I really like this location. Being inside of a hotel makes the hours the best! The seating options are also top tier because you have access to the hotel lobby. The hotel uses a divine signature scent which definitely adds to the aesthetics. I always get a coffee or a tea but would like to try a pastry one day. There is a rooftop bar/restaurant on grounds as well so if you're looking for a nice coffee after your meal, this is a good option. read more

As a tourist who loves coffee (but not a total connoisseur), Foxtail's espresso flavor is absolutely the bomb.com. I'm spoiled back home with several great roasters and shops but Foxtail is right up there with the best of them! Absolutely loved my iced cinnamon honey latte... so much so that I tried out another location and ordered the cinnamon latte with honey cold foam. HONEY COLD FOAM= made from my dreams! Begging a coffee shop from Cincy to see this and take note! As for this location, it's connected to the Hotel Melby which provides a few more seating options but the shop itself has just a couple tables. Today was a study day, foxtail coffee looked intriguing and so I went. I choose the outside seating it was a shaded area that felt secluded and quiet. Drink wise I went with a classic cold brew, the coffee tasted fresh and strong. My only complaint would be that the cafe is kinda small. read more

THE GOOD: They have some strong coffee and chai lattes! Good location, always pretty easy to find street parking nearby. Super nice atmosphere, variety of seating options (indoor in the hotel lobby, the long bar tables shown below, and outdoor seating!), relatively quick service, and mostly friendly staff! And FUN FACT: This is currently the only coffee shop in Downtown Melbourne that is open 7 days a week. They also open before 9:00 which is fantastic for those of us needing coffee on our way into the office! THE BAD: Drinks are kind of pricey. I don't mind pricey if it's consistently good but my experiences here have not been. The drinks are super inconsistent, some of the baristas make the drinks wayyyy too sweet. Then other days they're great. But you just never know what you'll get. And when I'm in a rush taking my drink to-go, the risk of it not being right the first time isn't one I can always take. And their food/snacks aren't very good. I've wanted to like them and keep trying different things but, at least from what I've tried, they're small portions and bland and not always heated up consistently. I stop by here once a week or so to pass time away while I wait on my son at AKB. Their service is friendly and helpful. The ambiance is great! I love the indoor seating. They have outdoor seating too. They only have 2 small tables with 2 chairs indoors. Otherwise, They have plenty of bar stool seating. If you need to use their wifi, there is seating with outlets at the barstool. It's not very conducive for meetings. More like independent study or work. I've tried their Everything Bagel and one of their teas. It's all very good! read more

I tried out Foxtail after a Causeway walk with the family. I got my typical black coffee with two espresso shots and my wife tried out a lavender honey latte. Both options were great, and could tell they were fresh. My wife thought her latte was a little rich but I thought it was just right. She didn't hate it, but said she wouldn't have added the honey or gotten something else. There was a nice selection of pastries, nothing that seemed out of the ordinary, but we didn't try those. They did have a cooler where you could purchase a large craft of iced coffee which I thought was pretty cool. What I think was great about this spot was that it would be a perfect "office away from home" with all the people coming in going in DT Melbourne and through the lobby of the Hotel Melby (where it's located). There was a really cool vibe and tons of natural light that made this place stand out, in my opinion. I would definitely suggest this place to others and will going back myself. read more

Super chill vibes on the inside suitable for lounging & good seating with a nice scenery of the busy downtown traffic on the outside. I got their iced lavender coconut tea which was tasty & refreshing. My friend got the hot caramel cappuccino which she said was good as well. There was one barista at the time we visited , she was fairly sweet but just wish she would've shown a bit more enthusiasm! Great spot overall! Will be returning. read more

If you want service or friendliness, go anywhere else. I was there in the morning (930am) on July 24 and stood at the counter for a few minutes before being acknowledged. There was a man and woman behind the counter. The woman was making a couple drinks and the man was following her around asking about her plans like a puppy dog. I left, but decided to return a few minutes later and the man greeted me. It was then I realized he actually was working there and could actually serve customers and I was deliberately ignored so he could play his puppy dog begging routine with the girl. I told him I did not want to interrupt his conversation and left. This place is not worth the tine unless you want to see a man begging for a woman's attention. read more

Foxtail coffee... Was so excited about this new coffee shop coming to Viera. Couldn't wait for them to open so that I can start going there instead of Starbucks. So disappointed when I twice tried to get an extra hot latte and kept getting slightly warm drinks. The person in charge promised things would change and made all kinds of excuses as to why this was happening...they would still need to get used to the new machine, calibrate them machines properly, wouldn't make temperature checks etc. However, I still paid almost 7 dollars for lukewarm drink with an extra shot. Hasn't anybody had the same experience? If you have, make sure you voice it because I felt I was treated like it was just a one off, like it was in my head...just me, when I get these types of coffees all the time from Starbucks. I would love to hear from anybody out there that had the same experience so that Foxtail can make improvements and address the issue properly. Moreover, I even noticed the manager gave a few folks some cards for free drinks for their problems, and I had issues twice and she just came up with excuses. Beautiful place that is very enticing as you walk by at the base of a wonderful new hotel in downtown Melbourne, unfortunately the coffee products are lacking, when you order a hot cubano coffee and it takes 15min to make it, it should be hot. The Cubano unfortunately was way to sweet and cold. The atmosphere though and decor was nice. Staff was nice and pleasant and inviting and the low spanish music coming from the kitchen was fun (also fun was the back staff dancing and having a great time) . Maybe next time.... read more

Barista was clearly overwhelmed as I watched multiple incorrect orders. When I asked for my drink after watching customers after me leave, instead of correcting the issue the manager reviewed the receipts. Told me his barista rang up a latte and that's what I get. I said no, thank you, I ordered a cafe con letche. The customer next to me, who also ordered the same thing confirmed he heard what I said. Manager started to refuse to make the drink I paid for. Started to lecture me on the type of coffee difference from what I ordered to what they made. Yes, thank you for the education, I know the difference that's why I ordered it. Multiple customers around me all also in shock. Totally unacceptable and will not return to any of their local locations. read more

Olive, with a smile on her face, made me the best pumpkin cold brew I've ever had - not too sweet and just a touch of bitter. It put Starbucks to shame.
