Had a very painless experience with Anchor blind. We had two large windows to dress -- one in kitchen and another at stairwell. Armi came and came up with a proposal within 15 minutes, quoted us, and left. With other designers I had to discuss 1 to 2 hours discussing options, but Armi was able to reach the exact same conclusions I had with other designers in minutes -- so really she is just efficient. Installation finished quickly too. They were able to get the curtains in weeks as quoted and install the next day. The installer also spent a good amount of time making sure that I know how to work the honeycomb blinds to avoid damaging in the futures. I don't even have my blinds yet, this review is just for Armi's great attitude and service. She was so helpful during the picking out process--I called her after she had already left, with a possible change, and she stayed on the phone and went through the Hunter Douglas website with me as we looked at how the blinds would go with various room colors. Next, I got new windows installed today (from someone Armi referred me to); they did the upstairs and will finish the downstairs on Monday. Armi planned to have my blinds installed Monday after they were done. I called her at 1:30 (it's Friday afternoon, too) and asked if it was possible to have someone come install the blinds just on the new windows, as I realized that the old roller shades I had been using would no longer work on the new windows, leaving me with no window cover at all in my bedroom. She first said no, then called me back 15 min. later saying she had talked to the installer and he was willing to come to my house at 6:30 to install the upstairs blinds. To me, this is above and beyond service. I can't imagine most businesses doing this. I will tell everyone I know about Armi's business. read more

I recently used Anchor Blinds for window treatments for our livingroom, office and kitchen. I was at a total loss as to what to install. I saw all the 5star reviews so called them. They were helpful and right on time. Within two hours all my windows were measured and they quickly figured out what I liked and what I didn't like. Great experience with Anchor Blinds. The initial consultation was quick and informative. They have a wide selection and are very knowledgeable about all of their products. While we were busy talking about styles and colors, the other member of their two-person consultation team measured all of our windows - even the hard to reach ones - and was done before we were! The prices were very competitive and they let you put half down at the time of order and the other half at installation. The gentleman that came to install was such a pro. he noticed that the window frames on several of our windows were bit crooked and he rehung the blinds in a way that obscured that fact. He was very patient, explaining how each type of blind we ordered worked (we had simple pull up and down, top down/bottom up, and a self adjusting roll up kind that took some getting used to. The entire process was easy and our end result gave us just the right effect. I especially loved that the consultant was honest if she didn't think a particular style or color was right for us. They are the professionals and sometimes our wants get ahead of our brains, so it was nice to have a thoughtful and honest person to help steer our choices. Armi and her team were wonderful. We needed blinds in a bedroom and the living room, and the bedroom windows included a pair with a slanted top frame. Armi met with us to discuss the type of blinds we wanted (e.g. room-darkening vs light-filtering; pull-up vs pull-down vs both; cordless vs not) and to take measurements. She also helped us--very patiently--to pick suitable colors. Once the blinds arrived, her team installed them in about an hour. Before leaving, the team showed us how to operate the blinds and adjust them if the bottom started to slant, and told us to contact them if the blinds ever had to be serviced or removed. A few weeks later, Armi emailed us to check how the blinds were doing. Overall they have been wonderful--we love the light-blocking shades in the bedroom. We had noticed one of the strings threading through one of the blinds was getting slack, so I mentioned this to her and the next day someone came to take a look. It turned out it only needed an adjustment using one of the plastic screw tabs they'd left with us earlier, but the man was very nice about the whole thing and left us another tab just in case. We've used Anchor Blinds twice now. We're happy to help support such a knowledgeable and thorough local business. We placed our last order just before stay at home orders were put into effect. As soon as installation was allowed, we received a call, outlining their new safety features and asking if we would like our shades installed. We recently purchased shades for our new lower level family room from Anchor Blinds. Our sales rep, Armi, was efficient and thorough in going through the process to determine the right window treatments for our home. I was a little unsure about what to choose but after some encouragement, decided to go with the more expensive energy efficient choice. We moved on to fabric choices and I was VERY unsure about if I was making the right choice, but I have to say that Armi nailed the color and I couldn't be more pleased. Fast forward to installation day ... I got a call from our installer (sadly, I can't remember his name, but he was GREAT!) and he worked with me to find a time to install our shades the very same day! He accommodated our schedule and actually came to our house at 6:00 p.m. Installation was a breeze - that was the fast part! Teaching us to use the top down/bottom up retractable cord shades took a little longer. He was infinitely patient, didn't seem in a hurry, went over and over the procedure for raising and lowering our shades and didn't leave until he was satisfied that we at least marginally knew what we were doing! I will confess that I didn't shop around and compare prices - it was one-stop-shopping because we were anxious to get the project completed. My sense is that the product was maybe a little more expensive than other places offering similar services (and certainly more than if we'd done the DIY stuff on-line). For our situation though (we have large and oddly shaped windows), it was probably better to go with a more hands-on approach from the vendor., In the end, I think the customer service - especially on the install made up for the higher price point. Bottom line, the shades are beautiful, the service was efficient and we're happy. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who might be looking for window treatments. read more

