10 stars for aesthetics and decor. I think the coffee is nothing special though aside from some cooly named specials. A large pumpkin cold brew with essentially vanilla-pumpkin cold foam was about $7.75. The large is truly tall and big. I don't think there was anything special about it though. The lost nights drink was okay, not a fan of the bitter and turmeric flavor profile. Free parking in the plaza lot. The cafe is overall somewhat small with a few tables and couch area. It has one private bathroom. Their WiFi is listed at the front and has a QR code.

**INITIAL REVIEW** First and foremost, I have to say that the OG Apocalypse Coffee Roasters is surely an indie coffeehouse GOAT in south Brevard area, specifically Melbourne and Palm Bay. Probably starting out as a small coffee venue in the back of the room when it was originally Florida Discount Music (FDM) during Open Mike's, it is now one of the top coffeehouses in the area. With that in mind, it was only a matter of time until Apocalypse Coffee Roasters (which I will shorthand to Apocalypse for the remainder of the review) would expand. Fortunately for me, that expansion went south, closer to where I lived as the newest location is in West Melbourne right on the city boarder of Palm Bay (Palm Bay Rd.). Unfortunately for them, when I went, they seem to still be getting their working legs warmed up because there were some major misses I must address despite their hits. Even though an address is provided, Apocalypse is located in Palm Crossing, the "Publix Plaza" located on the northeast corner of the Palm Bay Rd./Minton Rd. intersection. If it helps, it is also the plaza the West Melbourne location for The Soup Shop is located. Upon entering, you definitely get a cozier version of the "Fun End of the World" vibe that Apocalypse has, especially with their robot mascot standing like a sentinel on the right side of the room. It seems all the menu offerings they have from their OG locales is also here. That makes me happy as I love their Apocalypse Salted Caramel Breve. I finally got their bagel with lox too. Apparently, I am not the only one who suffered this issue as another patron had to make a note of this issue too. I got my bagel and lox, but my drink was forgotten. Seriously, they forgot to make my drink. Here I am sitting and timing them to see how long it would take for them to realize their mistake... and they did not. After 20 minutes, which I burned typing both restaurant reviews and travel blogs on my accounts, I went up to them and asked them when I will get my drink. They apologized and go it out, but 25 minutes for one drink is very disorganized. As a Yelp reviewer that takes my reviews seriously, I will now dub Apocalypse in West Melbourne the locale I go to to get me in the ambiance and mindset of writing a critical one or two-star review whenever I have to. Of course I will order a drink simply to make sure to see if there is improvement and the issues suffered previously were simply "being green behind the ears".

Great quality coffee served from an knowledgeable, friendly staff.Cozy inside with a sci-fi theme. Chill rock music playing in the background. The caramel breve was sweet, salty, a little thick and just the right amount of espresso. I met the owners at a blueberry festival last year. Great local business owners. They also serve breakfast and lunch.

A terrific ambiance with delicious pastries. I had the orange iced croissant. Relatively small, but ample seating choices. And freezing cold inside. It was great.

Outstanding specialty coffee and friendly, efficient service. The shop is clean with a relaxed, inviting coffee-shop vibe--ideal for quick pickups or casual catchups. Consistently well brewed drinks and a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Apocalypse Coffee roasters has always been a local gem of the community. Ever since it used to be open mics the blues club and guitar shop, to now of their more recent explosion of their original location Apocalypse Coffee roasters, and now this being their secondary location. I've been to the original location more times than I can count, and now this location being even closer might be a more regular stop for me. They have rotating signature latte, which have always been delicious every single time I've gotten one. As well as their actual coffee beans are ones that I love to purchase via their coffee bags and make it home. This location is much smaller than the original location which can lead to a little bit of a louder atmosphere here. So just keep that in mind if you're looking for a very quiet place to study, bring some headphones. I got the breakfast blast bowl and it was delicious. Their chipotle sauce is always one of the highlights of that bowl to me. I also got the love potion signature latte, which was also delicious with oat milk. It's important note that this is a local business and not Starbucks, so don't anticipate less than two minute coffee ticket times. They don't have a drive-through, so don't hold them to the standard of drive-through ticket times. From visiting two separate days, I've already seen the team as a whole get significantly faster at making coffees and food. It is only up from here and I look forward to seeing how much better this location gets. P.S. - the merch has always been very cool here over the years. I own numerous T-shirts, hoodies, espresso cups, and many stickers already. Support local businesses.

