Hands down, amazing customer service. I've been bringing my grandma here for her pedicures, eyebrow wax and manicures for the past few years. Anna's Nail salon is under new management and Tiffany (who is now in charge) is very attentive, takes her time and give amazing quality services. My grandma is a very picky person so that'll tell you how much of a good place this is. I decided to get my eyebrows waxed and get a full set yesterday, 09/11/24 and I was very pleased with both. This is not your typical modern salon but don't that that deter you from giving this place a try. I'm a very simple girl so I usually get short neutral colors, however they do amazing crafty work as well. Prices are discounted by 4% if paying with cash. Been going here for a while, they always do such a great job! The ladies here are so polite and friendly. Once it was raining and I was cold so one of the ladies brought me some hot green tea. Other times they bring me a water bottle. The service is great, my nails always look amazing, the price is better than any place I've ever been to. They are very talented at what they do and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my nails. I definitely recommend this place. Lady didnt even ask if i wanted a cut or trim and started cutting away. Extremely rough while cutting, filing, and moving back cuticles. She over cut on my toe and it was on the verge of bleeding. Toenails are all uneven and jagged sharp. I wanted a certain design done and rescinded back and just asked for 1 color after seeing the other girls toes and how their finished look came out. Also let me add my tech got up and disappeared for 20 minutes, the other tech had to go and check on her after I had told my friend/ she noticed I've been just sitting there. I didn't want to tip at all and still did. 4 of us went and the 4 of us came out extremely unhappy. I do not recommend this place at all. I forsure will never return and the other girls won't either. I was disappointed in my nails as I had specifically requested a design and when I asked her to do it she said okay ! only to come out with her freestyled version of what I actually wanted. I never went back because my friend also got her nails done there and her acrylic flaked after 2 days and we just felt that it was best we do our own nails from now on ! but the ladies were nice the service was okay. read more

i asked for the design i wanted before they did my nails and they said they could do them but once i was already done getting my nails and i was adding charms they said they didn't have ehat i needed, and they did a completely different design that i asked and they pushed my cuticle back too far and it's red and it hurts. read more

Love this place! It's a small intimate spa salon vs. your mega shops with 10+ technicians. Anna, her daughter and her mom are amazing and provide quality work. I love the fact they won't rush the work or cleanliness and will make sure you're happy before you leave. They do have spa massage chairs for adults and children ( pink kitty! ) Helpful hints as she's usually booked. If you try and walk in and she has a client she will let you know she's busy and to call and make and appointment. Again, she's the only nail tech (so don't be upset, nothing personal - she spends her time and values you as a customer not just a meni-pedi). * Make sure you make an appointment * and done be late :) it's called being courteous. You wouldn't want your appointment to be delayed because the person before you was late. I read a translated post from Ana's Nails who made a shield to protect customers due to the COVID-19 virus regulations. The shield was not a clear shield and her friend commented on not being able to see the customers. Ana's response was her customers are black so there's no need to see their faces. Updated review since someone reported to the good people at Yelp and claimed that these pictures are not related to the establishment! First off these pictures were taken when I got home as I did not want to cause a scene at the salon. I really liked this place after first discovering it over a year or so ago. It's a mother and daughter team so note that there are only two nail techs available. If you don't have an appointment expect to wait for a mere 5 mins to a whopping 2+ hrs. I'm very low maintenance. I hate artificial nails and the reason I needed them done is due to my inability to have chipped-free nails after 2-3 days. I'm leaving out of town tonight and I wanted to feel great about my "polished" nails. I've brought three pictures of designs that I thought were simple enough to do given that both ladies are not winning in the nail art department. Ana told me she wasn't able to do it. Disappointed of course, but since I loved my nails so much last time I decided to go forth and asked for a neutral/nude shade, round shape, gel nails. She showed me the powdered ombré designs and I decided to go for it. She then asked if I wanted glitter and gave me only three options : orange, purple or pink. The pan of glitter she showed me did not look intense and the glitter seemed to be very minimal, so I went ahead and said yes. A girl can use a little glitter right? I sat back in silent horror, cringing with every second of filing. Not only were my worst nail shop nightmares coming to life, but I honestly felt stuck in what to do. I asked her to make my nails more round as she left them completely square the first time! I'm talking about Spongebob Square! Chiclets square even! Don't know what Chiclets are?! GOOGLE it! I'm not much of a demanding customer so I expected something simple would be possible to execute. Please see pictures. They're pretty self explanatory. The very next day I went back to have them rounded and I wanted the nail color changed. I could not stand the nude with ginormous speckles of glitter that she put on my tips! I did not ask for the glitter to be on my tips. But she continued my nails in the same manner even after my dismay. Nothing ombré about them! She seemed peeved that I came back. Her mother started assisting me by filing my nails to be more "round". When she was done, Ana then shooed her away after interrupting a bout of conversation between her and her mother - stereotypically done in Vietnamese because that is always appropriate in front your English speaking customers. Please note my sarcasm. I bit the bullet and let her start on my nails. She asked me what color I wanted. I brought a bottle of OPIs 'dulce la leche' so she can try to color match it. She grabbed a mauve gel instead. I didn't want to even bother her about trying to look for another shade as it seemed the more I would ask for something it just made her more upset. Here's what really got to me : she didn't bother telling me she would be layering the new coat of polish on top of the job she done yesterday!!! I am completely sure that one would remove the older gel polish and apply the new one. Now I have very thick nails that are disgusting to look at. You can see every layer of polish used. She did such a bad job that made me question her ability as a nail tech THEN as a person. There was no empathy to correct the situation. I left with bubbles and "squaroundish" nails. She made me feel like such a nuisance for not being completely happy which I am floored by. Paid twice, tipped twice. I was not going to write this review until I got home and saw how poor my nails really looked. She knows I'm uncomfortable when I get my nails done because I seldom do. She did nothing to make me feel accommodated or welcomed after coming back to try to fix my nails before I go on vacation. Disappointed in customer service and overall business. I will wait quite awhile before I let just anyone touch my nails based on good Yelp reviews. Extremely rude! Called to ask cost to remove acrylic nails. Was told in a very annoyed voice that I had to come in to get a quote. I asked for a general range and was hung up on. I called back thinking perhaps the call was dropped and was very rudely told "I already told you you have to come in" and then hung up on again while I was talking. Underwhelmed on approach but glad I stayed. After jumping around for years, I think I have found my 'go to' salon here in Long beach. The mother - daughter duo did an awesome job. They spent a lot of time on my mani and pedi and were very focused on details. Keep in mind that this is a very tiny salon with only 2 spa pedicure chairs and three manicure tables.
