 minutes. There were about 3 or 4 of these type machines available. This therapist brought her client over and told me she needed the machine for her client and to move. The exchange was so uncomfortable that her client said no that's okay I can just go on this machine here. My therapist and I just stared at each other in disbelief. The blatant attitude was just gross and unnecessary. Needless to say I am in current need of a physical therapist and I would NEVER EVER go back to this place again. Enter at your own risk!!!
