I prob should have reviewed these guys in Dec 2016 when they installed some blinds for me, but I never got around to it. They told me if I ever hand any problems with my blinds, they would fix it. My Hunter Douglas automates blind stopped responding, so I sent an email at like 4:30 today. Tech guy called at 6:30, talked me through the fix and it was fixed by 6:40. I feel like almost everything is pulling teeth to get things done, so having A+ service is so refreshing. Love these guys. read more

So many great reviews, yet I'm still motivated to write another 5-star review for Anchor Blinds! We've used them twice now and couldn't be happier with them. The person on the phone was polite and efficient and squeezed us into Armi's very full schedule. Armi was, as always, awesome in helping us pick the right types of shades and colors. We were in a mad rush to get the shades as we were going on a month-long trip and didn't want bare windows while we were out. Luckily, Anchor Blinds came through and got us most of our shades in just under 5 weeks. Wyman and Brandon were quick and professional. They came with masks on and took off their shoes at the door. We've had so much work done in our new house over the past few months and most folks don't show the same courtesy. Since some over our roller shades arrived later, we had to get them installed after our month-long trip. When we got back from our trip, Wyman called me the next day (without me needing to call them) to set up an installation appointment. I was in meetings all day so I just let Wyman and Brandon in - they set things up, left me with instructions, and closed the door on the way out. I am a writing a review about Anchor Blinds that is long overdue. I was referred to Armi and Anchor Blinds by my sister several years ago as we were both looking at installing blinds for our windows. I called Armi and she was very professional, personable and helpful. She was able to come to my home to take measurements for my blinds within a day or two of my initial call. We met, she was extremely helpful with making a decision for which type of blind(s) to purchase for my bedrooms, dining room area and living room. I was very impressed with her client friendly attitude and the time she took to really listen to my needs and wants. I ordered blinds for my two bedrooms with blackout in the material. They are fantastic! Wyman is a gem with his no-nonsense approach to installation. Both he and Armi are really great at explaining the various types of blinds that can be used and both had my best interest at heart from the beginning. Due to weather conditions getting colder over the years, I decided to have Anchor Blinds install blinds in my dining room area, the door to my balcony and the living room. Due to the fact that Armi had already measured ALL of my windows on her initial visit, all of the necessary information for installation was already there. Within days of calling Anchor Blinds to do this job, I had the remaining blinds installed!!! Wow, this was fantastic! Both Armi and Wyman are courteous, polite, professional and personable people. I am so happy with my blinds! Our new home has A LOT of extra large windows and we were looking for a local company for custom blinds. We were able to make a consultation appointment the same week, and Armi and team arrived on time. They measured all of our windows and provided recommendations on the types of blinds that would work best with our house, as well as the color and design. After ordering the blinds, they came in about 6 weeks. They called to schedule the installation right away. She told us everything we need to consider to make an informed decision (e.g. opacity, length, which side to put the string for roller shades) and provided her point of view when we asked for it. We took quotes from about 4 different vendors and chose to go with Anchor because of how easy it was to work with them. Armi was recommended by our realtors while we were looking at installing blinds in our new townhome. She was extremely patient and professional, took the time to explain different options after listening to our use case for our home and also our budget. She took her time to take measurements, explained the different options available in our budget and then provided some recommendations and justifications as to why these are good for our use case. Once we placed the order it took them 4 weeks to arrive because of the holiday season during Xmas and new years but once they arrived installation was done very neatly. They also cleaned up after they finished their work. Infact one of the blinds had an unnoticeable very light patch in the bottom right corner which I did not notice but Wyman did and he himself said he will place a replacement order and get this fixed. Now that is some high end professionalism and customer service. Once the replacement blinds arrived for that one window installation took 5 mins and it was done. We are so very happy with our new shades from Anchor Blinds! Everyone at this company is awesome. Lucy in the main office is terrific and quick to respond to getting you an appointment set-up. Armi is the consultant that comes to your house to do the measurements and show you samples. She was spot on with her suggestions on colors and materials for our rooms. She was able to point out a correction we needed to make on our skylights so we could hang the skylight shades correctly. Wyman is the installer and does a terrific job. I really appreciate how he took the time to explain everything regarding our motorized blinds and make sure we had it set-up correctly on the app. We are sleeping so much better at night now that we have our Powerview Black Out shades installed! Also- as a side note, this company has been top notch in these crazy COVID times. They are VERY careful to make sure to take your temp before the installation and very carefully lay down guidelines to ensure everyone is being safe. She provided great recommendations and helped us decide on our blinds. She had samples so we could try the different options (cordless is AMAZING). We had great experience with Anchor blinds! Our house has over 30 windows and all of them need blinds. Armi was very knowledgeable and patient in helping us choose the best for different rooms. There were some pretty tricky windows along the way and she can always come up with a great solution. One of the window was super wide and therefore limiting some fabric options. Armi was able to suggest some great solutions for that and they turned out super elegant. The installation was excellent as well. Wyman was on time and seems very experienced. He made sure to vacuum all the window sills, even the ones that are 20 feet above ground! He even went above and beyond to offer to change out the regular light bulbs in our chandelier to LED ones as it'd be super hard for us to climb that high. I bought blinds through Anchor blinds just over 4 years ago. Then, about 10 days ago, one of the blinds broke as I was trying to open it. I called Anchor Blinds and they got back to me right away. Armi arrived for the consultation with the perfect gray sample. She took measurements and came up with a quote for roller shades and a quote for honeycomb blinds within an hour. I saw the high reviews for Anchor Blinds on Yelp, so I decided to give them a try and they did not disappoint. They provided an initial estimate over email (based on my measurements/preferences) to see if I wanted to move forward. Once I did, an in-person appointment was scheduled within days with Armi. Armi had a lot of samples to show us and helped us to pick out what would work best for our technical needs (privacy, no light) and aesthetics with colors/patterns -- and we selected vertical panels. The manufacturing timeline is a little padded b/c of COVID unpredictability, but ours came in well before the expected date and the installation was scheduled within a couple of days of the phone call. All of their employees follow COVID protocols (more than probably any business I visit, including doctor's offices), so we felt comfortable throughout the entire experience. Everyone I interacted with was really responsive/prompt with their communications and set expectations of when we'd hear from them next. After searching and contemplating on the different 'budget' blind companies there are out there I decided to go with a local company, Anchor Blinds. Armi is awesome! She was able to work with me on getting 3 different manufactures blinds into one place, but make them look nice, matching and save me a couple $$$'s along the way. She definitely knows her trade and is willing to explain to you the different options. She had photos, samples, pricing and a calculator there with her at the first appointment in the house and was able to give me the fulls estimate by the end of the 1hr session. (Plus a reciept, a company info folder for ref.) The whole crew was punctual, professional, and had good communication. Armi and her crew are the most delightful people to ever work with when you get blinds. Armi arrived at our home (early) and proceeded to efficiently help us narrow down the options based on what works for our home and what our own preferences were, while another of her team took measurements of all our windows. She took something we didn't know anything about and made it extremely fun. She explained all the options and priced those we wanted to compare (pricing was easy because they had already taken measurements by then). We kind of wish we could go through it again just because it was so enjoyable. Armi's installation team (Wyman and another person) arrived (early) and efficiently installed the blinds we ordered. They were pleasant and professional and the blinds worked flawlessly. They also took the time to make sure we knew how they worked and to explain further details (warranty, details about how to care for the blinds, etc.). Fair warning: both Armi and her installation team showed up VERY early (like over an hour early), so you may want to be prepared for that. Or not--I'm sure they would have come back later if it was inconvenient for us; we were able to make it work, so we invited them in early. The blinds, also, are pricey but they are worth it. I'm so frustrated that this company has no way to track, monitor, or estimate the time it takes for delivery. The most specific timeline I've gotten from them is 'it usually takes a month'. Here we are in 2015 and I can track my online orders to the specific day of delivery. And Anchor Blinds can barely track to the specific month, and not week or day. For a high cost item as blinds are, I would expect this company to have clearer guidance as to the delivery windows with a way to look up the status online - like one can expect from most other modern companies today. read more

