Cardamom Turkish Coffee
Crystal M.

I'm not sure if I should write a review for corner Café or Zaza? Since the top of the building says corner Café here we are. What a delightful surprise a Turkish Café with Turkish delights from baklava to coffee to teas and gifts. We were pleasantly surprised by our Turkish coffee, which had a strong, sweet delightful taste. My photos reflect the adorable ambience of the cafe. The owner was very friendly and talkative. He helped us understand what we were ordering offered to change it if we didn't like it tell us a little bit about the readings of the coffee grounds. I ordered the vegan dessert and we also had the baklava. Both of us were very happy with our desserts and coffee. We eventually bought some tease to go if you have a chance and are in the mood for some coffee I would highly recommend Zaza!

Best coffee in Anacortes so delicious. They have authentic Turkish coffee and authentic Turkish desserts. The baklava are amazing so good and the best service ever. Leo Zaza Owner is the best.

Tasty Cardamom Turkish latte just to give you the jolt of energy for the rest of your day. Even though it's attached to the grocery store, they have a variety of drinks and treats for anyone to enjoy. Great service as you can tell they care about the drinks they're making for their clientele.

I dare you to resist a Turkish treat

Delicious baked treats direct from Turkey, friendly and caring owner providing the service and super easy access. Perfect pre- or post-ferry stop or whenever you want some authentic Turkish/Mediterranean food and excellent coffee. Support local instead of chains and try something different from everyone else.

Turkish black tea

The tea is delicious (tried both a pot ofthe Turkish black and then an oatmilk chai). The owner is really sweet and understood I just needed an hour or so of WiFi and tea to meet a deadline. I sampled the lentil soup and it's great. I didn't try any pastries due to nut allergy but they looked amazing.

Very good and unique coffee experience. If you have never tried Turkish Coffee, made by a passionate Turkish man, you need to go here. You can tell the owner loves what he does. Is very kind and the coffee taste so smooth. Also, the baklava and other delicacies were

A lovely cardamom Turkish latte and the remnants of the best walnut baklava I've ever had!

Sugar Mama's is by far my favorite place to eat in Anacortes!…read more The food is DELICIOUS. It tastes like homemade if you could really make it that good at home. You can tell everything is made from scratch and with care. I have tried many of the menu items, and have loved each one. Their soups are amazing. I once read that a great chef once said, if you can make a good soup, you are an excellent cook. Judging by their soups alone, Sugar Mama's is outstanding. Their bakery items are addicting. I love all their cookies, and their cakes are scrumptious. And IMHO, they make hands down the BEST coffee in town. The staff at Sugar Mama's are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They treat you like you are family. They are welcoming and kind, and make you feel really happy and comfortable, so you enjoy your food even more. The ambiance is perfect. In the winter, you can be cozy inside with the fireplace going and a delicious latte. In the summer, you can relax on the deck and enjoy a delicious mocktail. They also serve wines and other beverages. I love this place so much. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit!

Driving up, the restaurant looked fresh, clean, Homie, and adorable! When we arrived, we are quickly accommodated, even though it looked like it was going to be a busy evening. We were seated at a gorgeous pink table for two. The wait person immediately and took our drink, order, rapidly returning for our food order. Everything came out super fast and precisely as ordered. We ordered the fresh squeezed lemonade, the hummus wrap, and the quesadillas, all of which were beyond incredible! Everything is fresh, healthy, and perfectly seasoned! I truly can't say enough about the food and the service at this exceptional establishment! I will be returning!

So we were driving towards Deception Pass and saw this HUGE warehouse with the word CREAMERY on it…read more My wife immediately started googling. Bookmarked for our return trip. We actually made it on our way back and so glad we did. They have a lot of unique flavors. We just got a couple double scoops so we could try more flavors! Once Baked Cookie Dough (5): My wife loves the traditional cookie dough so this piqued our interest. If you've ever had a pizookie, its sort of like that. Sort of underbaked and soft. It was delicious! Coffee Toffee Crunch (5): Can't go wrong with a coffee/toffee combo. Their slow churned process makes this really creamy and delicious! Wild Blackberry (4): Curiosity got to us on this one since wild blackberries seem to be everywhere up here. I've had some really good ones and some really questionable ones. This was good. What I'd expect. What this proved to me was their sweet cream base is amazing and can be paired with anything really. Lemon Raspberry (5): Wasn't expecting much but this one blew me away. This was my favorite of the group! Sweet and tart and fruity all at the same time with no flavor overpowering another. Very good. Cold Brew Float (4): This is really just a cup of the ice cream of your choice. Then you grab a can of their cold brew and pour it on top. I went with their mint chip. It was good. The cold brew was good. This is something I feel like I'd do at home too. (and I think I will cause we're taking some pints home!) Overall, a great stop on your way to wherever. They have pints to take home as well. Luckily we had a cooler in the car so we took home our favorite flavors. We'll be making this a stop whenever we're in the area now.

Lots of flavours to choose from here, with a good mix of unique options and more familiar classics…read more The ice cream definitely felt premium, with a rich, high-cream-content texture that made it feel a step above your typical ice cream shop. We tried the blackberry pint, which was nice and not overly sweet, although I felt like the blackberry flavour itself could have come through a bit more. The pints are also a great deal, and I would have picked some up to take home if they had dry ice available. Too bad they don't, since that would make it much easier to bring some back with you. Overall, a really nice afternoon treat, especially if you can enjoy it out on the patio. Would definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

Living in Anacortes, we certainly have choices when it comes to where we stock our pantries. Sure,…read moreyou can head just a few blocks over to Safeway and save a bit of cash, as many of the prices at "The Market" tend to run noticeably higher. But for a long time, I thought supporting a local spot was worth the extra coin for the neighborhood vibe. Unfortunately, my last weekend trip completely soured that experience. They say that in the produce section, just one bad apple can spoil the entire bunch--and the exact same philosophy applies to customer service. If you happen to shop on a weekend, you might just run into their most disagreeable staff members, prime examples of whom seem to be holding down the registers. Take Lee F., for instance. I expected a pleasant checkout, but instead received an experience defined by sharp, deeply rude responses that left me wondering why she is stationed anywhere near the public. If management has any sense of self-preservation for their customer base, they might want to consider shifting her to the overnight crew where human interaction isn't a requirement. Until they figure out that a sour cashier can ruin an entire shopping experience just as fast as bruised fruit, I'll be taking my grocery budget elsewhere.
