I bought a groupon for a "60 minute herbal massage + a full facial"…read more Right when I checked in they told me that the entire service was 60 minutes long. I explained that on the website it said it was a total of 110 minutes and that how could a 60 minute massage AND a full facial all be 60 minutes. The girl at the counter said that many customers kept getting confused and she had told her manager to change it and she(manager) didn't listen. So she went to the back to call the manger, and the manager told me it was 30 minutes for each. I showed her the groupon and she was not understanding how the groupon I purchased could not be 60 minutes total. She said that if they did the longer service with my groupon purchase that she would not have enough money to pay her employee.... I empathize with this however, I paid for a service and as the customer, I should not have to receive less than what I fairly paid for because of the managers mistake. When they looked at my groupon, they kept telling me that I had only paid $50 which was true. I paid that amount on my credit card because I had a groupon gift card. But they kept saying that I had only paid a cheap amount although I had paid the full price of the groupon. I said thank you but that I had paid for a longer service and would just make another plan. The manger said she could do 45 minute massage and 45 minute facial and honestly I had really been looking forward to this self care day so I agreed. They lead me to a room where I was told to change and just keep the towel on. The room was not very relaxing right off the bad. When I had to change all they did was close the door but a big window on the door with no curtain provided me no privacy. So I had to hide in the corner to change. The back massage was good, good pressure and quality. The neck and head massage was very rushed though. When that was done I flipped over for the facial which was not great. I had just wet paper towels on my eyes while they put on the different lotions. I had a good facial massage from one of the products they put on. The extractions portion was very very painful, I had to ask them to stop and my face is now extremely agitated from what they were picking at it. It looks worse than it did upon my arrival. And when they started the extraction portion, they just without warning turned on the huge and bright overhead room lights. But to end it, I was left in a room with the wet paper towels again just on my eyes and a red light machine over me for what was maybe 10-15 minutes. When it had been too long, they rushed back in, wiped my face with the towels and said "okay, you're done put your clothes on" no soft end to the service. They didn't even take off the headwrap from my hair, I had to do that myself. Overall, I saw some people have had a good experience. I'm sad to say that I did not have that same experience.

People don't believe me when I tell them it's a tattoo because April does such an amazing job at creating a natural make up look. We made an appointment and still waited nearly an hour. No apology, no explanation, and absolutely zero respect for our time. But the worst part was the cleanliness. The facility was disgustingly dirty and did not appear hygienic at all. For a place where proper sanitation should be a priority, what we saw was extremely concerning. I'd go to Jackie and KK the most but back then Anju did a good job. After a while, I'd go to KK exclusively because she knew EXACTLY how I liked my brows and was always consistent. I'd go with my grandma, who would usually go to KK or Anju or Jackie. Well, she had to stop going to Anju because Anju would leave her eyelids cut up more often than not. I had already stopped going with Anju because she messed up on me a few times and didn't really listen when I'd tell her what I wanted. I knew her personally for so many years, so I just let it slide and would go to KK. I also understood why my grandma would stop going (she also had fewer hairs to remove with age). I moved to San Francisco, so I would only come here when I was in town visiting family. I'd make the effort to come in once a month to maintain my shape. But then I started to notice that KK was there less frequently. All of a sudden, she's gone. Why is this suspicious? Well KK is a sweetheart and for a while, she basically helped Anju run the place. She handled the phone, payments, services, and cleanup. Some days there was even a line because everyone was waiting for KK, so Anju and another woman (not Jackie) had no work. They often seemed annoyed about it. After seeing reviews about Anju in the recent years, this makes sense. It just feels weird to see reviews about customers being told KK was fired. I, too, was told she went back to school or went on vacation. This can only hold up so long, I guess. So, then they started to tell people she was fired. When I was first told she went back to school I was confused. I talked to KK for years and knew she was in school, so I figured she decided to go back full time. Then I saw reviews saying she went on vacation. So, I called back out of curiosity and was told the "she's on vacation" line. Weird. I miss KK and still haven't found someone as gentle, precise, and kind as her. She was always so sweet and even during the pandemic she's cover up and make sure to keep her hands clean. Anju has always been so kind to me and my grandma, but I've seen her and the business change over the last few years. She seems far less into it now and I'm so sad to see it reflected in her and this once great salon.

I had full, natural brows before -- all they needed was a little shaping. Instead, she took off way too much and completely ignored the natural shape of my brows. They're now uneven and ridiculously thin. I left the salon staring at myself in the mirror wondering how a "clean up" turned into a full-on over-plucking disaster. For reference, the photo I'm posting is WITH eyebrow gel, and they still look sparse. Without it? Even worse. Eyebrows take months to grow back, so this isn't just a minor mistake -- it's something I'm going to be dealing with for a long time. If you value your eyebrows and only want a light clean up, I would seriously think twice before coming here. Extremely disappointed.