After having an 'uninspiring' consultation with 3-Day Blinds, I called Anchor Blinds on a whim because I received their flier in the mail. Am I glad I did! Armi came for a consultation, and was SO helpful in selecting just the right products for form, function, and safety with our two young children. Her suggestions were spot-on, and everything looks like a natural extension of our new home. Armi could answer all our questions about energy efficiency right off the top of her head, and she gave us the actual price of everything right here in the house during the consult--something that 3-Day Blinds took WEEKS to get for us. And even more surprising, they were LESS expensive than 3-Day Blinds, which is amazing, considering I don't expect to have savings like that with a local business versus a national one! I bought top down bottom up shades from Anchor when I first moved into my house, and was so happy with the way they looked I called Armi for a suggested an affordable solution for the sliding glass door, which I think are the hardest of windows to decorate. She suggested a panel which looks beautiful and perfectly compliments with the shades. In my opinion what really makes Anchor Blinds stand out as a great company is their customer service. We called a couple competitors that also had great reviews on Yelp. The first one missed the appointment - bad sign so we didn't even reschedule. The second came over and bought a stack of samples and was just short of saying "Pick what you want and let me know." We were looking for a little bit more advice/hand holding. When Armi from Anchor Blinds came over first she sat down and discussed what we liked and didn't like and what we might be looking for. Then she toured the house. Only then did she go out and get some samples. Again, not many samples to overwhelm us with choices, but just those that she thought would fit our style/home. I appreciate that. I'm sure if we wanted to see 100 blind/shade samples, she could have provided them... but to me too much choice isn't always a good thing! Installation was fast, efficient and perfectly done. One last note, this review is coming from someone that is almost always over critical of service providers. I'm continuously let down by those that I feel don't take enough pride in their work. I called them to see if they had a service tech who could come to my house to change the batteries in my power blinds and also install a new pull cord on a a large up/down blind in my bedroom as I am disabled now. The lady asked if I bought them from their store and I said no it was several years ago through Costco - She rudely said then for me to call Costco - I said I just wanted to hire a tech to come out to my house. She hung up on me while I was about to explain that I wanted to see about installing another blind in my kitchen area. I realized that the line had gone dead and I was talking to 'space'. I will now never do business with them as she was so rude and I thought I would work with a local small business - maybe they need more PR training. read more

We needed window treatments FAST for a new house we were buying (think "ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD can see me from the shower" kind of need), and they came, had one woman measure ALL the windows (in case we wanted more blinds later) while Armi talked to me about our options. She was sensitive to our budget and had a great array of options for us. I had no idea what to do color-wise and Armi saved the day again. We came away with some FANTASTIC black out blinds for the bedrooms, and privacy blinds for the bathroom. They were delivered right on time and installed the day we moved in (phew)! Fast, professional, and polite! **Update** One set of blinds had a manufacturing defect that caused them to start to sag after a few weeks. I called another company, just for due dilligence, and their first appointment was three weeks away. I'm impatient, but right there that told me something about the level of customer service I'd receive with Anchor Blinds. 2) The consultation itself was great--I was shown a lot of options and everything was explained very thoroughly. Without even getting any other estimates I just went for it--I trusted Anchor completely after that first meeting. 3) Only two weeks after that my blinds were installed--quickly, professionally, and without any issues. I was SO glad for the suggestions Armi gave me because my blinds look amazing in my home--it's some of the best money I've ever spent. 4) And AFTER the install Armi stopped by to check on the work and make sure there were no problems. I couldn't recommend Anchor Blinds enough! They were so nice and helpful. We recently moved into a new home and of course the windows weren't standard sizes. We wanted the light-reducing (formerly known as blackout) blinds for our bedroom and daughter's room. The consultant came to visit, showed us our options, answered all our questions, and was so friendly. The blinds came in and were installed about 3-4 weeks after ordering as promised.