We had our first newborn on the way and urgently needed blinds for our empty house. While we don't normally spring for white glove treatment, we were out of time and needed expert help, fast. Cue Anchor to the rescue. Armi came out, took measurements, and most importantly collaborated with us on what would be best for our specific needs (price, energy efficiency, what worked for each room relative to sun and neighbors, etc.). We are lucky to have some very large windows, but that was a constraint to the sizing and types of blinds we could choose that she also helped us navigate. We ended up getting a basic Hunter Douglas design with a handful of automated blinds. Anchor communicated proactively as the blinds were made, and worked with us to schedule the installation before our newborn arrived, which we couldn't be more thankful for. Here are some more examples of how Anchor provided amazing customer service and results: * Extensive testing of our automated blinds revealed one had issues. Wyman worked with the manufacturer to get another blind produced right away without having to send them the defective blind first (which would have added significant lead time). I'm sure that another company wouldn't have noticed the nuanced problem, and we'd be stuck wrangling with them. * We didn't have wifi set up when the installation was done, so they left us with a remote temporarily free of charge until we could set up our hub. * Proactively installed extra battery packs based on their knowledge of how fast the larger automated blinds would run out versus smaller, neighboring blinds. * Set up our hub, which was tricky as they had to do a hard reset on each blind as a byproduct of getting rid of the temporary remote. My wife and I are tech savvy, and we wouldn't have been able to do this on our own. * Anchor elegantly handled literal corner cases, where it can be tricky to do a smooth installation where two blinds meet. Said another way, after reading more about blinds, the installation is really where things can go wrong with inexperienced or inattentive installers, and Anchor got all our details right. * We were never pressured in the buying process to get upgraded features or blinds we didn't need. In fact, we ended up with less than we thought we needed at the start. * Minor thing, but Wyman and team removed their shoes before coming into our house without being asked, whereas I've had to ask literally every other contractor. Obviously this isn't a reason to choose Anchor or pay more, but it's another example of Anchor's excellent customer service. * Hasn't happened yet, but they will come out if and when issues come up, such as a guest or kid breaking a blind mechanism. Four months later our blinds are still great and we couldn't be happier! However two neighbors on our block (who didn't use Anchor) are having issues now with their automated Hunter Douglas blinds after one year, and they are having to navigate how to get them fixed (installer, manufacturer, etc.). After hearing them, it's comforting to know we will never have those headaches, because even if issues come up, Anchor will have our back. read more

We were looking for new honey comb up/down blinds and sliding panels for sliding doors. We chose Anchor for several reasons. It is a multi vendor shop, the blinds came from one vendor while the sliding panels came from another. Armi, the person we worked with , was informative and professional. We met with or spoke to 3 other companies, which all came out to the house. Anchor does not do house visits, until you have narrowed down your parameters. At first that was off putting, but it proved to be a good thing as we needed to figure out how many windows needed blinds after a major remodel. After we were close to deciding on the final products, Armi came out to. the house and validated certain ideas and suggested a change to one of our configurations. That was all quite useful.