So thankful I stopped at this place as the coffee was amazing. I will definitely be coming back the next time I am in town. The atmosphere is crazy cool too! There's so much to look at while you wait for your coffee to be made.

Visiting the area and looked on the internet for an organic coffee place. Imagine my surprise when I actually found a place! Jim and I both ordered the mushroom latte with espresso shot. It was quite yummy. They also had some great food choices as well. It was just too early for us to eat. I would return here if we were in the area again.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, especially since they opened one up by my house. I stopped in before getting on the road to visit family and I was not disappointed. I got the bagel with lox and a cold brew with oatmilk and vanilla and both were delicious! I'm so picky with coffee and I'm so glad I found a coffee place with organic coffee that tastes so good. Customer service was outstanding, the young lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful especially when I was a little unsure of what to get. It's a great atmosphere as well, I liked that the lights were a little dim, would be a fun place to hang with friends. I'll be back! :)

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more As of this review, there are three kava bars located in south Brevard county, specifically in Palm Bay, FL: Kraken Kava Bar, Nocturne Teas, and Kalea Kava Bar. To further expand my kava horizons, I decided to go north and check out the other kava bars in my county. Simply because this kava bar is also owned by the same people who own Kraken Kava, I wanted to check out Pau Hana first. I will say their kava is a little better than the average, especially compared to certain locales in Historic Downtown Melbourne, but what I love the most is the ambiance and the fact I made some new kava community friends here, too. Though an address is provided, Pau Hana is located in Metro West, the strip mall that also home to the iconic card, board, and tabletop game store, Get Your Fun On, and the best sushi restaurant in all of Brevard County, Umami. Pau Hana is along the eastside of the strip mall just south of the gym. Just like most kava bars I have been to, it is a small-ish space, but what stood out first was the ambiance. Since kava originates from Pacific island nations, especially its believed origin of Vanuatu, many kava bars seem to opt for a stereotypical pacific islander vibe. Pau Hana, though the name is Hawaiian for "Finished Word," the interior seems more like a secret garden. The interior has flora arrangements, flowered vines, and a color scheme that matches the aforementioned secret garden theme, but it is not overly stereotypical of Pacific Island nations. There are also swinging chairs hanging from the ceiling, which I am unsure require a weight limit notice. I assume anyone can sit, but if you weigh more than 350 pounds, you may want to reconsider any thoughts on sitting in those said chairs. There is also a pool table in the back for those who would enjoy a game of 8-Ball, 9-Ball, One Pocket, or Cutthroat. I loved the drink menu they provided here, especially the kava mocktails. The two I had during my visits were the Horchata Kava and the Dirty Chai. The former is a kava mocktail that consists with your choice kava, oatmilk, cinnamon, vanilla and a garnish of a vanilla stick. The latter is your choice of kava, chai tea, vanilla, and your choice of creamer. I had it once with Irish cream and another time with hazelnut. Both were good. And speaking of kava mocktails, I have to give my regards to Eloise as she's been the kavatender every time I been to Pau Hana. Does an excellent job making my cocktails, but doesn't really have time to converse as every time I am there, the bar is somewhat packed. Ultimately, I am going to give Pau Hana a four-out-of-five star rating for its ambiance, its menu, and the fact my circile of kava community friends grew there. If the bar continues to be consistent in their service, environment, and menu, I will grant them their fifth star in an updated review.

There's also a pool table and some fun swinging chairs near the entrance that make the place super inviting. Eloise was my Kava tender and she was the absolute sweetest--super welcoming and kind. I tried 2x Original Kava Shells and 1x Kava Chai, and everything was smooth, balanced, and relaxing. Eloise made the whole experience even better with her friendly energy and helpful recommendations. Definitely a great spot to unwind--I'll be back!

