This place has awesome fresh food, they take a while because they cook the food fresh. The service is ok, the ladies that were there are not very people friendly but they are not rude whatsoever. Great place to try.

Short rib plate, chicken katsu and bbq chicken plate

Ana's Osland Grill is a great hole in the wall local spot. I'd say their musubi and otai (pineapple and watermelon drink) are the most amazing things I tried on the menu. Me and a friend arrived after a family of 4 and before another group of 2 people. We ordered the short rib plate, chicken katsu bbq plate, musubi and 2 otais (~$65 in total) to dine in and it took a while for us to get our food as they prepared it after we ordered. Unfortunately, the short rib and bbq chicken tasted very tough and overcooked, despite being freshly prepared. The macaroni was also a little too peppery for me. I'd come solely for the musubi and otai again, but I'd try the food again hoping it would be less overcooked.

I usually have Hawaiian food when I travel to San Francisco but this week a series of events didn't allow me to have it so I came home to DFW and searched for Island food and found Ana's Island Grill and boy was I happy to find them! It looks like a family run small place but don't let its small venue fool you, the flavors pack a good punch and the fish especially was delicious! The chicken was a just slightly on the tough side but the flavor was still good. Their service was friendly and the food was made right when ordered. The location is easy to access and the dinning room is humbly small. If you're looking for fast food just place your order ahead because they do cook it fresh so don't come in expecting your food right away. Remember they cook the meat fresh! Trust me the wait is worth it! There's only three tables so keep your parties small or place your order to go for larger parties. Give them a try and shout out your favorite dish.

Ambiance: this place is more of a "hole in the wall" but very good! They have seats inside but I would consider it more of a takeaway spot! Still very close to local food!!! A must try if you want some "local food" What did we order: -1 Teri beef + bbq chicken plate ( very good, would order again, a lot of food so you could share) -1 coconut shrimp + chicken katsu plate (10/10 best thing on the menu) Service: quick and Efficient * try the spam musubi

OMG this food is amazing!!! I stopped in a a few weeks ago as I was traveling for work and needed some lunch. The staff was very friendly and patient with me as I tried to figure out what I wanted. The food was cooked to order and tasted amazing!! I wish there was one close to me

Small little shop at the end of a shopping strip. Food selection is wide and my loco moco bowl was great. Perfect size for lunch!!

Tried something new and was disappointed. With tip, it was a $50 meal for what would be $30 at Hawaiian Bros. I rather support a local business but this did not meet the bar. The bbq chicken plate: rice was wet, bbq chicken tasted off- the sauce seemed okay but the chicken itself tasted funny. Macaroni salad was par and the side salad with ranch was not good and over dressed. The pork plate was similar with many of the above notes, and the pork itself was under seasoned. The best part of the meal that redeemed a lot of the visit was the musubi. They almost forgot it too. Way better than Hawaiian bros and on par for the ones I had in Hawaii. I highly recommend it! They added some teriyaki sauce on it and it was delicious. Overall, I think if the restaurant had better ac and lively music playing, it would give better vibes. When we went today it felt a bit sad with no music and hot air.

We love Hawaiian cuisine and we're glad to have such a good spot near us. Ordered the BBQ chicken bowl and a spam musubi. They cooked the meals to order so it took a bit longer for takeout standards but we definitely prefer freshness over speed. You can order online to mitigate the wait. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and I loved the side macaroni salad. We'd def return to try the other meats, recommend!

Small, hidden island restaurant. A little humid and warm inside and limited seating inside but a couple tables to sit outside. All orders are cooked to order, our plates were served right off the griddle with rice, mac salad and simple salad with lettuce & dressing. Customer service was nice, very friendly.

I really enjoyed the food here. Longer than expected wait but I believe most things are made to order so I can wait for fresh food.

They get a lot of online orders so they were busy with that, but I didn't mind because I was checking out the menu. I got the bento box and it was delicious. A large bed of rice with everything else sat upon it, I was pleasantly full afterwards. I grabbed a guava cake to take home and it barely made it home because the cake was DELICIOUS. I love guava and their confection was perfection. I seriously still think about it and can't wait to come back and try it again. I also got the wings, which were crispy and super favor full. I also got to try the butter and pumpk

Alright now, this place is a gem!…read more I work with someone who raves about this place, and I finally decided to try it. Walking in, the young lady at the register was so sweet and pleasant. I had an online order and arrived a bit early, she politely let me know there would be a little wait, and I did not mind. I would, much rather wait, than walk in twenty minutes early to see my food just sitting there. It is a small space, but one that comes with warmth. What I chose: Mixed Plate Teriyaki Beef - The first bite, YES! The meat was seasoned so well, I was afraid the teriyaki sauce would overtake the flavor; it didn't. Both, the sauce and the seasoning complemented each other very well. The beef was thinly sliced and free of fat. I can't stand enjoying a bite, and out of nowhere, boom, a piece of fat. I'm not a beef person, but I'm so happy I tried something different. Hamburger Steak: I couldn't wait to try this, it's delicious! The patty is plenty and well seasoned; it isn't heavily seasoned, but well seasoned. It was juicy and not dried out, which sometimes happens. The gravy was perfect, and went perfectly with the meat patty. Next time, I will ask for more gravy and onions. I love grilled onions with meat patties. With my order, I asked for steamed veggies, but received rice instead. I don't eat rice often, but this is the one time I was happy with the mishap. I had a small bit with the gravy and patty, delicious!! Sides: Mac Salad and Rice - I didn't order rice; instead, it should have been steamed veggies. As I said above, the rice ended up being a great mishap; it was perfect with my meat patty and gravy. The mac salad, sadly, I didn't like. It wasn't horrible, it just didn't hit the right taste buds. Chocolate Mac Nut Cheesecake: I only tasted a spoonful of this, but it was good. I wouldn't get it again, for me, it was too sweet. They do have another cheesecake, which looks like a plain cheesecake, with a sauce on top. That, I will try. Spam Musubi: There seems to be more rice than what I am used to, so I cut it in half, and it made for the perfect bite. This was more than enough food; I have plenty to take to work for lunch and will have more to enjoy for dinner. I am so happy I visited. I will definitely visit periodically for a hamburger steak, and I am anxious to try their panko shrimp. Add them to your list, it is a must!!

Customers need to be warned that these are not your typical Hawaiian malasadas. If you know, you know! These malasadas are a sugar-coated donut from a typical donut shop with filling. Don't expect a malasada like Leonard's, Kamehameha, or Punalu'u bakeries. The ordering process was smooth and easy. I customized my order on the app and provided a pickup time. The donuts were soft and fluffy with a flavorful filling. Have a toothbrush handy, the fillings are sweet. I felt like I was getting a cavity. I've been seeing purpose ice cream macarons everywhere. I finally decided to try the passion fruit guava, cereal milk, raspberry pistachio, and salted caramel. They are pricey, yet I enjoyed each one. The Aloha Maid drinks and Noms candies are ok if you want to try them. I noticed many customers purchasing shaved ice. I will have to order one when I return. My overall experience was great! I would stick with their traditional box. It's always available in-store. I enjoyed all the fillings. However, I would go with vanilla and chocolate next time. Both seemed less sweet compared to the other fillings. Note: Boxes are pre-made, so you can't switch between fillings. You must order a day before to customize your order.

It goes so well with rice. whatever you do, definitely get it. The duck blood "soup" also came with other items like spam, tripe and intestines and veggies. It was numbing and spicy, but definitely not too crazy. Also the hot and sour soup was amazing. The Ambiance is really laid back.
