**OVERALL REVIEW**
Though I love my hometown of Palm Bay, there are some wishes about it I want to come true, business-wise. Fortunately, said wishes are coming true, with the latest being a classic local coffee shop. I mean Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts can at times scratch a coffee shop itch, but it is nothing like one ran by a family with love.
Enter Anchor & Bean Coffee (which I will shorthand simply to Anchor & Bean for the remainder of this review), a brand, new coffee shop (as of the publication of this review) located at the southeast corner of Malabar Rd. and Babcock St. intersection. Formerly a food truck, Angel and Yvette - the amazing married couple whom they call Anchor & Bean their business baby - have expanded to their first brick n' mortar location.
On the outside, many would consider said location to be a "starter location" as it doesn't have much exposure. However, Anchor & Bean has garnered an amazing following as a food truck, and their strongfast faith in Lord Jesus Christ, as they are centered on their Christian faith, has returned tenfold. In such a short time, I have seen so many people go in-and-out of the little coffee shop, often just to check it out, and suddenly they too are leaving with a cup of Joe and a pastry.
Over the multiple times I have been here within the short amount of time they've been open, I have enjoyed all their coffee and food. I had their iced and hot chai latte, hot chocolate, and as for food, three different paninis (grilled cheese, caprese, and Cuban), and one apple fritter. All I had, was good.
And the atmosphere inside, definitely worth enjoying if you want to rest ease within the presence of peace. The interior is so beautiful and Biblical. There is an open Holy Bible to read on a counter-top, two unique nooks to sit at, a reading corner, and a couple of tables to fill the space. Bible verse are complimentary to the walls and it all seems to fit well with the modern barn styles that are popular with churches and faith-based businesses.
Sidenote-wise, there are two restrooms, one for men and one for women. They are both clean and single-serving, thus I do have one critique that eventually, they might want to make it unisex.
Ultimately, I am giving Anchor & Bean a perfect score of five-out-of-five stars. The service, the food, and the ambiance are all amazingly fantastic. I am definitely going to be back to not just enjoy the food, but the company of Angel and Yvette, maybe even pray with them for continued success. read more