**UPDATED REVIEW**…read more The last time I reviewed The 905 Cafe (which I will shorthand simply to 905) was early in my Yelping career. I don't even remember if I earned RED yet, but I surely enjoyed being honest about where I partook my patronage to. 905 received my highest rating for an initial review for a local business, and unless you know, that is always going to be four out of five stars because my fifth star is always earned for consistency as in "consistently being good/great/amazing!" I will stress that I haven't been back to 905 as much as I'd like simply because of work, but now that I have finally made many returns, I can happily say that after eight years (which is way too long if you ask me), I finally made enough visits to write that 905 is consistent and thus have earned their fifth star in which they are one of the few - after I have organized my reviewing style and detail - to be a perfect score local business. In general, all the details I described in my previous review are still effect, but there are some changes that need to be noted. Firstly, 905 is no longer located at 905. It is across the street at 908. They moved back in 2020 during the pandemic. Secondly, there are now more wares inside from local creators, and even a small book and media purchase area. Finally, I must stress how amazing the soups are. Take note that like any other place that makes one pot for the day and finishes that pot in said day, depending on the time you go and how much soup is left, you might get a "flavor bomb" at times. For example, if I show up just an hour or two before closing, my soup will be loaded with flavor because flavor settles over time, even if you mix the soup every so often. That's just the truth. Finally, the ambiance still has the feel of going to grandma's house, but a bit more modernization, too. Nothing too bad but it should be noted. And I don't think I said this last time, but the restroom is gender neutral and very clean. Only place in the entire restaurant where profanity is shown and I don't mean graffiti on the walls because they don't have that. You'll see if you go. Ultimately, they deserve their five-out-of-five stars and it has been a pleasure eating there. I always go back for their soups so I will definitely be around.

COCONUT ICED TEA: Like a sweet tea, but with a light coconut flavor (made with coconut water maybe)? Simple & refreshing. My bf's 905 Signature was... Sugary! Very sweet. **INITIAL REVIEW** I…read morehave to thank my friend Paula for letting me know about this coffee shop. For me, it is an experience seeing the place, in general, being so clean. For those who don't know, this location used to be a retail store for aquaponics so there was water and dirt all over the place... which is the norm aquaponics is a very cool and efficient way of gardening. Anyways, the location is now a new coffee shop, and since I am a huge supporter of the Cafe Passport, I am always looking for new coffee shops to heckle them to add to subsequent editions. Though an address is given as well as my description of what this location used to be, to further know better where Sunshine Espresso is, it is in the Minton Center, a strip mall on New Haven Blvd (US-192) that is just east of the intersection with Minton Rd. If it helps, Get Your Fun On and Umami is just a little ways northwest of this coffee shop. The first thing I noticed was the "drive-thru." I didn't utilize it, but it is cool they have a drive-thru option for those who want their coffee and food on-the-fly instead of stepping down. I, however, opted to step inside to soak in the ambiance. The place is minimalistic with a surf/beach vibe. Just like many restaurants these days, they made sure to utlize a "photo-op backdrop" for social media. Chad, the lone worker there happens to also be th owner/operator. Kind dude who I must congratulate on the Sunshine Espresso business getting up to that one-year mark (I think, I need to ask him again). Every small business owner knows that the first year is the "make it or break it" year, and it looks like Sunshine Espresso is doing well. As for what I ordered, I had the Apple Fritter Latte and two breakfast croissant sandwiches, one with bacon and one with sausage patty. First and foremost, the Apple Fritter Latte was delicious, but for me, the apple fritter flavor was kind of light. As a matter of fact, I could possibly mistake the latte simply as an apple latte because the fritter part seems to be missing or maybe te coffee flavor is blocking it. The breakfast sandwiches were good, and I have to applaud Chad for the integrity. It should be noted the sandwiches are not made from scratch, but assembled with high-end ingredients bought from Gordon's, assembled, and prepared on spot. It is kind of hard for him to make fresh food given the fact certain kitchen wares are lacking. Still, with what he has, he assembles and warms an excellent breakfast sandwich. Nothing wrong with such especially when the owner is being honest. Overall, this was a very good visit to this coffee shop. I will say the only "issue" is the location. I am not used to this area being a coffee shop location, so I have to get used to it. Yet, I look forward to visiting more times so I can.
